"Cannot connect to iTunes Store" on iPhone 4S
New iPhone 4S (iOS 5) displays "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" message when trying to download an app using wifi or cellular network.
It will install apps by connecting to computer and syncing with iTunes.
iPhone able to view App Store, iTunes Store, Apple ID site etc.
Another new iPhone in the same household can download from the iTunes Store via wifi.
Tried restarting iPhone, manually closing all apps, signing out of Store (in Settings).
Any other ideas on how to restore iTunes Store functionality?
Thanks
Christine....

More than likely its your router. You need to make sure that the router's firewall, if enabled(most are by default), permits connection to these domains as trusted:
* itunes.apple.com
* ax.itunes.apple.com
* albert.apple.com
* gs.apple.com

Cannot update apps getting error "cannot connect to itunes store." iphone 4
So for 2 months I have not been able to update any of my apps due to the error code "cannot connect to itunes store. I can download new apps, buy music, itunes works fine but I cannot update anything. I have tried resetting, logging in and out of id, turning wifi on and off. Pretty much everything that a not so technical person can do. I have read numerous posts about this on going issue that seems a lot of people are having but no solution yet. Can someone please help me? Many thanks for any information offered up.
Same issue, which I also sent this same question to both the iPhone, and iPad disscussion boards. What the **** is going on? ive done everything nickgilb did, and still the same message... "Cannot connect to iTunes Store."
I'd love some help people!
Thanks! -

Cannot connect to itune store from iphone 3g
if i go to "app store" with my iphone 3g i can go to top 25 or featured sites but if i go to categories i have a note "cannot connect to itunes store" help !
any suggestion ?any suggestion ?
Be patient. The App Store is having issues today. In the morning, the "check for updates" function could not be accessed. In the afternoon, that was fixed, but reviews of apps could not be entered. This seems to be the latest problem (also occurring for me, so it's the App Store, not your phone). So, try again later - they'll get it sorted at some point soon! -

Cannot connect to iTunes Store from iPhone
For awhile now i have been unable to access iTunes Store (to download anything) from my iPhone. I've checked the settings and everything seems to be in order... even checking passwords and logins... so - any other ideas??
I am able to log into iTunes from my iPhone (i checked my account info)
But, I am unable to update any Apps through the App Store. Everytime I try, it comes up with the error "Cannot connect to iTunes Store"
And that's where I'm stuck. -
SOLVED: Cannot connect to iTunes store on iPhone 4
I figured I'd post this incase someone else is having this issue. It may not fix it all the time, but it worked for me.
Everytime I tried to download an app, I would get the error message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I reset my password and even tried to reboot my phone. SOLUTION: I had to go under Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
I was able to connect to iTunes store after that.
Hope this helps anyone with the same issue.Didn't work for me. Everything was working last night and now no matter what I do I can't connect to the itunes store on my phone via wifi.

Cannot connect to itunes store on iphone 4
I just got the iPhone 4 and everytime I try to download a app, a alert pops up telling me I cannot connect to the iTunes Store. I signed out of iTunes and then back on and tried disconnecting the wifi and then connecting it back, still no results. I NEED HELP!
Log out of iTunes on the phone, connect it to the computer with iTunes logged in and sync. It should carry the sign in for iTunes and you should be okay. After the sync is complete, check the store and see if you are signed in on the iPhone, you should be. Try your purchase again.

TS1368 Cannot Connect to iTunes Store on iPhone 4 since upgrading to IOS 6
Have read several threads on this - none of the suggestions have worked. Losing my patience w/ this update - fixing iTunes Match was a nightmare that required me to restore my phone twice. Typically I use a feature in Slacker or SiriuxXM where you can purchase a song from iTunes via a direct link in one of those apps. This no longer works, nor does using the "Search" feature in the iTunes Store app. My settings are correct - though the nonsense of having an iCloud ID and a Store ID no doubt has something to do with this. Has anyone been able to resolve this using any technique other than manually changing the date and time in settings to 5 years in the future then setting it back (because this has not worked).
Thank you.Refere to this article:

"cannot connect to itunes store" rebellious iPhone :'(
I've tried everything I could find on the web on this issue but nothing helps.
Yesterday there was an update for one of my apps on my iPhone 4s, but it would not update itself. I could not install any new apps either. My iPad had the same problem. After changing the DNS on my iPad to 8.8.8.8 the issue on my iPad was resolved (yay!). But my iPhone kept giving problems. Now I'm at work, on a different wifinetwork, and still nothing helps. I've tried:
turning wifi off and on
setting a different date
turning 'Set automatically' date function off and on
deleting my iBooks app
turning restrictions on and off
turning iPhone on and off
killing all active apps before turning iPhone off and on
Does anyone have a bright idea on what to do next?I am getting the same thing on two iPhones, and an iPad. However it looks like iTunes is woring fine.
