Cannot connect to netflix site.

Hey there,
So up until 2 days ago my netflix would work fine, but now every time i type the adress in my url bar it will not load and just says "failed to open page" and ive tried every browser. I called netflix and they told me something about a VPN, i live in canada but when signing up i used an american zip code, but that cant be the problem because it was working fine before, plus my friends and family still have working acess to my account and they all live in canada. its only my macbook that wont load the site. If anyone has any idea what the problem is any help would be greatly appreciated, netflix sure as **** didnt know when i called them.
Anyway thank you in advance!

HaHaLooLoo,
I’m sorry — I missed that in your first post. Try this: press Command-Shift-U to open your Utilities folder, and open Terminal.app. In the Terminal window, give it the following command, pressing Return at the end:
curl -S -i https://signup.netflix.com/
Do you get any output returned by this command?

    ..hi, Diesel.
..after resetting, and for the first time ever, ATV2 is able to access Netflix and that I was able to log in for the first time too!  It stayed on processing for the longest time getting in into Netflix.  However, the same message "Netflix is currently unavailable.  Try again later."  had reappeared on tv screen after.  Resetted and restarted ATV2 again but the same message had reappeared.

  • "Configuration Manager cannot connect to the site" after site update from SP1 to R2

Our dev SCCM environment only has a single primary site with a remote SQL database.  Initially, the dev primary site had SP1 Beta (5.00.7782.1000) installed but as everyone is aware there is no upgrade path available to SP1 or R2 from Beta; so, we uninstalled
the site and removed the database, re-installed SP1 non-Beta (5.00.7804.1000), then proceeded to update all devices with the latest client agent.  Afterwards, we attempted to upgrade the site from SP1 non-Beta (5.00.7804.1000) to R2 (5.00.7958.1000).
All seemed well until we attempt to open the Configuration Manager console and we get the following error message:
Configuration Manager cannot connect to the site (Site Name)
The Configuration Manager Administrator console could not connect to the Configuration Manager site database. Verify the version of the console is compatible with the version of the site server you are connecting to and then try to connect again.
So we tried reinstalling the console directly from here...
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools\ConsoleSetup\AdminConsole.msi"
still the same error message persisted, so we tried installing it from here...
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools\ConsoleSetup\ConsoleSetup.exe"
still the same error message persisted, so then we tried installing it directly from the R2 (5.00.7958.1000) installation media, and afterwards the same error message persisted....
All along, we were checking the AdminConsole log from here:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminConsole\AdminUILog\SmsAdminUI.log"
    Here are the contents:

Once again, we validated we could connect to the SQL database from this box, and that the console was at the same version as the site.  Any help or guidance with getting our access to the console restored after the SP1 to R2 upgrade would be greatly
    appreciated.

From the Primary Site Server, I tried uninstalling the Admin Console and re-installing using:
    consolesetup.exe /q TargetDir="%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Configuration Manager" EnableSQM=0 DefaultSiteServerName=<SiteServerName>
Of course replacing <SiteServerName> with the FQDN of my Primary Site Server.  Console installed successfully however the same error message persists.
Also tried installing the console on a clean Windows Server 2008 R2 installation.  I tried it from the R2 (5.00.7958.1000) installation media, from the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools\ConsoleSetup\" both without any luck, the
same error message persists.  I verified I could ping the FQDN of the site server also, and that the firewall between the two permits communication over the ports listed here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh427328.aspx
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

seems like ,cannot connect to wmi. can you try performing the below steps to make sure if you are able to connect wmi namespace remotely ?
Click Start, click Run, and then type wbemtest.
Click Connect, type \\siteserver\root\sms, and then click Login.
Click Enum Classes, click Recursive, and then click OK.
In the Query Result list, double-click SMS_ProviderLocation.
Click Instances, and then double-click the line that contains the target site code. For example, SMS_ProviderLocation.SiteCode="<var style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0px;padding:0px;">xxx</var>."
In the Properties section, locate the NamespacePath line. You may have to double-click this line to see the whole line.
Copy the NamespacePath value to the clipboard. For example, copy the following value:
    \\<var style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0px;padding:0px;">server_name</var>\root\sms\site_<var style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0px;padding:0px;">xxx</var>

is it happening to all users remotely ? any changes or patches applied to the server ?

  • With Range Expander I cannot connect to GOOGLE site~ Please HELP ME~!

I purchased this range expander a month ago, since then I cannot connect to the GOOGLE and some other websites. Can anyone know what the problem is?
I tried everything the google site and the other people suggested yet it did not work.
Please help me to fix this problem.
I even formated this hard drive and re-installed Win XP....ㅜ,ㅜ
Someone told me that the problem could be from the expander because of firewall or something..

make sure that all wireless settings on the expander matches the wireless settings on the router.  and for one, im not aware that the expander has a firewall? only router does.

  • SCCM 2012 console cannot connect to the site

Last Friday for some unknown reason my SCCM console stopped connecting to the site. Reboots of both site servers (MP and database) did nothing. The error is the same as this picture:  http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q0A5GonM498/UCDkreFxc9I/AAAAAAAAAQk/67AQ5tGW_d4/s1600/SCCM%2BConsole.JPG.
I went home for the weekend and on Monday I was actually able to connect to the site. It would take about an hour, but finally the console would load, with the correct information from the site. If I clicked on a different area in the console it would take
forever (about 20 minutes), but it would finally change to that view as well. In troubleshooting I followed all the steps in the attached article, except rebuilding the MOFs.  (http://schadda.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-to-fix-issues-related-with_7.html)
After finding that none of that helped I installed CU4 hoping that would help. It completed, but with errors in building the four packages (console, x86, x64 and server). Now the console goes back to the original error and won't connect at all, including
    from the actual server.
I have checked and there does not appear to be any bottleneck between the two servers. Network is as it was previously and I can still telnet to the SQL port (1433) from the Management Point.
    Infrastructure:
2 servers, running Server 2012 R2 - one server is running everything except the SQL services; SQL Services are running on the second server
SCCM is at 2012 R2 level (now at CU4, was at CU3 at start of problem)
Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Configuration Manager Cannot Connect to the Site After SP1 Install

I've been working on this all morning and can't seem to get anywhere on it. I've updated SCCM 2012 to SCCM 2012 SP1 and SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2008 SP3 CU4 and I can no longer connect to the site database. I've checked though the SQL settings as well
as SPN settings and everything checks out. I've looked at the SMSAdminUI log and to me it looks like SCCM can't even see the site database.

  • Cannot connect to web site or get podcast

Around Xmas, I noticed that one of the podcasts I subscribe to through itunes had stopped updating. I then tried going to the source site with Safari, and it too wouldn't load. I chalked it up to a server being down, and tried again a couple days later. Turns out the site seems fine. I can get to it from work (on an XP machine), I can ping it from my emac just fine, but trying to get to it through Safari or Camino returns nothing. The connection doesn't time out (I let the page request run overnight once just to see what happens). I have flushed the lookupd, rebooted the router and emac. I have checked the router logs, and it doesn't appear to even log the request for the site. I can get to the site using one of the browsing anonymizer systems. Frankly I'm stumped. I hadn't made any changes at that time. I have since loaded the latest 10.4 update, and run the update permissions, reset Safari. Still nothing.
Any thoughts? The site I am referring to is www.wdwinfo.com. I posted something on one of their other sites, and got a response from another Mac user that he/she was also having this problem, but no solutions.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    John.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried it with another account on the same computer. I also tried your suggestion on the dns servers as well. Your suggestions also had me try something else. I have an ibook, so I pulled it up, using airport to connect to the same dsl router via wifi. I tried to connect to the site with the ibook, with the same result. No connection, it just sits and spins when I try to connect.
Could it be the router somehow?

  • A previously trusted site is now telling me that the I cannot connect to the site becuase it is untrusted. Is this a hacker? what is going on?

I work for Chacha and I cannot access my payment or log in to the "Universe" as they call it to do my job. It tells me the site connection is not trusted because it was signed by an unknown source. It worked about a week ago but Friday it stopped. The message says if it is a site that previously worked it may be a hacker.
== URL of affected sites ==
    https://universe.chacha.com/

There is a problem with the certificate on that web page.
    From http://www.networking4all.com/en/support/tools/site+check/
''Error while checking the SSL Certificate!!''
If you no longer have that missing intermediate GoDaddy certificate on your computer then you will get the untrusted error message.
Try to visit this site to make Firefox save that certificate: https://certs.godaddy.com/anonymous/repository.seam

  • Cannot connect at a site, whereas other iPad users can? What happened?

I fail to find a network at a particular site while other iPad users have no problem connecting?
I have not encountered this before? Is this something to do with the 'forget this network' button, which I may have pressed trying to connect?
    Help please!

    1. No, bizarrely enough there is no search function in the Extensions page. Why, I cannot say, but it IS annoying.
    2. Have a look in this folder
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Move anything that is in it to a Temp folder (e.g., create one on your desktop), restart Safari and test to see if that solves the problem.
If not, move the plug-ins back. If so, move each back one at a time and test till you figure out which one is the culprit.

  • Safari cannot connect to SSL sites

Safari suddenly started having trouble accessing any site with an SSL certificate, including Yahoo, MSN and Apple .Mac.
Seems like a core SSL engine problem because mail is also having trouble if I try to log in to gMail.
Not sure if it's a related problem, but I just noticed all kimds of crashes in Console related to MDS which is the Spotlight Meta Data Server. Spotlight is not working at all for me right now.
Firefox allows me to browse to these sites that I can't get to in Safari.
I called AppleCare and they had me Reset Safari... which clears all cookies, cache, etc., but that had no affect on the problem. Then I got hung up on. Will call them backl later today but looking for help on these boards.
It seemed like it could have started right after the recent time change, but I have no idea if that could have affected anything. I have it set to auto change the time.

this is the log i have found.. can any one idea to resolve this issue.

Ensure that the account you are using has access to view and open SCCM console
I think you need to give access to user in Administration >> Security

  • Cannot connect to the site

We installed Config manager and only added one admin account. During our install, something happened with Exchange and all of our Domain accounts were deleted during a botched mailbox move.
So now, no one is able to access the Config manager sites we have set up since no other accounts were added to it. Is there anything we can do?
When I attempt to log in with my domain admin account, I receive
The user account running the Configuration Manager console has insufficient permissions to read information from the Configuration Manager site database. The account must belong to a security role in Configuration Manager.
Is there anything inside of the database itself that I can do to get access? This is a lab, so it's OK if it needs reinstall, but we're trying to avoid that.

Peter's suggestion should work. If not, as it's a lab, it might be quicker to reinstall.

  • Cannot connect to netflix

I've read a couple of responses to this and it always seems that rebooting AppleTV fixes the problem.  Well, I've done it twice and i still get the problem.  Can access youtube and other stuff via atv and netflix streams fine on my computer.  Any additional ideas?

I have the same problems. Try to sign on but says wrong id or password.
