Cannot connect to the iTunes store from iPhone

I'm connected to WI-FI. When I touch the iTunes election button, a the above subject message appears. I used the same phone as my previous T-mobile number. I am able to make a call now from my iPhone. It has been less than 24 hours. Cannot locate any doc to help me to get a solution.

Hey coolgem,
Can you browse web pages using Safari?
What is the iPhones IP address? Goto Settings>Wi-Fi>Click the blue(>) next to your network.

  • Cannot connect to the iTunes Store from my home network since I upgraded to ios 6

I own an iPad 2 and recently upgraded to ios 6. Since then, I cannot connect to the iTunes store from my home network.  I can navigate any other site and access any other application.  I can even reach the iTunes store through My Personal Hotspot and through my office network.
Has anyone experienced something similar?  My network carrier is Telmex and I know for sure, they block port 25.  Any guess on whether there could be a setting impeding connection?
    Help!!!

    Hi Nickey,
If you are having difficulty connecting to the iTunes store from your PC there are a number of things you can try to get connected again. Details are available in this article -

I see you have already checked to make sure your system and other software is up to date, but there are plenty of ways to continue from there.

  • Cannot connect to the iTune Store from within iTunes.

Can not connect to the iTunes Store from within the iTunes program on my PC. Using iTunes 10.4 on a XP Sp3 system. Everything worked fine until a few days ago. Now the iTunes Store (Store) will not open. Tried rollback, disabling firewall, anti-virus etc. Not working. iTUnes Diagnostic says I can connect to the net but the screen remains blank, except "No connection to firmware update server" is listed in the Diagnostic.

Yes, I am running AVG Anti-Virus Free and was using Comodo Firewall. Uninstalled everything, iTunes Store still would not appear. Now using AVG and Windows Firewall, still can not get Store to come up. Diagnostic follows:

  • I cannot connect to the itunes store from my PC

For some reason, starting about 2 months ago, I can no longer connect to the iTunes store from my PC.  Does anyone have any idea why this would occur?
Obviously all my internet connections are fine and it is not a firewall or filter issue.

Could you walk us through what happens (when you try to connect to the Store) in some more detail, please?

Helllo.I have a problems on my IPad .When I wanted to download the videos or even just open the ITunes its says cannot connect to the iTunes store. And I know for sure that my iPad is connected to the Internet .What can I do?

  • Cannot Connect to the iTunes Store on iPhone

I can't get itunes to open on my iphone. It says that I need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, but I am! How can I get around this message?

When you are connected to a wifi network that will not allow you to connect to the itunes store, here are a couple of things that might help out.
Go to settings > wifi and make sure there is a network that has a check mark next to it.
On the right side of the screen, tap on the blue arrow of the network you are connected to.
    Is there an ip address?
If so, make sure it does not start with 169.254.
If so, or if not, tap on forget this network at the top of the screen.
Then try to join the network again.
Also, you can go to settings > general > reset > reset network settings.
Once the iphone restarts, try joining the wireless network again.
    Hope this helps.

The iTunes store just came up blank yesterday. iTunes works but not the Store. I saw a similar problem affecting Windows, but I'm running SnowLeopard.

  • "cannot connect to the Itunes store" through Iphone

Ok, I can't get into Itunes on my 1st gen Iphone. It shows that I have no wifi network connected but I don't even know what wifi is. I'm giving this phone to my roommate and she wants to DL ringers.
Any idea what I should do? If you tell me like the Apple CSR that I just spoke with, to go to mccdonalds and use their wifi, I'm gonna scream.

wifi basically means broadband without wires...you can not get into iTunes on the iPhone unless you are in an area that has wifi signal, like mcdonalds....itunes on the phone uses this because it would take forever to download songs over Edge(which is used when not picking up a wifi signal)...if not in a wifi area you can only download songs from itunes on your computer and then sync it to the phone...
iTunes on the computer is the only place you can get/make ringtones for the iPhone as well, even if you were picking up a wifi signal with the iphone

  • Iphone 4 Cannot Connect To The Itunes Store

Ok, I've tried each and every solution from changing the brightrness to fully restoring my iphone to dancing around it with some incense burning while chanting ancient Tibetian mantras and still each and every time I try to update my apps or download a new app from my phone I get the "Cannot connect to the Itunes Store" error message.  This has all been since the last ios update and it's frustrating as ****.  The itunes store works fine on my ipod touch, my sons ipod touch but not my phone.  Please fix this or at least give us a clue how to do it.
    A frustrated iphone lover.
    Paul

You didn't answer my first question.
Are you trying to update using your iPhone or computer's iTunes?
    Do this steps
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings again
By the way, we are all users here like you trying to help and we are not from Apple.

  • I get a message that my ipad and iphone cannot connect to the iTunes store. I have tried to sync books to my iPad and iphone and i get the message that I cannot connect to the iTunes store and thus cannot sync a book to my books app. Why?

I get a message that my ipad 2 and iphone 5 cannot connect to the itunes store when I try to sync a book to my book app. Although, when I click "store" both are able to access the itunes store. Why is this? Also I tried to open a book that was synced and a message that I did not have enough memory to load this book popped up--when I know that I have well over 40gb of memory left in my ipad and over 16gb left in my iphone. The message that I cannot connect to the itunes store is strange that it offers no option and I have to hit OK to get out and use my ipad or iphone.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and changing the date to a few months (or maybe a year or two) in the future and then re-trying

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store" when using WiFi and Cisco VPN

    hi
I'm on iPhone software 2.0 and have a connection to the internet via WiFi and VPN (using the integrated Cisco client). Everything works fine (Safari, Mail, mobileme push of contacts and calendars) but the iTunes Store and the App Store won't. While the App Store keeps spinning the iTunes Store says "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store". Has anyone else experienced a similar phenomenon?
    thanks
    Message was edited by: samaki

We're having the same issue. App Store and iTunes do not work when all traffic is tunneled over VPN. Yet, other applications like Safari, New York Times reader, Telnet, etc... work perfectly fine over VPN. If we have the iPhone switch over to using split tunneling VPN mode, then the App Store and iTunes work since they do not appear to be sending traffic over the VPN tunnel. I can say for certain that no outgoing traffic is being blocked on the VPN servers since I administer those servers. I also did a packet capture on the iPhone wireless session and it appears that the App Store sends traffic over the regular HTTP port. So it really doesn't make any sense from a VPN perspective why Safari would work but not the App Store or iTunes when you're tunneling all traffic over VPN. Our iPhones are using the latest firmware (5F136). If anyone has any update, please do share.
