Cannot connect to port 25 externally and owa is not working

Hi all,
just finished installing exchange 2013 and all went well.   Internally, everything works perfectly.   However, I then moved my testing externally.   Browsing to https://mydomain/owa times out - as does https://mydomain/ecp
Also, I cannot telnet to my mail server either:  telnet mydomain 25 times out.  I can though telnet mydomain 143 and telnet mydomain 110 no problem.
I have setup the receive connector as per the instructions (in fact, it was already setup) the frontend default allows anonymous access (as it should).  Windows firewall is off.  Router forwarding ports fine.
I can telnet 25 locally and as I said, everything works internally.    Clearly, there is another step that has to be taken to allow external access to the port 25 and also for owa and ecp.  I have double checked the SERVERS - VIRTUAL
DIRECTORIES area and all the external url are correct.  Can someone help please?

Ok, I rechecked my router page by page and have found one solution .. .the https management page of the router defaults to 443 - so have changed that to 4443, rebooted router and can now access my http://mydomain/owa - so that is good.  However, still
cannot telnet to port 25 on the exchange server from external.  The port forwarding is definitely correct for port 25.
I have rechecked the receive connector:  MAIL FLOW -  RECEIVE CONNECTORS - DEFAULT FRONTEND SERVER
and under security - anoymous users is checked.   That SHOULD let me connect yes?  But it does not.
Where else does this need to be changed - can you advise?
regards
steve

  • HT4587 My airport express and wireless airplay speaker are connected to wife, but airplay and homesharing are not working...what to do?

My airport express and wireless airplay speaker are connected to WIFI, but airplay and homesharing are not working...what to do?  Everything was working fine until about two weeks ago, all of the sudden airplay has disappeared from the iphone, itunes on the laptop, and the apple remote for iphone.  I have restarted the router many times, re-setup the airplay speaker and the airport express and booth are showing as being properly connected to the router when I log into the router IP address.  I was on the phone with Apple support for 30 minutes they blames verizon, got on the phone with verizon and they stated the settings were all correct and compatible with apple, got back on the phone with apple and they again are blaming verizon and trying to get me to get an airport extreme because that would fix the problem...any suggestions, please!

There are three Airport resets, soft, hard and factory default.  It would probably be beneficial if you tried each one in sequence.  Actually, you could jump to the factory default reset if you don't mind reconfiguring from scratch.

    Hey chukrking,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The following article provides relevant troubleshooting information for your issue:
Troubleshooting printer issues in OS X
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3147
USB printers and Bonjour-enabled network printers
Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
    1. Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
    2. Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
    3. Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
    4. Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
    5. Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
    1. Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
    2. If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again.  Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
    3. Contact the printer vendor or visit their website for further assistance.
    Thanks,

  • Home sharing - cannot connect to media library - iOS 4.3.1 not working

This question might be answered... Posting anyway in case it helps anyone else (did not find answer when I searched). Feel free to ignore or contribute as you wish.
iPhone 3GS currently streaming a movie from MacBook Pro iTunes library so home sharing is working. It connected fine the first try.
iPad has not been able to connect. When it tries, it shows the library in the list. I select the library and the spinner starts. After about a minute (60 seconds) the error says Cannot connect to media library.
I have tried logging both devices off the wifi and logging back on while they are sitting right next to each other.
My wifi is set up with the wireless modem (n) with an Ethernet cable to another router used simply to extend the signal to the other side of the house (same network name -- this will probably cause some questions but I can't be sure it's the problem) ... So far AirPlay has worked fine, Apple tv works fine.
The library is not too large, only 1,000 songs and a couple dozen movies.
Not sure what other variables would be relevant.
    iTunes 10.2.1
    OSX 10.6.7
    MacBook Pro
    iPad (not iPad 2) iOS 4.3.1 (8G4)
    iPhone 3GS iOS 4.3 (8F190)
Hmm... I wonder if that is the problem. The version on the iPad (not working) is newer than the iPhone (working).
I thought I just updated both to the newest but I guess 4.3.1 is only a few days old.
Might have just answered my own question.

There is definitely something wrong with 4.3.1.
    My setup:
    iMac OS X 10.6.6
    iTunes 10.2.1(1)
iPhone 4 4.3.1 (8G4), Remote app on this phone was working fine with ATV's until I upgraded it to 4.3.1 today. Now it can not find the home share library or the ATV's.
iPad 2 32GB Verizon 4.3.1 (8G4), Just upgraded to 4.3.1, not seeing home share library at all.
ATV2 OS 4.3 (8F202), Software 4.2.1, Was working until the last update, now don't see home share library at all.
ATV2 OS 4.2.1 (8C154), Software 4.1.1, This one I did NOT get the update, works fine with no issues at all.
I have tried to turn Home Share On/Off, turn ATV's/iPhone/iPad On/Off and reset Home Sharing. Nothing works. I think it is pretty telling that the ATV without update works fine were all devices with 4.3.1 stopped working.
    Apply please fix!!

  • Applicaton Catalog - "Cannot connect to the application server" - Existing solutions have not worked

    Hi there,
I have researched the problem below extensively online and found quite a varies array of solutions offered however they all seem to relate to the problem in that someone was setting up SCCM but couldn't get it to work. My situation is different in that the
feature was working, no settings were changed however it has now stopped working.
The issue is that if any user attempts to use the app catalog, they are shown the error screen which says "Cannot connect to the application server". It then says the problem might be temporary, try again later etc however it's not temporary.
All the settings for the app catalog appear to be correct, as I would expect them to be as it was working (I am new to this company, the Desktop manager has told me it was working a few weeks ago).
Does anyone know of a service in Windows, maybe something to do with the SQL side or certificates that could cause this issue? (although I checked certificates and again, looks fine). I'm almost at the point now of just restarting the server because
if all else fails, turn it off and on again right?
    Cheers all.

Hi, I just typed a long reply to this and then accidentally clicked a favourite on the Favourites bar and lost everything I typed :(
-Checked the path in IIS to the \SMS_CCM\CMApplicationCatalog folder was OK and it was.
-Checked that required .NET components including WCF are installed.
-This one seemed a bit strange but ensured local service account has access to C:\Windows\Temp (this seemed very basic and unlikely but I tried it anyway due to desperation).
-Checked that self-signed certificate was trusted by my PC attempting to access the App Catalog.
-Checked SCCM services on the server are all running (where they should be, or set to manual as appropriate).
I'm sure I've tried more than this, but these are the main things I can remember.
    Cheers.

  • Bridge Cache Destination Cannot be Changed from Old User and Find does not Work

Often administrators find themselves in a position of making a new admin account to resolve a lost system drive or some compatibility problem.
If Bridge has a cache destination linked to this old account, it is due to the older admin account being deleted before the new admin account is setup in Bridge with the cache destination properly linked to the new user cache in the library locations for bridge caches.  This problem causes some headaches with things like keywords and find.
If you have had to restore your system or generate a "new user" account, it would be important to go into Bridge and ensure that your cache preference in pointing at the right location, before deleting the "old user".  If the "old user" is deleted, you might find the cache location locked to this "old user" in a file structure that no longer exists.  This makes if fixed and unchangeable.
If you encounter this problem, regenerate the old user name as an administrator account.  Go into that account and start Bridge.  Check the location of the cache file in the preferences.  You will see that it is located in the proper place for this new account.  It is also the same location as your current account which no doubt you have found is frozen into place.
At this point, while in the "old user" admin account:
Go get info on your "old user"/Library/Caches/Adobe/Bridge CS3/Cache
Note the folder nest and go to each folder and apply permissions to each of these folders that allow your "new user" read and write access.  You can do this in one step by applying the permissions to the Library folder and all enclosed folders, but who knows what that might do.  Focus on solving the problem.
    Then:
Switch back to your "new user" (that is your current user) account, open Bridge, go to the preference for cache and you will note, magically, it is now located in the right account, it has been unfrozen from the "old user", once deleted, and now brought back to life to help you get ride of this problem.
For good measure, press the choose button, you will find you go to the finder to the right location in your "new user"/current user account.
You will also find that FIND works after this and also Bridge is zippy and fast as it should be.
You can now quit Bridge, Log Out of your "new user" account, log back in and find that all is just the way it should be.  Once this is done, go into your system preferences for users and delete the "old user" account (into the trash, do not save a thread).
It seems that there are many situations where reviving and old user id will help with repairs to permissions problems in a mac that has been through system drive failure or significant application conflicts that require making a new user.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • Closed connection in stalled screen sharing and now does not work

Using screen sharing I created a second admin account on the computer 2. I enabled quick account switching and tried to switch user accounts to the new admin account. I linked the new admin account to be shared with my existing admin account on computer 1. The screen never switched over to my new admin account and I couldn't quit screen sharing so I closed the connection with computer 2. Now I can't share the screen with computer 2 at all, even using my original admin account (not the newly created one). I can't reboot my computers because it will abort jobs that need to remain running.
I can still share screens between computer 1 and other computers (i.e. not computer 2) but when I try to share with computer 2, it doesn't even ask me to log in.

This issue remains unresolved, but since Apple Discussions decided to archive my question it is impossible to receive any replies.

  • Iphone 4s - 3G connection disappears , it's on and it's not working at all (only wi-fi "home" works and i'm not home all the time)

i  think a lot of people have the same issue with apple iphone so if someone can help me to fix it.

I'd like to confirm that I am suffering from the same issue with my 3 week-old iPhone 4S. I, too, need to turn flight mode on and off in order to convince my phone to switch back from a Wifi connection to 3G. So far I have tried the following:
    - Received a new SIM from O2 here in Germany
    - Restored my phone from backup
    - Restored my phone as a new device
    - Installed iOS 5.0.1
    - Received a replacement phone from Apple
None of the above have rectified the situation, nor made any difference at all. Neither the Apple support hotline nor the Genius Bar employee had any idea what could be causing the problem. The only thing I have not yet tried is a SIM from another provider. I'm wondering if this is a problem with the iOS in combination with the setup of certain providers.
For those of you who speak german, you can follow the thread on the O2 forums here, where many users are having the same issue: http://forum.o2online.de/t5/iPhone/nach-Wlan-keine-mobile-Daten/td-p/175228/high light/false

    Hi,
It depends, if it's a static IP address for your machine, it should be OK for this one IP address; if it is a dynamic IP address in a range, you can input the IP address range which contains this mentioned IP address
157.55.225.241, or update the changed address to date.

I cannot connect my I pad mini and iPhone using Bluetooth.

I'm not sure what made you think that that was not what Regal trail was asking... I am having the same problem and wish that that question had been answered! I believe I've gone through the same steps that used to work, to no avail now. But I'm betting that you (Chris) have the answer to this!
In a nutshell: I'm trying to share my iPhone's cellular connection with my WiFi-only iPad Mini, using a Bluetooth connection. I used to do this regularly, but went for a period of time without the need for it, and so am hard pressed now to identify which thing that might have changed during the interim would have made it no longer work.
iPhone is connected to internet via cellular data (AT&T LTE). Bluetooth is on. Personal Hotspot is on.
On iPad, Bluetooth is on. My iPhone shows up in the list under My Devices, and I can select it, and it will connect for approximately 5 seconds. The shared connection icon shows up on the iPad. The iPhone (on the Bluetooth screen) shows, for those 5 seconds, that the iPad is connected, but the shared connection status bar never shows up on the iPhone.
    After 5 seconds, it disconnects.
Thoughts? Need more info? Let me know! Thanks.

I cannot seem to load raw images into LR 2.5.  I've been using this for years.  I always load from memory card, but it gives me an unknown error message.  I tried to load from camera, hard drive, & external drive and still will not work.  I checked import menu and nothing has changed.  I loaded the photos onto my tablet and images are fine, so do not feel it is the memory card.  Any thoughts?

The error message probably said "unsupported or damaged"
The T3 requires Lightroom 3.4.1 or later. You can either upgrade to a more current version of Lightroom (version 5.6 is the most recent) or you can use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert the RAWs to DNG, which should import into Lightroom properly.
