Cannot connect to switch via IE

Hi all,
if got a question.
We bougth a nex Catalyst Express 500 Switch.
First I run the setup as it is recommended in the getting started guide.
I gave the switch an ip-address and finished the setup. I tested the connection to the device manager via IP-Adress. It was working perfect.
Then I turned of the switch to assemble it into the rack.
I started the switch and connected the cabeles. Then I wanted to connect to the device manager via IE but i couldnt connect. The IP-Adress is definitly correct. I connected to the switch by using this ip address 10 minutes ago.
Also when i ping the switch i get no answer.
Any suggestions what i can do?
Can i reset the switch without using the device manager?
Sry when my english is not so good. Didnt wrote english vor a long time.

Hi Benjamin,
Try to following procedure to reset the switch to factory defaults and start the configuration again.
-- RESTORED TO FACTORY DEFAULTS
- Unplug power cord from switch.
- While plugging back in the power to the switch, hold setup button.
- Wait until all LED indicator lights turn amber and release button.
- When a switch port LED blinks green, connect your PC to that port. The port LEDs on your
PC and the switch blink green while the switch configures the connection (it will take
around 1 minute).
- Pull up browser and select either ‘Erase system configuration’ item and click on Submit
button.(make sure that the PC and the web browser is supported

- At this point, the switch is set back to factory default configuration; proceed with
initial setup procedure again.
- Enter the network settings.
- Click Submit to save changes and finish basic configuration.
- Click Submit to save changes and finish basic configuration.
- Apply Smartports roles.
- Click Restart/Reset on the GUI dashboard.
- Chose the option Restart the switch with is current settings and then Submit.
Please update on the status.

  • Cannot connect to database via TNS

    Hello!
    I installed XE with default settings and have some trouble. I cannot connect to database via TNS. Two symptoms:
    1. I can connect with SQLPLUS system/pwd (locally, without tns name input), but CANNOT connect with SQLPLUS system/pwd@EX (WITH TNS NAME input).
    2. I cannot start Database Home Page.
    How to avoid this problem? Any ideas?

    I successfully connect with XE client to another Oracle databases from LAN, including 8i and 9i databases.
    But cannot connect from another machines to my XE.

    I just cannot connect to Twitter via iPhone.
    It started around 6 months ago, before it was working just fine.
    Important notes:
    I live in China, dono need to connect to it via VPN.
    Interesting thing is that in my iPad app I have no problem at all, can connect, place posts, etc.
    Just in iPhone its not possible, not even connecting to the site via Safari.
    Why's that? Anyone has any idea on how to solve this problem?

  • Changed apple-ID password - cannot connect to icloud via macbook air but it works on iphone and itunes..

    My Ipad got stolen soon after i updated in to ios7.
    the idiot i am, i did not activate find my ipad, so i changed all my passwords, including the apple-id.
    now i have the following problem:
    on my iphone, everything works as usual.
    however, i cannot connect to icloud via my macbook air, if i type in my password (and trust me i have already changed it a few times, it always works on the phone but not on the macbook) i get the following message: "Sie konnten aufgrund eines Kommunikationsproblems mit iCloud nicht angemeldet werden." which means more or less that i could not connect to icloud due to a communication problem.
    does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

  • TS1363 I have udated my OS to 6.1.3 and now I cannot connect to Apple via my Iphone 4

    I am havng a problem connecting to Itunes via my mobile phone since I updated to OS 6.1.3 It states 'Cannot connect to Itunes store and there is just an OK button which when pressed just returns me to the main screen. Any suggestions on what has gone wrong and how I can rectify it..... very simple explanations please I am not a technical person... so step by step please.....

    Problem has most likely nothing to do with update of the phone and assiciated with something blocking your connection to secure servers in Itunes.

    To add to what you see in there, I also found helpful to "reset all settings" and to switch date and time couple years in advance and then back.

  • Cannot connect to database via JApplet

    Hi,
    I created a Java application which allows me to send information to my mysql database using the jdbc connector via a JFrame. However when i modified the file to be a JApplet the info will not sent and i cannot connect to the database? Any particular reason for this?
    I need it to be a JApplet so i can add it to a browser window.

    Your error reporting is not good. You print a meanningless message or ignore the error.
    Print the stacktrace in the catch blocks.
    Change the code, rerun it and then check the Java Console for output.
    I'm guessing you'll see a security error. Unsigned applets can't access the client file system. If so, sign the applet.

    I cannot connect via SQL developer to my installed apexlistener (2.0.1) installed on Glassfish (3.1.2) webserver.

  • Lumia 820 cannot connect to PC via Bluetooth

    Hi there. I have recently bought a new Lumia 820, which is a great phone, except that I cannot connect the Lumia to my PC (win 7) via Bluetooth. I have been using phones with bluetooth for a long time, so this is not my first time. I can see my pc in the list, but when i click "connect", the phone is connected to the pc for like one second and then the connection breaks up. Transfering a single file by clicking "send" and then "bluetooth" is no problem, but the connecting directly between the pc and the phone via bluetooth instead of usb cable is no success. Can anybody help me out here please? Thank you!

    A continuous data connection is not supported. In all fairness it's kind of like trying to fill a tank using a thimble.

  • Lync 2013 on Windows Phone 8 cannot connect to Exchange via TMG

    I've found that the latest Lync 2013 client on WP8 cannot connect to our Exchange Server 2010 via TMG and the problem is related to autodiscovery. Based on detailed log analysis the symptom is the following:
    1. The client is sending a request:
    GET
    https://autodiscover.neostratus.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
    2. It gets a TMG logon form and then tries to POST here:
    POST
    https://autodiscover.neostratus.com/cookieauth.dll?getlogon?curl=z2fautodiscoverz2fautodiscover.xml&reason=0&formdir=9

    The URL is wrong and it fails of course. This is the situation with Lync credentials and manually configured Exchange credentials as well.
    Other clients (PC, iOS) can connect fine and all test tools confirm that our autodiscovery setup is correct. I can POST the above XML using basic authentication to the correct URL and get a correct response. And the same autodiscovery process works fine
    when setting up an email account on the same WP8 device.
    Is this a known WP8 Lync 2013 client bug and is there a workaround?

    Hi,
    The lync client should be able to sing in Lync Server and just lost calendar information if Lync client cannot connect to Exchange. Please double check if the device is able to connect to the EWS URL.

  • Cannot connect to Internet via newly created wireless network

    Just purchased an Aiport Express router this week. Connected it to an RCA DCM425 Time Warner Cable modem and it worked fine out of the box. Now, after running the Airport Utility to create a new password-protected network, I cannot connect to the Internet. Both my PowerBook G4 (running Mac OS X 10.4.10) and Windows PC (XP SP2) can connect to the new network but then cannot access the Internet. After being frustrated for a few hours with this I performed a hard reset and then could connect to the default apple network the AX was transmitting. But now I tried creating a new network again and again the same problem. No internet access despite Network Status indicating otherwise. Please help! I purchased this product b/c I thought it was supposed to be an easier setup.

    Sorry, but the 169.x.x.x IP address is internally generated by the iPod (and iPhone) and indicates that a network has been detected but no IP address has been issued. Your friends iPhone was not connected to your ad hoc network either - it connected to the internet through the 3G network.
    You should read through the Vista help screens on ad hoc networking for some insight how this works. You should be able to get some ideas there.
    In the mean time, $40 or less will buy you a very capable wireless router with four Ethernet ports and will simplify your network tremendously. Having used Windows ICS for a long time, the addition of a router and a real network simplified things so much.

    I connect with my camera WVC54GCA in my local network,but when i try from somewhere else nothing happens.I use the domain name i took from TZO but i cannot access the camera.I have also forwarded the ports 80 and 1024 from the router.Any idea please???

  • New Q10 cannot connect to Link via USB

    Hi everyone, I've run into a problem with my new Blackberry Q10 (text messages getting stuck in the notification window) and, seeing as I've had it less than a month, my retailer has ordered me another Q10 and is going to send the old one back.
    Now, my understanding is that if I backup my phone to my computer it will save all of the changes I've made regarding ring tones, notifications and other settings so when I get the new one I can just plug it in, say go and have the new phone essentially set up exactly the same as the old one.
    Problem is that Blackberry Link has been unable to connect to my phone via usb. I am using Windows 7, have tried a few different usb ports (one of which I use to configure/update my ipad and ipod) but nothing has helped. There is no error message, the status indicator on the phone just stays on "not connected". The computer makes the "device connected" sound whenever I plug the phone in and the phone is able to charge and recognize that it is connected to a computer but for some reason Link still does not recognize it. It is, however, able to connect through wifi...
    Any ideas?

    Win 7, great OS, Phone same version as me and mine is 100% working, Link recent, should all be good. You might have to Security Wipe to resolve this but lets try to find the issue as BB Link is not working so you cannot Reload the OS and SW will delete all data on the phone. Alittle different steps then the other ones: Uninstall BB Link, using Windows Search (Advanced and searching Everywhere) find and delete all    blackberry   files found. Go to Device Manager, find all the Blackberry and Rim drivers and uninstall them, do this with your phone disconnected, so to see all of them in Device Manaer click View on the Menu then click Show hidden devices then expand the + sign. I do not have Win 7 but the drivers are usually found in these 6 places: 1 Blackberry2 Disk drives3 DVD/CD4 Modems (Standard Modem only)5 Network Adapters6 Ports Power OFF your computer (not a restart)  Power ON and wait 5 min. plugin your phone and wait another 5 minutes before Installing BB Link Before you do all this please tell me your Anti-Virus program (full name and version #) and if you use a 3rd party Firewall I will check to see if they are compatible with your system or you can check here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/Home Enter just the  anti-virus name in the Search, find your version and click it, next page change the drop down menu to Win7

    Well, at first I was going to suggest redoing the entire AutoLoader process, but this time not doing any restore...sometimes, a backup file contains the very corruption one needs to eliminate, and restoring from it simply reintroduces that corruption.

    There could be other KBs...you can search that database for more.
    Otherwise, I guess that I would indeed recommend what I started this particular post with...reload and do not restore.
