Cannot create extended range vlan

You need to enable VTP V3 on all the switches. If one of your switch is VTPV1 capable only, it will not able to inter-operate with VTP V3.

How to create extended range network using three apple airport extremes?

Hello! The idea is, I want to use Apple routers to create a large range network for a hotel that has 300 FT Hallway. I have tried everything in the airport utility but nothing works. The idea is, in the whole 300 FT hallway, i want to put three apple airport extreams. one in the middle of the hallway which will be connected to the modem, one on the each end of the hallway that will be connected to the middle airport extreme via eithernet or extend network range option from airport utility.

These what I have tried so far. Airport extreme is refered here as "airport"
1. Connect Airport 1 to modem, then on Airport 2 use extend network feature to extend the range of airport 1 network. This did not work. Airport 2 keeps on blinking yellow.
2. Did same thing as step 1 but also tried it using ethernet cable going from Airport 1 in to Airport 2's ethernet inbound port.
3. Connected modem to switch, from swith one ethernet cable goes in to Airport 1 and one cable from SWITCH goes in to the airport 2's ethernet port.
Only thing that works is, if I connect ONLY ONE airport to the modem or the switch. I am not able to use two airport extremes together.
Please advise what I can do using these or other apple products to have extended wifi coverage in the entire hallway.
I, however do need to use three extremes as one is not enough to cover the area.

Exactly what model extreme are you using??
What device is being used as setup with airport utility?
1. Connect Airport 1 to modem, then on Airport 2 use extend network feature to extend the range of airport 1 network. This did not work. Airport 2 keeps on blinking yellow.
Amber blinking just means something needs adjusting.. it should still show up in the utility and you can find out what the extreme is complaining about. If not start over.. it is absolutely crucial you factory reset and start over.. the extreme must present as a new wireless device in wifi and then you can setup to extend the existing wireless.

This is a much better arrangement.. The Extreme plugged into the Modem.. what mode is it in? It must create a wireless network.. make sure the network name is short.. no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
The extreme plugged into to give better range.. must be in bridge mode.
It must create a wireless network of the exact same name.. exact same security settings and same password.

This is the same configuration as 2. There is no difference where you put the switch.

Setup according to the apple instructions for roaming network.. it will work.
If it fails give us more info.. what model AE. etc.
Also give us the IP address and screenshot of each units setup for wireless.

Unable to create extended vlan

Dear All,
Is there anyway to create extended vlan(from 1006 to 1010) on my cisco 7604? These are existing customer vlan which I planned to move to this 7604 but unfortunately cant. I believe only FDDI and Token ring vlan unable to remove. Expert please advice.

As Cisco Freak said, those vlans are being allocated for internal use
Layer 3 LAN ports, WAN interfaces and subinterfaces, and some software features use internal VLANs in the extended range. You cannot use an extended range VLAN that has been allocated for internal use.
In order to use them, you will need to use a descending vlan allocation option, to start allocation from vlan 4094 and down, to do this you will need to apply the command:
vlan internal allocation policy descending
And then reboot your switch, so the internal vlans get reallocated

How can I use an Airport Extreme to act as a Range Extender for an Alcatel One Touch Y800Z WiFi modem/router? As we live in a rural area and our landline broadband speeds are awful, I have moved on to a 3G provider in the UK (EE/Orange) and set up the wireless modem which is working very well with an iMac. I have an Airport Extreme base station which was previously connected with an Ethernet cable to the landline router, and two Airport Express stations as Range Extenders. I would now like to use the Airport Extreme and the two Express stations to extend the range of the Alcatel WiFi device. I have tried automatic and manual set up with the Airport Utility but at the crucial step for selecting a network to extend, although the WiFi device is recognised, I get a message saying it cannot be extended.

This is a problem with a lot of cheap end wifi hotspot like devices.. sometimes you can just swap the sim out to a real 3G wireless router.. that is a better approach IMHO than wireless repeater ever will be.
In the meantime..
Have a go with the suggestion.. place the express as wireless bridge. With a computer connected to the wifi from alcatel unit.. (I am amazed Alcatel still are in domestic market.. I thought they sold out). Set the express to join the wifi.. you do this in the airport utility.. old one is easy.. but in v6 you have to trust to luck so to speak and hope the auto setup works.. tell us if you have trouble.
With the Express bridging.. you can then plug it by ethernet into the TC.. which will be in router bridge..

You can then run the connection from wireless or ethernet on the TC.. and it will relay back to the alcatel for internet.. all a bit dodgy but who knows.. it may give you what you need.
Wireless repeater is never particularly reliable in my experience. I would avoid it if possible.

Cannot create or replace : The specified extended attribute name was invalid.

New problem arrived today. Trying to copy a file from 10.6 server with an XP (SP3) client. I get this error:
Cannot create or replace (file name here): The specified extended attribute name was invalid.
The contents of the file can be copied, but not the folder. Other files can be copied. There are no funny characters. The name is not too long. I propogated the permissions on the share and that had no affect. The problem exists on three different XP systems. Can't find extended properties that could be causeing a problem. Any ideas?

Hi,
OK60 indeed is used for creating number ranges for FI/CO earmarked funds transactions. You should press on 'Pencil' button and create an interval. If for some reasons, you cannot do this via this transaction, try using SNRO transaction, with IRW_BELEG parameter. If this also fails, then apply to BASIS team to check your authorizations.

CSI: update_item_instance issues while creating extended attributes

For our customer's data conversion, installed base instances have already been created, there is only need to create extended attributes.
Issues I have encountered are:
- Whenever an error is encountered in the API call, all following records are rejected with the same error (even the same instance ID/primary key/attribute ID) as the first error record.
- Extended attributes are randomly entered in the wrong fields (as if one field had gone missing and the others had been updated)
- Date formats have been changed from DD/MM/YYYY to DD-MON-YYYY when consulting from Installed Base (but this happened only once)
Other information: There are 14 extended attributes to be added for each item instance, I removed some of the attributes to make the code more readable.
I followed the metalink note that shows the implementation method for this API and only added the recursive elements that we needed for the 14 attributes + functions to retrieve item_id and such.

The issue seems to because this:
x_instance_rec.inventory_item_id := ib_rec3.inventory_item_id;
You are selecting the item id from your staging table. But the serial number in the csi_item_instances is associated with the instance is a different item id than ib_rec3.inventory_item_id. Hence this error. You cannot change the item in the IB once the instance is created.
You have two choices: comment this out or change the inventory_item_id in staging table to match with the csi_item_instances.
Also a lot depends on what is your serial number uniqueness. If you are using the same serial number for two different items (uniqueness with item_Id) you need to be careful which one you are picking (based on serial number).

Problem can be if you have used include structure of any another table and that table have size category such that it can store only that much values which you have set for creating that SAP table .

Can create view, but cannot create table / materialized view: Xpath is null

Hi all,
We recently moved some XML documents into the database in an XMLType column and want to query the data. I've been writing some queries and turning them into materialized views. I got to one query, and something really strange is happening. My query returns the expected results, but I am getting an error when I try to create a materialized view out of it. Even stranger, I can create a view out of it, and I can manually insert its data into an existing table, but I cannot create a materialized view out of it and I cannot create a table out of it. Here is a brief summary, please let me know if anyone has suggestions.
Issuing the following commands fails in SQLDeveloper

I have changed the names around, and cut the query down so maybe it will be a little easier to understand. I did confirm that this query is also having the same symptoms described above. Since I changed the names, executing the query returns no results. However creating a materialized view out of the query still fails with the 'Xpath is null' error.

As far as creating a structured index, I was under the impression that I would need to then register an XSD. No, you can use it without an XML schema.
How about a regular relational view, with an underlying xml index?
That way you also eliminate the need for an explicit refresh step as you would then be querying real-time data, as if it were relational data.

I have a document class for a SWF. This SWF compiles and runs fine. When I load it inside another SWF, I get this:
ReferenceError: Error #1056: Cannot create property __id0_ on ModuleSwf.

ModuleSwf is the document class of the loaded SWF. What is causing this?

Cannot create windows driver project

Hello,
I'm using Visual Studio 2013 Professional and I'm still in the trial period.
I'm attempting to create a windows driver project, however it's not available in my new project (File -> New -> Project) menu: http://imgur.com/Bk4afkI
I also have installed WDK 8.0 and the 8.1 update.
I can see the "Driver" drop-down menu: http://imgur.com/ovYBuHj
Any help is appreciated.

ERROR: The network you selected cannot be extended

I just bought a new Airport Extreme duel-mode router, and I want to use it to extend my network. I go to the wireless settings, and choose to "Extend A Network" then I choose the network that I want to extend. The problem is that when I selected the network I get an error "The Network You Chose Cannot Be Extended." There are some other networks (open and closed) around me, so I tried to extend one of those and I got the same error every time. The part that is really odd to me is that I already have a airport express extending that same network without any problem. Any Ideas?

So there is no way of using the new Airport Extreme on a wireless network unless that network was created by another Airport Extreme? My goal here is just to use the Airport Extreme with my external HD to backup my laptops using Time Machine. For this to be effective the Airport Extreme needs to be on the same network through which I get internet... or else it is pointless (I would have to switch to an internet-less network to do the backups) Is there any way I can do this?

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.

Yet another ALERT: Cannot create class in system package

I've searched on the forums and seen several postings and none that really explained a solution, just the initial poster replying they fixed the problem. I am new to J2ME and java in general, I'm going off a book and my first test worked fine but this one gives me the the ALERT: Cannot create class in system package, when I select the GO command. The error occurs in the commandAction method where command == go trying to create an alert message. I am using MIDP 2.0 and as I stated new to this whole thing so a detail response would be greatly appreciated and what I need to do to resolve this for now and the future.

Ok so my problem isn't with the code it's with the build order. I guess I needed to state that I was following a book and trying to compile and preverify through command line and not using the toolkit or an IDE. So if I use NetBeans 5.0 or the Wireless Toolkit 2.5 I can compile fine.
So my new question is, can someone show me the steps to build through command line? This is MIDP 2.0.

I cannot create a folder on USB flash driver that was format in Windows

I have a USB flash drive that was format and use for my Windows PC.
When I used the USB flash drive on my Macbook, I can read the file but cannot create folder.
Is that the IOS restriction?

Click on the drive, choose Get Info from the File menu, and check the format.
If it's formatted as NTFS, reformat it as MS-DOS, exFAT, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as desired.
If it's formatted as FAT32 or exFAT, use the Disk Utility's Repair Disk command on it.
