Cannot create another shared photo stream - 50 shared photo stream limit?

Hi - I'm getting this error message when trying to create a new photo stream in Aperture:
I've deleted a few photo streams and I'm still getting the error.
Also, when I look at the Photo Stream Limits Apple posted I don't see any mention of this limitation.  What am I missing?

I can confirm the problem: The same message, as soon as I try to add stream no. 51.
But for me it works to delete one of the streams. I could replace it by a new stream without problems.
I tried this with MacOS X 10.8.4 and 10.8.5, Aperture 3.4.5.
The limit seems to be 50 streams.
I've deleted a few photo streams and I'm still getting the error.
Have you waited for the deletion to be synced with iCloud? Or you may have hit another limit. For me the replacing of Photo streams is working well, but the limit of 50 streams is disappointing.

  • Cannot create another application in hfm workspace

    Hi
    I've successfully installed and configured epm products including hfm 11.1.1.3
    I've successfully created an application but when I create another application the following warnings appear individually:
    *''Shared Services is not initialized. Please retry the operation. If problem persists, please check the database configuration. Delete Apps from Project Failed : error.resourceNotFound.*
    *''%0''*
    *''Error occurred while creating the application.''*
    My environment: Win server 2003 on VM, EPM 11.1.1.3, and oracle 10g database.

    Yes, but it also says in the apple documentation that:
    A sandboxed app is allowed to launch a helper using Launch Services if at least one of these conditions has been met
    Even if I did not pass the condition:
    Both the app and helper pass the Gatekeeper assessment. By default that means both are signed by the Mac App Store or with a Developer ID.
    I am pretty sure that the following condition has been met:
    The app is installed in /Applications and the app bundle and all contents are owned by root.

    1. the user and group id and property is the same as the primary (server1)
    2. the ssh trust relationship has built , i can ssh  server1 from server2 or server2 from server1 with db2sid, sidadm users
    3. i mount the /db2/db2sid , /db2/SID/db2dumps, /sapmnt/SID/exe on server2 as NFS
    4. install the db2 software on /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1   (the location is the same as the primary's)
    HI , DB2 experts. Could you give me some suggestion?   thanks!

    Hi,Thomas,
    Thanks for your help.  the db2 database  desn't use the autostoarge method and the relevant permission is the same as server1.  i checked the db2dialog.log.  the following is the detail information
    "Storage path does not exist or is inaccessible" is the error message . i was wondering which storage path does not exit or inaccessible .
    at the same time i have login on all /db2 with db2sid and run touch to test the permision . it sounds good. I don't know what happens , could you give me some suggestion ? thanks!

  • Help.  Cannot create another user account

    I am trying to add another user account but systems preferences will hang whenever I choose Accounts. It works fine otherwise (any other selections can be made with no problems). When I press accounts it will say loading accounts but never go anywhere from there....

    then something is wrong with the accounts pref pane itself.
    it's located in /system /library/preferencePanes.
    try reinstalling it from the SL install dvd using Pacifist http://www.charlessoft.com/
    then reinstall 10.6.2 combo update. see if it works after that.

  • Cannot create Apple ID

    The address I want to use was once the 'rescue' address for another ID... I have erased it and unlinked it... but now, I cannot create another ID with it so I can use it for FaceTime.
    My family and friends do not know the old one! It is no longer used for correspondence.
    How can I change it without messing up my Calendar, which is the only thing I care about?
    This should be a simple fix, but when I called Apple Care last night they did not know the answer!!!!

    MacLady,
    My understanding is that once an e mail adr is associated with another Apple ID, even as a rescue e mail adr, you can't use it again, with another Apple ID.  It doesn't make full sense to me, but you'd think there would be some kind of solid logic behind it.

  • Can't create another Sculpture instance

    If I already have an instance of Sculpture I cannot create another. The same problem occurs with some other instruments as well, but not all. The strange thing is that if I quit Logic and then restart I can create another instance. Any ideas?
    Using Logic Pro 7.2.2 on Mac Pro.

    I select an instrument as normal and nothing happens. No instrument and no error. Some instruments work and I can have further instances of them but not others. An example: I have a track with a sculpture instrument. I then select another track and try to create another sculpture instrument and nothing. When I choose a highlight patch that is made with sculpture, 'sculpture' appears on the instrument button but it has a line through it as if it doesn't exist. It seems that there is something going on that only allows one instance of some instruments. I will create a song from scratch and see if there is a problem but I don't want to lose what I have done so far in the current song. Can I move what I have done to a new song?

  • How do I create a shared photo stream?

    I see discussions regarding shared photo streams - all pertaining to issues with existing shared photo streams.  I don't see anything that provides instructions on how to create a shared photo stream.  How is this accomplished?  And how do I allow someone access to my shared photo stream?

  • How do you create a shared photo stream on the ipad

    I've updated my iPad (3rd gen) to iOS 6 but I can't figure out how to create a shared photo stream.
    I've followed the instructions on apples website but it's as if the feature is missing.
    Anyone else tried using the feature?

    Went crazy since I had no "new iCloud agreement" request. Anyway I updated my account infos and finally found in Settings  > iCloud > Photo Streaming the button to enable Shared Photo Steams button

  • Subscriber cannot see my shared photo stream! Why?

    I have just created a shared photo stream and added a subscriber. They were notified by email, but when they clicked on the link, it told them that "This photo stream is no longer shared". It is still shared and I can access it!

    Hey StuDobson!
    Here is an article for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Photo Sharing and Shared Photo Streams
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4379
    These steps will probably be the most relevant troubleshooting for the issue you are experiencing:
    I've sent email invitations to my shared stream, but not everyone received one.
    Try these troubleshooting steps:
    Ask the person you're inviting to check any junk or spam email folders for the invitation.
    Try resending the invitation. If a recipient still doesn't get the invitation, send it to a second or alternate email address for that person. The recipient's mailbox may be full, or either the person or the email service provider may have a filter that is preventing the email from being delivered. If you are using iOS 7, you can also send the invitation to the phone number that the recipient uses for iMessages.
    If the person has received an invitation at least once in the past, that person may have opted to unsubscribe from future iCloud Photo Sharing emails. See the section on opting out of emails, below, for more details.
    If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact Apple Support for further assistance.
    Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
    Cheers,
    Braden

    Hello JimS19,
    I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPad. If you are having issues accessing your Shared Albums from your iPad (but not from your other devices), you may want to double-check your iCloud Photo Sharing configuration as outlined in the following articles, just to make sure it hasn't changed:

    Can a photo book created in i photo be saved as a pdf or shared online in any way with a customer before printing?

    Sure - once you make a PDF you can e-mail or share it as you want - although they can be large so you need a share capability for large file

    I have created an iMovie but cannot share it. I have looked at the help menu and have tried to follow these instructions but cannot get the sharing button to open anything.

    Do you have MacKeeper installed? If so, you need to uninstall it. There is a known issue where MacKeeper disables all the sharing functions from the new iMovie.
    Uninstall MacKeeper, then re-install iMovie.
    Keep MacKeeper uninstalled.

    There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage.   There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
    I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

  • Cannot create data store shared-memory segment error

    Hi,
    Here is some background information:

    Though we have around 140GB memory available and 65GB on the shmmax, we are unable to increase the PermSize to any thing more than 14GB. When I changed it to PermSize=15359, I am getting following error.

    The command failed.
    Done.
    I am not sure why this is not working, considering we have got 144GB RAM and 64GB shmmax allocated! Any help is much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Raj

    Those parameters look ok for a 100GB shared memory segment. Also check the following:
    ulimit - a mechanism to restrict the amount of system resources a process can consume. Your instance administrator user, the user who installed Oracle TimesTen needs to be allocated enough lockable memory resource to load and lock your Oracle TimesTen shared memory segment.
    This is configured with the memlock entry in the OS file /etc/security/limits.conf for the instance administrator.
    To view the current setting run the OS command
    $ ulimit -l
    and to set it to a value dynamically use
    $ ulimit -l <value>.
    Once changed you need to restart the TimesTen master daemon for the change to be picked up.
    $ ttDaemonAdmin -restart
    Beware sometimes ulimit is set in the instance administrators "~/.bashrc" or "~/.bash_profile" file which can override what's set in /etc/security/limits.conf
    If this is ok then it might be related to Hugepages. If TT is configured to use Hugepages then you need enough Hugepages to accommodate the 100GB shared memory segment. TT is configured for Hugepages if the following entry is in the /u01/app/oracle/EXALYTICS_MWHOME/TimesTen/tt1122/info/ttendaemon.options file:
    -linuxLargePageAlignment 2
    So if configured for Hugepages please see this example of how to set an appropriate Hugepages setting:
    Total the amount of memory required to accommodate your TimesTen database from /u01/app/oracle/EXALYTICS_MWHOME/TimesTen/tt1122/info/sys.odbc.ini
    PermSize+TempSize+LogBufMB+64MB Overhead
    For example consider a TimesTen database of size:
    PermSize=250000 (unit is MB)
    TempSize=100000
    LogBufMB=1024
    Total Memory = 250000+100000+1024+64 = 351088MB
    The Hugepages pagesize on the Exalytics machine is 2048KB or 2MB. Therefore divide the total amount of memory required above in MB by the pagesize of 2MB. This is now the number of Hugepages you need to configure.
    351088/2 = 175544
    As user root edit the /etc/sysctl.conf file
    Add/modify vm.nr_hugepages= to be the number of Hugepages calculated.
    vm.nr_hugepages=175544
    Add/modify vm.hugetlb_shm_group = 600
    This parameter is the group id of the TimesTen instance administrator. In the Exalytics system this is oracle. Determine the group id while logged in as oracle with the following command. In this example it’s 600.
    $ id
    $ uid=700(oracle) gid=600(oinstall) groups=600(oinstall),601(dba),700(oracle)
    As user root edit the /etc/security/limits.conf file
    Add/modify the oracle memlock entries so that the fourth field equals the total amount of memory for your TimesTen database. The unit for this value is KB. For example this would be 351088*1024=359514112KB
    oracle hard memlock 359514112
    oracle soft memlock 359514112
    THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT in order for the above changes to take effect you to either shutdown the BI software environment including TimesTen and reboot or issue the following OS command to make the changes permanent.
    $ sysctl -p
    Please note that dynamic setting (including using 'sysctl -p') of vm.nr_hugepages while the system is up may not give you the full number of Hugepages that you have specified. The only guaranteed way to get the full complement of Hugepages is to reboot.
    Check Hugepages has been setup correctly, look for Hugepages_Total
    $ cat /proc/meminfo | grep Huge
    Based on the example values above you would see the following:
    HugePages_Total: 175544
    HugePages_Free: 175544
