Cannot connect to service provider. error (2)

What I am facing right now, it always prompt me this error message
"Cannot connect to the provider. Make sure it is running in the specified host/port. Error(2)."
it is in version 9.3.1.2. this error i got when i try to connect any application through connection manager.
kindly help me regarding this.

If you are not the admin of the system then you will need to contact them to make sure APS is running, If you are the admin and APS is installed on windows then there will be a service named something like Hyperion Provider Services, you will need to start this service.

EPM version: EPM 11.1.2.1
When we are using Zoom In Level as All Levels and tring to drill down for dimention of HFM application we are getting below error.

As we found some solution from comunity , we have performed below workaround but still we are getting same error.
·              We have done the changes in mod_wl_ohs.conf file of OHS with (WLIOTimeoutSecs 3600 and WLIOSocketTimeoutSecs 3600)
·              And then restarted OHS and APS service but still we found same error.
Could anyone please suggest ,where can we trace its log from web server and the solution for this issue?

Hi,
We have already performed the changes for APS in OHS as mentioned in the solution and the path also same as under OHS.
Intially we were getting error for "to increase netRetryCould and NetRetryInterval" as a solution we have added below 3 registry DWORD keys under path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
"KeepAliveTimeout"=dword:00180000                   (26 Minutes)
"ReceiveTimeout"=dword:00dbba00                      (240 Minutes)
"ServerInfoTimeout"=dword:00180000                  (26 Minutes)
Above error resolved but then we received Error"12031"
Now we have added above 3 DWORD keys under path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
and now we are not getting the error "12031".
But here we are not getting how it(LB issue) resolved with above solution?

I'm getting the below message when i try and access SQL Config Manager on my Windows Server 2003 R2
"Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only manage SQL Server 2005 and later servers with SQL Server Configuration Manager.
Generic failure [0x80041001]"
Also tries with the below solution but still the error persists
The solution is to go to a command prompt as administrator and then run mofcomp.

You might want to increase the timeout and check:
Smartview in Excel utilizes some Microsoft settings that it obtains From IE. When running on IE 7 or higher there are new settings that have a low default time out. You can increase these by following the instructions in the articles listed below

Make sure you have a safe backup of the windows registry before you do this .
1. Open the Registry (Start -> Run -> Regedit)
2. Locate the following section:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\
3. Create the following new keys for DWORD with Hexadecimal values:
ReceiveTimeout and set it to 00dbba00
KeepAliveTimeout and set it to 00180000
ServerInfoTimeout and set it to 00180000
4.Disconnect and close the Smartview and launch a fresh connection

Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only manage SQL Server 2005 servers with SQL Server Configuration Manager. Invalid class [0x80041010].
The solution is to go to a command prompt and then run mofcomp.

I am trying to run Sample code HelloWorld to deploy session beans but getting this error Cannot connect to service: sess_iiop://server:2481:orcl.
Even sess_sh command giving the same error,how to configure iiop on client side.

Using JDeveloper is also giving the same error UNKNOWN_SERVICE

while looking for the EJB from a java client.

we have installed oracle 8.1.6 on a win nt machine. on this server it is possible to connect the iiop-service via session_sh or to deploy ejb's via deployejb. but connecting by another machine is impossible, the error message is:
cannot connect to service: sess_iiop://192.168.30.106:2481:ophh8i
the listener configuration seems to be ok, because after connection trying in the log-file is an entry like this:
22-JUN-2000 09:54:05 * SUCCESS * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=192.168.30.107)(PORT=1170)) * establish * giop * 0
so i think its not a problem by the tcp/ip resolving. i have tried the suggestion in the faq, but it dosn't work.

I think the same tcp/ip port ur using while deploying ..Through Net8 Config configure other listener and configure it to IIOP and port number to be 2481...Check the tnsnames.ora file for the new Update u did..
It has to work now...Good luck

Apple just pulled the update because it is a major fubar! You will have to rollback your iPhone to the base iOS 8 using iTunes and Apple needs to seriously test its patches!
Update:
Simply connect your phone to iTunes and back up your data. Then, click the “Restore iPhone” button and follow the on-screen instructions. It’s a huge pain, but at least it’s better than having your shiny new iPhone turned into a big expensive iPod touch.

I have the same problem on my iMac. My facetime has been working, but now I'm getting the same error as You. I've been through the following:
The stuff that Linc Davis suggested, new profile on iMac, moved iMac into DMZ zone with no firewall rules, tested with other Apple-ID, checked hosts file, checked different timezone settings, tried to connect to 2 mobile APs (with diferent providors), changed DNS servers (ISP's DNS + Google DNS + Open DNS) - Nothing helped. Also talked to Apple Support, since i have Apple Care, but the seem to be a bit clueless also Well I've mailed them the results of my different tests, so lets see what they come up with - Unfortunately I'm sure it will be the same suggestion as all the major PC manufactures suggests, reinstall and test - RIGHT !!!!!!
If I get solution, I'll post it here.

Service Provider Error in Dispute Management

Dear Experts,
Iam working on Dispute Mangement. I have created the dispute case and system generated the case number. But when iam displaying the case from SCASE the system is not displaying the case instead it is giving Service Provider error (Msg. no. SRMF071). I tired searching SAP notes. Please guide me to resolved this.

My problem is Iam able to create the case. System is generating the case ID also. When iam trying to display the create case the system is giving an error message "Service provider called: Incorrect SP object status. Message no. SRMF071"

Cannot connect to activation server error when I tried to re-authorize my computer

I had problem copying library books to my kobo reader. It was OK back in Dec.
So I tried to erase authorization and re-authorize my computer to try as a fresh start.
I am getting a "cannot connect to activation server error". I have no problem connecting to the internet on all other sites that I am accessing.

I don't know if this will help, but I was having trouble today activating another Adobe product as well. Turns out the problem was other software on my computer - a program called "Net Nanny" that filters content and supposedly keeps malware and other stuff out. Maybe you have that or something similar, like a McAfee or Norton? Temporarily disabling the software fixed my problem. Good luck!

Getting "cannot connect to iTunes store error from one appleID but another works fine

I have 2 apple ID's, a personal one, and one that me and a couple of coworkers share so that we can share apps we purchase. I cannot log into the shared AppleID from my ipad. I can from my PC so I know it is not an incorrect password or anything like that. I get the error "cannot connect to iTunes Store". Is this because too many of us are logged into the same apple ID at once? I tried changing the password so that it would kick everyone else off, but even with a new password I get the error. I am able to login with my personal apple ID just fine, so I know it's not an issue with my wifi or my ipad software (i don't think). anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

The Systems.properties file on the server on the client and server are the same and contain the db.connect.string.
2) I am trying to connect to the Personalization Portal http://hostname/papz/login.jsp
Username: Administrator
Password: manager
The error is Invalid User and Password and Invalid Logical Device.
3) How does one start a PTG server?
WHERE AM I GOING WRONG?????????

Have you done all the installation stuff ?
1) Creation of tables in Oracle 8i
in sqlplus,

2) Valuation of these tables
in ora81/panama/sample
