"cannot connect to itunes store" from my ipod touch 4thgen over wifi
I have tried setting my restrictions to allow, making sure my wifi connection is solid. I can access every other app that uses the internet except the itunes & app store apps on my ipod touch. I looked in settings and it has my login information from my last sync on windows. My wifi settings; ip address starts 10.0.xxx.x. Has anyone else encountered this and how to fix this connection issue? Thank You.
Two things to try. Please reply with what works.
1: Turn on Airplane mode, then turn it off again. This resets internet related settings.
Does it work?
2: Changing the DNS in Setting, Wi-Fi, DHCP tab, DNS , replace with 8.8.8.8 (Google) or 8.8.4.4 (Google)
Does it work?

More than likely its your router. You need to make sure that the router's firewall, if enabled(most are by default), permits connection to these domains as trusted:
* itunes.apple.com
* ax.itunes.apple.com
* albert.apple.com
* gs.apple.com

Cannot connect to itunes store from iphone4
I cannot connect to itunes store from my iphone 4. v4.2.10. It use to work and now I keep getting this error, any suggestions.
You don't have another device like a mac book or a mac sitting close to it while you do this do you? When I try to use the iPad next to a Powerbook 800 while both have to connect to the wireless in my house, usually the iPad loses and gets incomplete connections. I have to move about 10 feet away from the other device.

Cannot connect to iTunes store from any device
I can't seem to connect to iTunes store from my Macbook pro, iPhone or iPad. This problem just happened recently, no idea what's wrong.
Hi tracyk223,
Welcome to the Support Communities! It is puzzling that you cannot access the iTunes Store from three different devices. Were you able to access other websites? The first step would be to make sure your internet connection is working.
Another thing to try would be to follow the steps for the iPhone in the article below and see if you can make a cellular connection instead of using Wi-Fi.
Can't connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update(iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Hopefully, one of the troubleshooting steps outlined in the article will get you back on track...
Happy Holidays!

"Cannot Connect to iTunes store" from phone.
Weird problem: For some reason I cannot download new Apps to my iPhone 4s from the phone. I can update existing apps fine, and I can search for new apps fine, but if I want to install a new App from the iTunes store on the phone itself, I always get a message: "Cannot connect to itunes store". It happens on WiFi, on 3g, on Edge... I've restarted the phone and reinstalled the software from scratch.
It's not an issue I've had before, on my 3gs. Any ideas? It's an annoying issue to say the least....I believe for apps you use the app store.
The itunes store is to download music/shows/video is that what your trying to download. -

HT201412 "cannot connect to iTunes Store" from my iphone
When I try to update or download apps, i get the following message: "cannot connect to iTunes store". HELP
If you are doing it using Wifi I would try to refresh the connection.
I do this quickly by turning Airplane mode on for a few seconds to disconnect from 3G and WiFi. When you turn Airplane mode off you should reconnect to your networks. This may clear the problem.
If not reset your phone, hold the Home and power button's down at the same time until the Apple logo apears on screen. wait for your phone to restart. You may have to log into your wifi network if it is secured. -
Cannot connect to itune store from iphone 3g
if i go to "app store" with my iphone 3g i can go to top 25 or featured sites but if i go to categories i have a note "cannot connect to itunes store" help !
any suggestion ?any suggestion ?
Be patient. The App Store is having issues today. In the morning, the "check for updates" function could not be accessed. In the afternoon, that was fixed, but reviews of apps could not be entered. This seems to be the latest problem (also occurring for me, so it's the App Store, not your phone). So, try again later - they'll get it sorted at some point soon! -
Cannot connect to iTunes Store from my iPad mini
I can't connect to iTune store from my iPad mini after upgraded to IOS7.
Thanks this worked for me. Only mine was already set to "From third parties and advertisers". I just switched it to "never". Then I opened itunes and it worked. So I went back and changed it to "From third parties and advertisers" and all is well. iTunes works fine!
I was hesitant to restore to factory settings and install from a back up as other people advised online. -

if enabled touch "Disable Restrictions", at witch point it will ask you for the four digit code.
try reset all settings
setting>general>reset reset all settings
If restrictions are enabled, and you do not know the four digit code you will have to restore your ipad.

When I try to connect to App Store, I receive an error message stating, "cannot connect to iTunes Store. I show 3 bars on my wifi connection? Can someone help...why if I tap App store, does a iTune error message display?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again. -

Hello
I have upgrated my Ipod touch to Ios 5.0.1 and until recently i was able to download and update Apps from itune store from both my Netbook and Ipod Touch 4g . The weird thing is i am able to browse the store but only not able to doanload or update it says to check network connections. And also i am not able to open the Apple ID login page from both Ipod touch and netbook. Now from yesterday even my gamecenter wont login. I have tried so many solutions provided in the forums and discussions,
Tried resetting the Network setting
Tried resetting all the settings
Tried Hard Reset
Tried Logout and Login the Apple id
Tried with parental controls turning off , turning them on uncheck , recheck the settings
tried deleting hosts files
Tried to restore - which annoyingly did not restore coz it gives me an error cannot connect to software update
Tried Lan settings - uncheck Proxy Server
I have tried open the Apple Id in my office computer and it opened just fine. I am able to browse other websites from both Safari and my IE 8 and Chrome. But still i am not able to connect.
Now i have reset my password and need to check if that will work .
But can anyone help me with this. Its drivning me crazy for the past few days and i am kicking myself for upgrading to IOS 5 instead of my old version . Please helpThank you so much for replying. But resetting my apple I'd Password seems to have done the trick. I am able to download apps :). Got me worried I even uninstalled kaspersky 2012 :( got to reinstall back
