Cannot Connect to Server - Please Help!

I have a MacBook w/Leopard and Parallels w/Windows XP. Everything has been working fine for over a year. After a recent trip (and using several different motel wifi connections) I cannot connect to our Windows based home server. The server is primarily used for printer sharing. I can connect and print on the Windows "side" of my Mac, but not on the Mac itself. Server connection attempts return the "Connection failed" message and print attempts return "Connection failed: NTSTATUS_BAD_NETWORKNAME", then "Unable to connect to CIFS host, will retry in 60 seconds...". I cannot understand how I can connect and print w/Windows (which is running on my Mac) but cannot connect or print with the Mac. I have restored my hard drive from Time Machine, checked the server network ID and just about everything else I can think of.
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Still unable to print/connect from the Mac and able to print/connect from Parallels/Windows. Internet functionality is normal on both.
Any ideas???

CiscoWorks ANI server cannot connect, Joe Clark please help

I noticed yesterday I was getting some Java errors when opening different modules of Cisco Works, Campus Manager, RME.
I rebooted the server and everything seemd to be working fine. I tried to set up Notification Services after the reboot and it seemed to go without incident.
This morning Common Services shows
"DCA Server is down or inaccessable"
Campus Manager shows:
"Cannot connect to ANI Server since it is down"

Is there any way this could have been related to me setting up Notification Services?
Something I noticed yesterday is that when setting up "Event Sets", nothing shows up.
Per the document (and I saw this yesterday after a reboot of the server (most likely what caused the problem), I should see a list of items to trigger notification and I can configure nine different sets.
But, I see "No Records" on the Event Sets page.
I see the A,B,C etc, but nothing under them.
After a reboot yesterday, then I saw the items and checked off for the different event sets.
My goal is to have an e-mail alert when switch or router interfaces go down , or high utilization of fragmentation.

All plugin in photoshop cs6 cannot connect to internet, please help.

at first time I use photoshop, all extension like kuler, blendmein, is working fine. but a week later those plugin can't access the internet.
I've reinstall photoshop but it's not working. please help. I really need those plugin for my work.

I give you screenshot about what happend to my photoshop, kuler plugin said so, but if i open blendmein plugin it only show white blank in the plugin.
for my internet connection I'm using adsl cable modem and wifi router. same connection that I used to use.
i'm using ASUS A46CB, core i5, 4gb ram, nvidia gforce 740m and windows 8.1 pro. I really frustrated because of this.

Since system update my emails wont connect to server- Please help

My emails have worked fince since owning this phone, but as of 5/6 days ago the emails will no longer work. s
I have looked at the settings and still says cant connect to server, so I deleted the account from the phone to then reinstall. But now it wont connect at all and I get the error message could not open conection to server. I have also tried entering manually but still have no luck. I had a system update around the same sort of time so I ma unsure if this has effected things.
I have had to open the Hotmail app from the play stor in the mean time, but would like to get the phone working as it should as this had an email time setting so I wasnt disterbed by junk mail in the evening/night.
Please can someone advise.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
First try clearing data for the email app under Settings -> Apps -> All -> Email -> Clear data and then restart the phone. When you then open the email app it will ask for your email address and password. Enter those but select manual setup, Exchange ActiveSync and then use m.hotmail.com as server address, your email address as user name and see if that works.

Client not connecting to server. please help

I have been trying to run a sample client-server program, but it doesn't seem to reconise the host name that has been declared in the client program.
i get the following error:
Client Error: java.net.UnknownHostException: Paradoxical
can anyone tell me what the host name should be to allow the client to connect to the server????

The host name to use for the client is the name of the machine that the server is running on. From your error message, the client expects the server to run on 'Paradoxical' but it can't find a machine with that name. You might try to use 'ping Paradoxical' to verify that the machine exists.
If your server is running on the same machine as the client, you can just use 'localhost' as the host name.

I understand when you scan to email you're receiving a message stating cannot connect to server. I will do my best to assist you! Please follow this entire HP document on How to Scan: From the Control Panel (Including Scan to Email, to a PDF, and to a Network Folder) just to make sure everything is correct.
If this doesn't work, then please follow these steps to try setting an alternative DNS to see if that resolves the issue:
•    Open the Embedded Web Sever on your computer.
•   Click the Network tab.
•   Under Wireless click on IPv4.
•   Under DNS Address Configuration select Manual.
•   Set the Preferred address as 8.8.8.8
•   Set the Alternate address as 8.8.4.4
•   Click Apply twice to confirm the change.
•   Turn the printer Off and back On and see if the issue is resolved.

I have the same error message. I just installed my new ATV3, all seems to work well but when I try to connect to my PC (menu - Computers - enter apple ID / password), I get the same error message. I updated the software first, so I don't know if it would have worked with the factory settings.
Frustrating, it seems there are a lot of people with the same problem; I thought Apple would be better than this.
'Funny' is that I was able to enter my Apple ID information and check my purchased movies and tv shows (it correctly said there were no purchased movies or tv shows). so it accepted my apple ID and password at that time. But when I try to do Computers - enter Apple ID / password, I get the same error message again.
I am able to see the ATV in my i-tunes (latest version) on my pc.
I am using a wireless connection.
I have restarted the ATV several times, to no effect.
I then restored the ATV, but it automatically starts with an automatic system update . Anyway, same problem.

I'm not sure what turning off your Mac has to do with this unless you are using Internet Sharing on the Mac for the iPad to connect to the Internet. In any event, have you tried, Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings?

If you're trying to connect to a Bonjour server on the remote network, that won't work over a layer 3 VPN. Use something like Hamachi or one of the SSH-tunnelling Bonjour proxy apps for that.
