Is there a solution to years old error message "Cannot create a system restore point [service cannot be started in Safe Mode (0x8007043c)]" I have been trying to create a restore point or image on an external hard drice, but I get the quoted message
and the system is NOT in safe mode. I have reviewed all the previous suggestions on this forum to no avail. Are there any new suggestions. My computer had Windows 7 installed and I have no source to re-load the OS. RalphHi,
So actually you're not in safe mode (not black background, no "safe mode" on the left-bottom of the screen), right?
I think something is causing your PC thinking itself is in the safe mode, run sfc/scannow and chkdsk /f/r, check if the two tools can find any error.
Or perform a startup repair in recovery console, check the result

Error While Creating Runtime Systems on an Existing Track in NWDI
Hi,
There is already a track in NWDI with No runtime Systems.
I have to create the RunTime Systems to do development on this track.
When I try to select the Development checkbox in Runtime systems,
select configure without wizard, Gave Deploy Host name: **********.com
Deploy Port :50018 (SDM port)
Deploy PSWD: SDM Pswd
It gives me a warning..
Synchronization of Runtime System triggered for system dev. Log can be found at
http://*****************************LogViewer?LogName=%2Fsapmnt%2FEPQ%2Fglobal%2FTCS%2FLOG%2FEPQ_WHRBD_D2010081322030045.log&Bsname=EPQ_WHRBD_D
When i go to the log file
I see this Error Message
20100813180502 Info :cannot create a connection for the buildspace: EPQ_WHRBD_D //connect to deploy tool failed:Server <Host Name> did not accept login request as admin on port 50018. Details: ERROR: Could not establish connection to <Host name> at port 50018: Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address
Can you please tell me what could be the Reason.
Basis has already opened the Ports : http port and SDM Port.
I am able to ping the server from cmd prompt.
Points will be allocated for the answer.
Thanks.
VenkatHi,
There's no need to update CMS or to check whether the buildspace is open, do not click on JSPM flag (unless you need nwdi control at upgrade)...
The error message means only that from the host where you configure the RTS the SDM cannot be reached or logon request cannot be accepted.
This can be either , because the
- SDM password is wrong (you checked it already)
- the port is wrong (you also checked it. If this is really a 700 RTS, i.e. it has SDM, and the instance number is 00, then the port is really 50018, so this should be fine as well. Only mention, because as of 71X we use the P4 port 5<xx>04 for the deploy controller, as there's no more SDM). Still you can use "netstat -a" to see the status of the ports.
- The host is wrong. I agree with Dao, check not only FQDN, but also IP address.
Using this guide you can always check whether the entered data is correct:

Error creating runtime systems in the track
Hi "NWDI gurus",
we are facing a typical problem. We have cretaed a track, assigned development runtime system initially and had carried on out development successfully. Now we wanted to add test system to our environment(track) and start transporting stuff to test system. When we enetered the SDM host name port and password and said "View/Edit Deployment Substitution Variables" we are getting the following error in our landscape.
"Server nnnnn did not accept login request as "admin" on port 50118. Details"
We use administrator user id to log on to SDM, we have admin user but that refers to network administrator in our LDAP system.
My concern is we were not using "the admin" user in dev and we were successful in our development and deployment and when we came to QA it is giving this error.
Any ideas how to solve this error.
Does admin here refer to the admin user in specific or is it a generic term to even mean the "administrator" user configured in the runtime syste,
Please advise
regards
sam

Could you please tell me the solution of the issue as i am facing the same issue.

I am attempting to create a system image of my c:\ (Windows 7 Professional RTM) drive to a network drive. I keep getting the following message when the process completes:
"New bad clusters were found on the source drive. These clusters were not backed up. (0x8078007D)"
I tried running CHKDSK C: /R /F from an administrative command prompt. This necessitated restarting Windows and running CHKDSK prior to starting Windows. Following completion, I tried running the image creation again with the same message.
Obviously, I do not want to try a restore since that could totally hose my system.
I looked at the target drive and it does appear that a number of files and folders have been created, but whether these are any good or not, I am not in a position to say.
Is this a documented bug, and is there a know fix?Windows 7 Professional RTM dual booting with Windows 7 RC (using RC to test Office 2010 in a test environment)

Verizon FIOS Internet ConnectionRan a scheduled backup tonight to my external USB drive. This backs up a data partition and creates an image of my c:\ drive. The message box said that the job had completed and had a green progress bar (the attempts from the prior post had a red bar), but when I looked at the Event Viewer, it had the same messages - see below:
I created this originally by creating a backup job - the images from above were from the Create a System Image option on the right pane.

HT201316 cannot create recovery system
Trying to upgrade from 10.6.8 to mountain lion. While it is installing an error message appears stating that it cannot create a recovery disc for mountain lion and then stops and reverts back to 10.6.8
I have got the same problem as talbotshort. I apologise for sounding dumb, but how can I boot Mountain Lion from my Snow Leopard installer? Do I need the disk to get the Snow Leopard installer?
I hope you can help me, thanks. -
Cannot create Portal System and Alias in System Landscape in Portal
hallo all,
i want to install vc, therefore i need to create an Portal System and Alias.
this i should do in system landscape in the portal
(System Admin -> System config -> System landscape )!
but when i open it, it is loading and loading and nothing happens!
can someone tell me, what problem that could be?
ep 7.0 is installed and i want to connect to ERP 2005 ECC 6.0.
regards VartanVartan,
The VC needs a portal in order to run - it needs to borrow the core portal and J2EE functionaliy as the VC components only bring in VC specific applications.
One question to ask, based upon personal experience, is what browser are you using here please? For instance, I've hit this issue when working from Firefox (1.5 or 2.0) but not when I'm running the same link in IE 6.0.
Just a thought. Let me know how you do.
Cheers,

Cannot create source system in RSA1
Hi,
I have a BI System:
Netweaver 7.0 unicode
BI_CONT 7.03
Windows 2003 server
SAP_BASIS: 700_016
SAP_BW: 700_18
I have an ECC 6.0 system:
Netweaver 7.0 non-unicode
Windows 2003 server
SAP_BASIS: 700_015
I go into RSA1 on my BI system
Click on Source Sytems
right-click on SAP and choose Create
I then fill-in the necessary ionformation and click on the Green check.
I am asked to login as an admin user.
I receive a popup sating that user already exist in source system, I choose Continue.
I receive a popup saying RFC destination already exists in source system. I choose USE.
I get this error at this stage: Error in source system JCB275.
So, I check RFC conenctions, they all work fine.
I finally find an error in SM21 in my ECC 6.0 system:
Run-time error "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND" occurred
short dump generated.
So, I go into ST22 and try to get more info on the short dump (I only copy/pasted some info):

Current screen: "SAPLSTRD " 0351.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:

I search SDN and SAP notes to no avail.
Note that this ECC 6.0 system is also connected to another BI system and it works fine on that other system.
thanks to allsolution found:

How to create Technical System in SLD configuration?
Howdy!
Our R/3 system has not packed with proper plugin so I can not use T-code rz70 to transfer system info from R/3 to SLD.
I try to create a technical system manually in SLD web UI.But in the last step of creation(ABAP based system),after I had choose the "installed product",which is SAP R/3 4.6c,"installed software component" didn't show on the right side panel as expected.
Anybody can tell me how to slove this?
Thanks indeed...There are a few notes on http://service.sap.com/notes that may help you with this! Try note number 584654.
What version is you kernel?
I think it needs to be at least 6.30.
J2EE Engine >= 6.30 on Windows and Unix platforms
Web AS >=6.40 SP4

Cannot create Trusted System in NW 7.1 CE
Hey to all,
I've installed NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SP 4.
Now I want to set up single sign-on between my Java Stack and an ABAP system. When I try to create a trusted System in NWA after choosing the system (which is provided from SLD on an NWDI system) and providing username and password I get an "Internal Error." with the following information in the log file (default trace):

Cannot create queue system device
hi all, I try to create a queue system device. Here's my code:
Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_OPERATION, 0, "SET", 0);
Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_CLASS, 0, "T_DEVICE", 0);
Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_STATE, 0, "NEW", 0);
Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_CFGDEVICE, 0, "/IBPS2/training/tuanta/mib_mess/device_file", 0);
Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_LMID, 0, "SITE1", 0);
size = 5;
<b><i>Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_DEVSIZE, 0, (char *)size, 0);</i></b>
tpcall(".TMIB", (char *)request_buffer, 0, (char **)&reply_buffer, &len, TPSIGRSTRT);
The problem is the size, see bold line. Everything is ok when that line isn't included. But if it's included, I receive a error, like this:
LIBTMIB_CAT:50: ERROR: Could not create device entry specified.
In both cases, file device_file is created. What's wrong here? thanks!
nullThe phrase should be "Fchg32(request_buffer, TA_DEVSIZE, 0, (char *)&size,
sizeof(size));"

Hi!
I am now creating a R/3 Production Source System in a BW Production System.
I get en error message "Error in source system", and fail to create the source system.
I check the RFC connection & the user account ALEREMOTE, they are all OK.
Is this problem because of the setting in SCC4 of both of the R/3 & BW system?
Any solution? Thanks in advance!
Best Regards,
ChrisHi Chris,
Step1 . Create RFC @ R/3 Prod and BW Prod
Ste2 . In BW prod -- > Source Sys tab --> SAP Folder --> rightclk Create --> Give the Destination i.e R3 Prod name and Enter Background user in source system and p/ws and same as source sys to BW , continue ... next screen enter user name and p/w -- popup will come --> select Use option.
Thanks -

Any idea what might have gone wrong?
Regards,
ShabeerHi Shobhan
I'm too facing similar problem as when i try saving the runtime systems similar error comes.
For your insight to my problem:
1. Is this first time you are creating a track ? --> Yeah track is getting created for first time.
2. Have you created Product and SC with all 3 required dependencies ? --> Only in SC that dependencies have been created and not product. will that matter here.
3. Have host file entries for all runtime systems is made in NWDI server ? ---> where do i look for this?
Thanks
