Cannot connect to Wifi after downloading windows 10

I just downloaded Window 10 and now I cannot connect to my wifi. Can anyone help understand why. I need it asap. Thanks

Twice I have upgraded to Windows 10 in the last two days but each time after I cannot connect to my home wifi or indeed any wifi.I have tried updating drivers, changing router channel before giving up and rolling back to Windows &.Obviously I would like to upgrade but it's proving very difficult with my limited tech knowledge on the inner workings of the laptop though I am very good at following step by step instructions. The problem is that once I have upgraded I cannot do anything because I have no internet to search for possible solutions. Is there anyone who can help me sort this out and anything I need to do before upgrading again. The wifi will connect to my home router but it shows as LIMITED and there is no internet access.I would be grateful for any help.Thank you. Just to add, I am on Virgin broadband with a download of 95Mb. Connected by Ethernet or by wifi give the same limited error.

    Hi Schynaa
I had the same problem as you describe and the following solved my issue:
    1. On the Iphone choose "Settings"
    2. Choose "iTunes and App Stores"
    3. Click on the Apple ID ( icon )
    4. Choose sign out.
    5. Then sign in again.
After that you should be able to download apps again.
    Best regards

  • [SOLVED] Network Manager cannot connect to wifi after suspend

    Hi,
There appears to be similar threads recently, but they relate to no wifi at all. I did some updates today, and now if I suspend or hibernate, network manager cannot reconnect to my wifi. It will (after a while) ask me to authenticate, but still fails. Nothing works except a reboot where it connects without issue.
It was fine yesterday, has only started today. Here is my pacman log for today's updates:

For those using the arch repo kernel the next release will solve this issue. So I suggest waiting for this (no more than a few days) and use the LTS kernel in the meantime (or using a fixed ath9k module if already built).
Thanks for that heiko. I thought that would be the case, hence I just waited.
    Will mark this as solved.

  • IPhone 5S won't connect to wifi after downloading iOS 7.0.1

I bought the iPhone 5S this morning and restored from the previous backup of iOS 7. Everything went fine after it almost immediately asks you to log into a wifi network, I typed in the password. As one would naturally expect, I had no issues. Then I downloaded and install the new 7.0.1 iOS. Went through the setup and when the prompt to log into the same network popped up, I typed in the same password but this time I get an "Incorrect Password" for my network. I'm literally copy/pasting it and typing it in slowly but no success.
VERY annoying considering I JUST bought this product...

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 update.  Same issue.  I had no issues previously with iOS 6.  So far I've only NOT been able to connect to my home router.....until about 10 minutes ago.   I selected my SSID and chose the option to FORGET the network, restarted my router by unplugging the power supply, let sit for 30 seconds, then re powered it.  Went into my iPhone settings, turned wifi OFF, then turned Bluetooth OFF.  Turned wifi back ON and kept Bluetooth OFF (though there should be no direct correlation) and the router SSID appeared, so I tried my KEY again (WPA2 encryption) and it finally connected.  I would also recommend turning all wifi sync services off just in case, they aren't doing any good without wifi anyway. I really hope this helps. I'm going to update my iPad mini today and see if the same issue comes up and apply the same steps mentioned.  Good luck, even if this doesn't help, I'm sure someone (if not Apple) will help resolve the issue.

  • Cannot connect with IPad2 After downloading newest OS update 10.7.5

I keep getting this message "John Does iPad" cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.6.3 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. It started after update OS software to latest version.

Yes, when I look in my applications and view the version there it shows 10.7. However when I open Itunes and view itn the "about itunes" tab, a window scrolls showing that I have 10.5. Ive downloaded the newest version at least three times. Is there someting Im missing or not doing. Once downloaded it says it was done sucessfully.

  • Iphone cannot connect to web after downloading ios 8.1.3

My iPhone was working until I download ios 8.1.2.  Then the web button is "grayed" out.  Local Sprint store could not figure it out.  Ive tried turning the phone off and then back on to no avail.  Also rebooted router, still no luck.  Any other users have this problem and a fix?

    dear bam ,
sad to see  others who also encountering the same problem...
sorry to say that this could be due to 8.1.3 software problem since rainy had already been apple service centre for help when rainy was at wits end:'(
yet rainy was told that this cannot be fixed which wifi function is burned as it may due to older model phone which is not compatible with the latest software(8.1.3) that causes this to happen...
what a disappointment APPLE has given to rainy since this is a software issue...think rainy is not the only one who has encountered this, it should not prompt consumer to upgrade the software since this is the case...
Despite from wifi faulty, rainy's battery life is shortened ...battery will be drained out overnight while it is fully charged without  using at all:'( in addition it has started lagging & screen brinking)
a sofware upgrading which could say totally destroyed the device:'(
last but not least,do share with rainy in any case that bam could get it fixed...thanks..take care...

  • Cannot connect to internet after downloading itunes 7

I downloaded itunes 7, sort all my music on to itunes ready to sync my ipod, try to connect to internet but can't, I had to uninstall itunes to get here to ask why this happens. This has happened twice. (Winamp is alot more flexible with the music)

When you say you can't connect to the internet, do you mean iTunes can't connect but otherwise the internet is OK?
If so the most likely thing is is a problem with your firewall. To test this briefly disable it and see if iTunes can connect. If it can, you need to reconfigure your firewall to allow the new version of iTunes to access the internet.
If you don't know how to do this, which firewall are you using?

  • Cannot connect to wifi after updating to ios 8.0.2

    Hi there gypsy101,
You may find the Wi-Fi troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    Tap  and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Verify that you're attempting to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
    5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)
