Cannot connect to nike plus form iTunes

I ran the diagnostics and it says that the internet connection status was failed. I'm able to get on the internet so i dont see how that can be. I'm also able to use the shop in itunes. I'm really confused and have tried everything i can think of to get this to work.

I figured it out!
I needed to set my default browser to IE.

Cannot connect to/open application to ITune.  Messages states that it cannot open "because another user has it open.  Ask them to quite and retry."  However there is no other user???  Thanks for any help.

You Windows must have different user profile where iTunes is open in that profile.  Switch windows user and close the iTunes, then return to your own user profile to open again.

Perhaps you would post the exact message?
And when exactly did you receive this message?

  • Cannot connect my ipad to the itunes store

When I try to access the iTunes Store with my iPad, I get the message "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store."  My Wifi connection is good and the signal is strong.  What might be the problem?

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

  • Cannot connect to Nike+ at all

Since yesterday I've been unable to connect to Nike+. It just hangs in Firefox and I have to force quit. The ipod connects up to itunes ok.
I can't even access nike.com properly from FF which makes me think it's not an ipod issue. (So I can't log on to ask on the NIKE forum). I've tried in Safari and nike.com hangs that too. I've tried accessing the 'classic' nike+ page and that hangs too.
Anyone else here having the same problem? Can anyone help?
OSX 10.6, FF 3.5, ipod 1st gen nano.
    Thanks,
    Gill

I've tried this solution here and it seems to work.

  • I cannot connect to Home Sharing on iTunes, so that I can send movies and TV shows to another computer.  The other "library" does not come up in the box on the upper right side of the iTunes screen.  I tried disconnecting each computer from Home Sharing.

I cannot connet to Home Sharing on iTunes, so that I can send movies and TV shows to another computer.  I cannot find the name of the other computer in the "Library" box on the upper right side of the iTunes screen.  Do I need to have the other computer connected to the Cloud?

Mkae sure you have enabled Home Sharing using the same AppleID on both computers.

  • Unable to connect to Nike+ website via iTunes

Just got my Nike+ stuff in today, and it won't let me connect to the site when it asks me to login to my Nike+ account via iTunes and connect to the Nike+ site.
When I go to login, I get an error saying I don't have an internet connection (although I'm on cable).
When I go to create a new account, it says it can't connect to the host site.
Any ideas? Anyone else run into this issue? I've made sure I have the latest software for iPod and latest version of iTunes already.

Are you using your apple login as your Nikeplus login? I was having the same problem as you. Our iTunes/ipods are listed under my husbands email but I registered with nikeplus with my own email address. It kept telling me that my nikeplus username/password were incorrect but I could login to the nikeplus site without a problem. I created a new nikeplus account with my husbands email address and iTunes connected just fine.
Of course, now I am upset that I am being forced to use the nikeplus site under my husbands email address.

  • Cannot connect to Software Update or iTunes store

When i launch software update the blue par goes up like 0% and stays there for about 10 minutes and a error message comes up saying, cannot connect and links me through to diagnostics.. My diagnostics are fine and i can browse fine. But still it doesnt work. It is the same situation for the iTunes store..
    Im running Leopard 10.5.1
    PLEASE help!

I'm having the same issue. I start up Software Update and it seems to start, then hangs for a half hour or more (I cancelled out after 30 minutes).
I'm guessing this might have something to do with all the updates they're releasing today, but it's still frustrating.

  • HT1947 Cannot connect to "Remote" App to iTunes 11

After I have upgraded to iTunes 11, the "Remote" app cannot connect to iTunes 11.  I hav edeleted the app, and re-download it.  It asks me to key in the 4-digit code on iTunes.  But I cannot find the Device List any more in iTunes 11.  Anyone knows how to resolve this.

It turns out that the "Remote" app has adopted the "Home Sharing" function instead of using a 4-digit code to pair an iDevices with the iTunes.
But my problem had more twists and turns.  Initially, I thought that it was Norton firewall that blocked the "Home Sharing".  After many trials, I found that the Actiontec router supplied for Verizon FIOS blocked the "Home Sharing".  After I disabled the IGMP proxy in router, everything worked as designed.  I would have never figured this one out.  Thanks everyone for posting on the different forums.

  • Itunes at Starbucks - cannot connect to Starbucks page but itunes does load

When I am at sStarbucks I get the small Starbucks icon at the bottom left of the page but my ipt will not connect.
It does connect to itunes but not the Starbucks feature page.
Occasionally the page flashes in the background but will not load.
Anyone get this feature to work or have a reason why it will not load?
    TIA
    Kevin

If I understood the StarBucks wifi connection, it is ONLY for Itunes! You will not be able to surf the net, you will be able to hear what song is playing in StarBucks then purchase that song on Itunes.
    Here is what they say:
    *Connect for free.*
As long as you have an iPod touch, an iPhone, or a computer with the latest version of iTunes, you get free Wi-Fi access to the iTunes Store and to Starbucks Now Playing content. Stroll into a participating Starbucks and you’re connected automatically. Browse and search the entire iTunes Store from your laptop or millions of songs on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store from iPod touch or iPhone. All at the same prices as the regular iTunes Store.
The free connection they are referring to is Itunes not the internet. At least that is my understanding of it.

  • Nike Plus and iTunes error (-9812)

    Hi,
I'm trying to sync my workout data to nikeplus.com from iTunes. I keep getting the error: -
"iTunes could not connect to nikeplus.com. An unknown error occurred (-9812).
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
I dont know how to fix this. Can someone suggest a solution? I cant find anything on the error details...
I am using Windows XP Home, iTunes v8.0.1.11, iPod Nano 1st Gen v1.3.1, FireFox v3.03 and I've set it to accept cookies from nike.com and nikeplus.com

Well after days of trying to figure this out..... i finally got it! It was something to do with my Kaspersky Anti-Virus/Firewall. I saw that when I connected my iPod to my PC, Kaspersky was scanning port 443. It kept returning an invalid certificate for www.nike.com. So I opened up the port settings for Kaspersky, unchecked the box for monitoring port 443 and tried again.
    It works perfectly!

  • Can't find nike plus in iTunes

Hello. Could someone help me figure out why the nike+ option doesn't appear when I sync my iPod to iTunes?  Or does anyone have any experience dealing with nike+ and Life Fitness cardio machines?  I work out on the Life Fitness machines and I always choose to have my workouts saved to my iPod.  Not only can't I find the data, I don't have the option to sync to nike+.  The Life Fitness machines say that I can view my stats on the nike+ website, but...no.  I've saved quite a few workouts.  Are they all lost?! Oh, my Touch is a 4 Gen.
    Thank you very much.

I believe that App is only available from the jailbroken App store Cydia. So we cannot help you here. Sorry.

  • Itune on iMac cannot connect to Airport Express, but Itune on XP can

    Hello
    I've the following situation:
Itune cannot see the Airport Express unless my Iphone Remote controle is connected to Itune. And eventhough, Itune fails to connect to it.
Here is the environment of my network
    1) third party LAN/Wireless router (connected to the internet)
    2) iMac (10.4.11) connected via the LAN port to the router
    3) Airport Express (7.3.2) connected to the wireless network
    4) one Iphone connected to the wireless network
    5) one XP computer connected to the wireless network
    6) All devices are in the same subnet
What really puzzle me is that Itune on the XP laptop can broadcast music to the Airport Express without any issue. But Itune on the Mac does not see at all the Airport Express unless I connect my Iphone to Itune. When I do so, the Airport Express become listed in the status bar of Itune. But if I try to make Itune connect to it, it try for a while then it stop trying without any error message.
I really don't understand what is going on. Does any body can give my a bit more information how Itune and Airport Express communicate? Or have any idea where I should direct my troubleshooting?
Thanks in advance for any help

So did i screw something up last night when i connected using my PC?
That sounds likely. Maybe the security type or password?
And if so how do i re-set the link with my mac??
Try the options described on pp. 30-33 of http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/AirPort_Express_SetupGuide.pdf
Once you get things working again, suggest you save the settings in a profile. In future when you bring the PC home, create a different profile for experimentation. Switch back to the usual profile when you're done with the PC. Eventually, you should be able to develop one profile that works with both machines.

  • I cannot connect my iPod touch to iTunes

There are several factors preventing me from connecting my sister's iPod Touch to iTunes on my computer (the same one I used to set up her iPod):
    1.  The sleep/wake button is jammed, or just doesn't work. The button ITSELF feels fine.  It pushes down with a "click" feel, like all of the other devices I use, but nothing happens. It fails to turn off or turn on the iPod; it's a dud.  I think this is the main issue.  She's had a problem turning it off, lately.  Since this is an ipod 3, I highly doubt the warranty is still active, and isn't worth getting Apple involved.
    2.  She was sleepy when she set her passcode and punched in the wrong numbers (which I don't understand, since it asks you to re-enter the password before it is accepted).  Unfortunately, as a theft deterrent, each time a password is incorrectly submitted, the wait time to re-enter becomes longer and longer until the device is disabled.  Now it shows the message, "IPOD IS DISABLED connect to iTunes".
    3.  Connecting to itunes brings up a message in iTunes:  "ITunes could not connect to iPod "iPod Touch" because it is locked with a passcode.  You must enter your passcode on the iPod Touch before it can be used with iTunes."
I Googled the "iTunes could not connect..." message, which gave instructions to restart the iPod with the sleepwake/homebutton trick, but that can't be successfully accomplished with a broken sleepwake button.
I Googled "broken sleep/wake button", but that gave instructions to restore the iPod in iTunes, but it won't connect in iTunes without the passcode correctly entered in the iPod.
I Googled "Wrong password", but that gave instructions to restore the iPod in iTunes.  [sigh!]
I asked my sister if she had a wobbly table or chair with one leg shorter than the rest, and she said she did.  I told her to place the iPod under the short leg. She asked, "How is that going to fix my iPod?"  I replied, "It isn't.  But it will fix your table."  Took her a few seconds to realize that it was all her iPod was good for.
I don't want to resort to the wobbly table fix just yet.  I thought if there was going to be a way to fix this without reaching out to the Apple store (which would probably only be able to sell her a new iPod), this would be the place to find the answer...a place where most genius iDevice users would hang out to help other users.
    Any suggestions?

    FIXED IT!!!!!
Ok, here's one of the problems I was having (among the others listed above):  I kept getting the message that I had to enter my passcode in the iPod.  I searched for solutions and came across one that said I had to close down iTunes first, before plugging in the iPod, so I did that.
Lo and Behold, the USB symbol appeared on the iPod when I plugged it in without opening iTunes.
I opened iTunes, and Lo and Behold again, the iTunes showed the ipod on the side and the message popped up that said it was in restore mode.  I selected "Restore and download new updates".
I was good to go, right?
    WRONG!!!
Every few minutes into the download, I would STILL get a message saying that I had to enter iPod's passcode, and the iPod would return to the dreaded "disabled" screen!  I tried it several times, with no success.
THEN I noticed that even though the iPod was unplugged from iTunes, the update continued to download.
    SO...
I waited until the update had seconds left to be completely downloaded.  Then I reduced (not minimized) iTune's window and clicked on the desktop background.  I plugged in the iPod, which again showed the USB symbal.  I maximized the iTunes window, and the message appeared as usual saying the iPod was in restore mode.  I selected the "restore and download" button, but THIS time, it didn't have enough time to reject the iPod.  Within seconds, the download was complete, and the restoration continued as normal (for other iPods, anyway).  I held my breath the whole way, but it's GOOD AS NEW!  By "Good as new", I mean her ipod has no apps or music.  She'll have to reinstall all that, but they're paid for.  Not sure about the music, which was her main concern, but even if she had to buy all that all over again, it's still much cheaper than buying a new iPod.
Guess she'll have to find something else to level her table.
    :::::EDIT::::
I'm sorry, planb77, I didn't see your last post.  I forgot to reload.  But thank you for your help.
By the way, the sleep/wake button still doesn't work right, but she can select to have the ipod shut down after X amount of minutes.  The only thing she'll have a problem with is turning the iPod off all the way (which she never does, anyway...who does?), and take screen shots.
