Cannot create new mailing list
I have a large addressbook in TB with many mailing lists created in the past. I am trying to create a new one. When I go "File, New", the mailing list option is blanked out.
In Address Book
If I select a 'Mailing List' (not an address book)
File > New > Mailing list is greyed out because you cannot create a mailing list from a mailing list.
If you select an address book, then 'Mailing List' should be available.

Dear Liam, it's just I am new to BC. I first had problems to create mailing list importing .csv files, then turned to txt file.
Had no problems with 50 address txt file, meaning BC showed me that list with those 50 custumers included.
But when the list is about 600 addresses, BC does not show the list I have created as a new mailing list with its name.
I dont know why. The CRM add those 600 new addresses, but there is no mailing list connected to those 600.
So I have a great CRM now, but cannot choose those among them I want to send email campaigns to. For instance:
all company working in the same town (which was the title of the email list I should have created, that indeed BC dont show me).
Am I doing something wrong with saving correctly the .csv or txt file? I started from the basic Excell templates given by BC.
Is there a fast way to erase my CRM, in order to rebuild it with mailing list criteria?

Cannot create a mailing list in my addressbook
I created a new address book. I then create a (mailing) list and try to add contacts to it. It acts as if it worked, but nothing shows in the list.
Thunderbird 32.2 (same on 24.x)
Windows 7 Home Premium fully updatedThe inability to change an address book (and your Mailing Lists is contained within an address book) often points to corruption of the address book data file.
One way to fix a data file is to export the data to a file ('''Tools|Export''', use the ''LDIF ''option, then delete the offending address book and re-create it by importing from the LDIF file.
In the case of ''Personal Address Book'' and ''Collected Addresses'', you won't be permitted to delete these within Thunderbird. However, if you close Thunderbird and open its profile, the files ''abook.mab'' and ''history.mab'' can be deleted. They will be re-created, though empty, when you re-start Thunderbird, so you import their contents from the respective LDIf files to a suitable temporary address book and then move the Contacts (ctrl+a, drag and drop) into their preferred locations. -
I have been trying to work out how to use email address lists in the past few months.
I recently managed to import all my contacts from Windows Mail on the old PC. They are now in "Address Book", there were a few in "Personal Address Book" but most were in collected Addresses.
When I went into collected addresses and clicked New List it allowed me to create a list of the 25 or so emails required. Then I could send out the email.
The next day I opened Thunderbird to send another email to the same list and it had disappeared.
I have since surmised that you cannot save a list created from Collected addresses in your Personal Address book unless the addresses in the list are in your Personal Address Book.
I will try again now I have completed the import and see if that helps.
Any other ideas would be most welcome.You really should keep your contacts in your Personal Address Book.
You can drag and drop contacts between address books.
When sending a message, and the recipient isn't in your address book yet, Thunderbird automatically adds the recipients email address to Collected Addresses. You can turn that off though.

Cannot create new folders in Outlook
I just bought a new PC computer. I installed MSFT Office Professional Plus 2010. I opened Outlook and added in (i) the pst folder I had set up from my previous Vista
computer (also with Outlook 2010), (ii) my hotmail account, (iii) my at&t/yahoo account and (iv) my gmail account. I cannot create new folders in any of them.
When I right click anywhere in the navigation pane and select "New Folder..." I get the following error message:
"Outlook cannot read the registry information.
-Close and restart Outlook.
-Reinstall Outlook
-Reinstall Microsoft Exchange or other e-mail system."
I tried all three, including removing and reinstalling Office and removing all of the email accounts/pst files and re-adding and still have the problem.
If I try to right-click properties on any of the accounts, I get the same error message, with the following additional language first:
"Cannot display 'General' page. This page will remain visible, but is not available."
Not sure what is left to try.

From your description, If the PC from clean install, you can follow these steps to test this issue.
1.
Start the Outlook in safe mode,
Press and hold the CTRL key,
and then click Outlook.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them.
2.
Create a New profile & PST file to test this issue
If this problem does not occur in the new Outlook profile & PST, the old Outlook profile is corrupted. We can delete that and use a new Outlook profile.
3.

STRANGE PROBLEM with "Create New Mail Account.scpt" when creating POP acct.
I am using "Create New Mail Account.scpt" to create a POP account. It creates the account successfully. It fetches the mails successfully. Now the problem begins. After fetching all the mails once if u click "Get Mail" in mac mail, it fetches all the emails again and has now 1 original and 1 copy of the email set which is on the server. I just need 1 copy of the mail set not multiple. Please give me a solution or direct me to a help.

I can't quite tell what it's doing, but open Keychain Access in Applications>Utilities, click on your Keychain on the left, put .mac in the search bar, once you find it, double click on it and click show password.
If you have no mail in there try this with Mail quit.
Drag this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Start Mail & see if it steps you through it.
Not sure on the .uk thing, but is Date & Time>Time Zone set to the UK? -

BO4 - cannot create new universe connections
Hi,
In Universe Design Tool, trying to create new universe connections but not allowing this.
Doesn't show all the data access drivers we have installed.
Can migrate connections fine from XIR2 fine and reports run O.K

How do you create a mailing list on an ipod?
I will sometimes send an email on my ipod touch 4g to multiple people at the same time. But every time I do it I have to manuelly add in everybody one contact at a time. How can I create a mailing list that I can just select whenever I want to send an email to the same group of people?
By using an app to make a group. The iPod does not support making groups.

Programatically create new mail item and open - body text lost on subsequent saves

I have a problem with trying to create new GroupWise mail item from a
button in a C3PO. I require programmatic access to this via the Object
API, so it must be a saved draft. This is relativley straight forward to
do - just create a mail item using the object API, and then use the Token
API to open this item.
This worked fine in 6.5.0, however in 6.5.1 and 6.5.2 I have noticed that
when the user does a subsequent save, the body text of the message
dissappears in the GUI (it is updated correctly in the draft however) -
and all subsequent saves cause the body text to dissappear. If you close
the mail item and open the draft manually you can continue as normal.
As a test, I also tried to use the Token API to create a new mail item,
and then again to save the item in the work in progress folder. This
seems to work fine the very first time you do this, but each subsequent
time the same behaviour is seen - i.e. the body text of the email is
deleted from the GUI. Also, another observation here, event though the
mail item was saved in the WIP folder via the token API command
ItemSaveMessageDraft, it moves into the users MailBox when the user saves
it manually.
I have posted the two snippets of code from my test C3PO project at then
end.
This is a major problem, as we need to be able to reliably create new mail
items from a toolbar button, so any help very much appreciated.

I have posted the two snippets of code from my test C3PO project at then

This is a major problem, as we need to be able to reliably create new mail
items from a toolbar button, so any help very much appreciated.

I have just moved to a new hosting and have connected to it

and I found one of the server in container ADSIEdit were disabled inheritance. execute setup.exe /prepareAD, reboot the server (because it
ask for it), then execute setup.exe /preparedomain

Can't create New Mail or Reply
After recent security update was downloaded, I have not been able to create New Mail messages or Reply to those received. The only work around has been to open the received message and select SEND AGAIN from the menu and redo the address etc to get it to correct person. Clicking NEW, REPLY, REPLY ALL in the menu bar does nothing.
Any Ideas?Do you have any third-party Mail plug-ins? In the Finder, go to HOME/Library/Mail/. Do you see a Bundles folder there?
If not, it could be some LaunchServices cache corruption. The following article describes how to manually reset LaunchServices. The notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved.

It seems that the most appropriate utility for solving this particular problem is Tiger Cache Cleaner.
In addition to the utilities mentioned above, you may also consider OnyX, if for no other reason, because it's free. If you want to try OnyX, after installing it, do this (be sure to read the articles about the side effects of cache cleaning first):
1. Quit all applications.
2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
3. Click Maintenance. In the Reset section, check LaunchServices database.
4. You may uncheck any other pre-checked options if you've already done them using other utilities.
5. Click the Execute button.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you may try again checking the Links between documents and applications option in step 3 instead.
And yet another free cache cleaning utility is Cache Out X.
