Cannot create STO due to Material Not released
Hi experts,
I have a query here.
A part number has block code BL (Blocked) in MM in MRP1 & Costing views. Because of which we cannot create Intercompany Stock Transport Orders.
However it allows us to create normal PO's for the same part to the vendors. The material status of this block code BL has only Inventory Mgmnt blocked with "B" whereas rest of the settings
Material 82001 cannot be taken from plant 1001 due to status "Not Released"
Message no. ME125
System Response
Procedure (system administrator)
Check the material status in Customizing:
Define material status
Could you let me know why it behaves differently in normal PO to that of Intercompany Stock Transport Orders?
Regards,
Pri
I dont know the reason, but probably it is to to avoid potential business trouble, to inform requesters at the earliest time that the supplying plant cannot delivery what you request.
Assume you would create STO today for a delivery in November.
You would be lucky because you succefully created the STO.
In November someone in the sending plant would starf processing the goods issue to you, would then realize that it is not possible, would then inform you about that.
you would get in trouble with your customer, as you cannot meet the promised delivery date.
Wouldn't you ask him why he did not tell you that in August already?
But the sending plant has no chance to know this prior to the processing (except they would lookup manually everytime the material master status when you send an order).
So the easisest way to let you know that it is not possible to move material in the sending plant, is thru the message at order creation.
As I said, it is just my assumption. You may ask SAP for the correct answer. Maybe another one here knows it.
Can it be that you do not use delivery processing for this STOs?

Hi, i cannot create STOs from plant 100 too 200 but I can create them from 200 to 100.
The error I am getting is;
Customer 234556 does not exist( please change entry in plant 200)
Points will be awarded.
Keep in mind these are 2 plants in 2 different company codes.hi
Assign your vendor to Delivering plant
Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor
Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO>Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21n and Save

PO can be created even if PR is not released
Hi,
I am facing an issues as follows after upgrade to ECC.60 from 4.6C
After creating a PR though it is picking a correct release strategy & PR is not released I can create PO with reference to PR.
But if I try to create PR which is created before upgrade which is not released, I am getting an Error message (message no 06,055) which us as per requirement.
What we found is on PR create/change/display transaction on Item detail screen & on Status tab new field is added in ECC 6.0.We are getting different status for PR created before upgrade & after upgrade as follows.
1) For PR created before upgrade we are getting status as 'In release'.That means system will not allow me to create PO with reference to this PR.
2) Where as for PR after upgrade we are getting status as :Active".That means system will allow me to create PO with reference to this PR.
Please tell me why there is a difference in status for both PR even though both PR are not released.Also how to make sure that whenever new PR is created & is subjected to release strategy the status will be picked up as "In release".
Note:Status can be seen on PR document>Item Details Screen>Status Tab.
Your help is highly appriciated.
Thanks & Regards,
Shyamdone.

Right now, it takes a couple minutes. XMLTYPE is one problem and the Complex Query exception is the other. If there is a work-around for fast refresh, please let me know. Greatly appreciated.jjmdb wrote:

Besides XMLTYPE column, your MV definition has a subquery which prevents it from being fast refreshable.
I could not find any specific reference in documentation about restriction on XMLTYPE (or CLOB) columns but it seems logical that oracle will not be able to keep track of changes to binary data. What does DBMS_MVIEW.EXPLAIN_MVIEW generate for your MV definition? That should tell you which all conditions (for FAST REFRESH) your MV violates. Since you can not create a MV LOG to include XMLTYPE column, it will not be possible to create a FAST REFRESHABLE MV that includes the XMLTYPE column.
I am afraid there is not much you can do here unless you are prepared to change the way data is stored in your base tables. If you can store data in base tables using standard data types instead of binary/XML storage, you might be able to create a FAST REFRESHABLE MV. -

Well...at least as up-to-date as on March 2nd(when I did last system-wide upgrade); trying to update system tonight to see whether this works.
stronnag wrote:If you have multilib and testing enabled, you also need multilib-testing, otherwise (as I know from bitter experience), you get these hard to track down errors.
Nope I didn't enable [testing]; I've discovered some packages in [multilib], namely gcc-multilib or something similar(with the -multilib subfix) and some of these packages belong to the group "multilib-devel". Is installing these packages a must for compiling 32-bit packages? -

i am assuming that you have cleared the inspection lot by giving UD, Ensure that stock posting has been done.
if Not, then, post the stock using QA12.
if stock is already posted, then get the Material Document for 321 movement.
Cancel that Document.

When creating allocation table to generate STO, we are having problem activating. The site delivery date is a day later than the dc delivery date.
Appreciate if somebody can please advise what is the causing this problem.
Thank you.Hi,
In front screen of Allocation table, store delivery date is after the DC delivery date..
for exaple dc delivery date 29.06.2009 and store delivery date 01.07.2009.
This could solve your problem.

8i: cannot create db. svrmgrl ORA-01012 not connected.
Hi,
running redhat 6.0, glibc2.1.1-6, kernel 2.2.5-15, egcs-1.1.2-12,
on my PII400 I tried to install 8i. After some problems with the
installer (you'd better not use defaults) and dbassist I was
ready to create the db. I let dbassist save the configuration to
a set of scripts. when I started the initial script
(sql<sid>.sh), I got a huge list of errors due to the fact , that
the server manager was not able to connect to the database. But
the processes were running. After having stopped the db processes
I tried to follow the creation procedure step by step:
export ORACLE_SID=db01
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=...
svrmgrl
connect / as sysdba
startup pfile=/ora/0/app/oracle/admin/db01/pfile/initdb01.ora
And at this point the processes started (ps aux |grep ora_) but I
was kicked out of the server manager immediately, which threw
an error:
ORA-01012: Not connected
I tried to log in again to start the creation of files,
tablespaces and db objects.
svrmgrl
connect / as sysdba
Connected. ( <- look at this ... )

nullWhat does your alert log say?
Are there any trace files in bdump or udump?
How much RAM do you have?
I originally had 64MB in my Dell Inspirion and I got all
sorts of weird error messages just trying to startup a tiny
database.
I upped it to 128MB and things run fine.
Create your own database create scripts. You can control the
process better that way.
Be sure to "set echo on" and spool the create process to a log
file to see what is happening.
Because the create process is often able to create a few files,
like the control files, before it will fail (depending on what
is wrong, of course).
Then your next create attempt will fail because those files exist
and it will disconnect you because a disconnect is often found at
the end of the create scripts (I always delete the disconnects
too).
Also make sure any of the background processes are shutdown
before running the create scripts again (pmon,smon,etc).
Just connect internal and do shutdown.

But at the time of Release time 65 materials only marked how to resolved this issue.

Normally this happens when at the time of release any master data maintenance is going on or some times any material movement is going on. So you can try to release again I hope it will be done.

Cannot create account due to supposed pre-existing Snapfish account
I am trying to connect my new HP Photosmart 5520 to the ePrintCenter but I keep getting a message saying that my e-mail address already has an account. When I try to use the "Forgot Password?" link on the sign in page it tells me my password is connected to a Snapfish account but when I try to login or click the "Forgot your password?" link on Snapfish it tells me that my e-mail is not linked to any account. I believe at one time I did in fact have a Snapfish account but I don't know what the password is anymore and the website obviously doesn't recognize it anyway.
Hi there, if you're sure you had a Snapfish account in the past and you're still not able to get teh password reset online I'd try contacting Snapfish support to get them to look at it for you. This is most likely what's preventing you create your ePrintCenter account when you use the same email address. Even though Snapfish website it saying the email address is not recognized it might be in a database somewhere that's causing the conflict with ePrintCenter. Try this and see how you get on. Best of luck.

Cannot create MIGO - Error message No. ME573
Dear Expert,
I cannot create good receipt for material import , there is an error mesage "transaction cannot be posted due to errors in price determination For [x] error during maintain of delivery cost in master condition. delivery cost conditions in different validity periods not identical.
is this error due to the change of configuration we did to the enhancement LIV report, actually all the condition type is in amount but we make changes to it, we changed to percentage. these changes are made on 1st of March 2010. to all the PO created before 1st March 2010 we had made correction of their condition type to percentage but for PO that already had the shipping before 1st March 2010 , the condition type cannot be changed.
I cannot create MIGO for this PO.
is this because of inconsistency in config setting in PO document (condition type: amount), whereas in SPRO setting condition type has been changed to percentage.
Please advice... what should I do to be able to create MIGO ?
Thanks
PaulineHi,
Please, kindly check also the attached note:
447374 - ME573 "Transctn cannt be postd due to errrs in prce detrmntn".
As this note states, there is a new system behaviour as of the
implementation of the also attached Note 446831. Please, check this
note 446831 for further information regarding the reasons.
This new program behaviour which initiates error ME573 can be
deactivated if necessary via a switch, as described in Note 447374.

Prevent outbound delivery for material not in stock
Hi Friends,
I dont want to allow system to create outbound delivery for material not in stock. What configuration should i maintain for the same.
My example is as below:
I have an order with 5 qty of material A and as there is no stock system has split the schedule line based on an incoming PO and confirmed the Qty based on the incoming PO. We have not done GRN for this PO and there is no stock available but still system allows me to created outbound delivery for this order.
How can I achieve this.
Regards,
Wasim.I dont want to allow system to create outbound delivery for material not in stock
Standard will allow you to create delivery even if stock is not available; but you cannot do PGI. If your requirement is even delivery should not be created, then go with delivery exit V50S0001

Coherence objects not released when undeploying application?
Hi
Part of our continuous integration build is deploying our application to a Weblogic server and running some selenium test cases against it. We have usually about 15 builds running each day.
Our problem is that we seem to be experiencing a memory leak in that process; each new build takes more and more memory until weblogic starts throwing out-of-memory errors (as a workaround we'r restarting weblogic every night).
After spending some time using a profiler (we'r using YourKit Java Profiler) it appears that the calls to Coherence libraries cause references to our objects not being properly released and GC is not able to get rid of them properly. If the calls to the Coherence libraries are removed teh GC correctly releases all our application objects.
To confirm this I have created this simle test scenario:
1. Created an empty web application (war) that has only one class in it:
package com.test;
import javax.servlet.ServletContextEvent;
import javax.servlet.ServletContextListener;
import com.tangosol.net.CacheFactory;
public class TestServletContextListener implements ServletContextListener {
public void contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent arg0) {
CacheFactory.shutdown();
public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent arg0) {}
2. Modified the web.xml to register the ContextListener:
<listener>
<listener-class>com.test.TestServletContextListener</listener-class>
</listener>
3. Created empty EAR that has only two libraries in it: coherence.jar & tangosol.jar (version 3.3.1)
5. included the test web application in the EAR (no other classes, projects or libraries are included; no other configuration settings are adjusted from defaults)
6. While using the profiler I was performing deployemnt and undeployment of teh EAR against the Weblogic server. With each new deployment a new set of com.tangosol* classes is created. Those classes are not released even when GC is forced from the profiler.
I'm not able to attach a screenshot from the profiler to this post, but with each redeployment I can see the following objects created (ordered with number of objects created in a descending order):
com.tangosol.util.Base$ComonMonitor: 1024 new objects
com.tangosol.run.xml.XmlToken: 16 new Objects
com.tangosol.util.ListMap: 11 new Objects
com.tangosol.util.RecyclingLingedList$Node: 5 new Objects
etc.
Am I doing something wrong or is there really a problem with the object references not properly released in Coherence?
thank you
s.Hello Robert
I have double checked that the two coherence libs don’t exist anywhere on the server class path. I have also tried calling shutdown from preStop instead of postStop but it made no difference.
(Please note that I'm not really looking for the right place to shutdown Coherence; instead I'm trying to demonstrate that calls to Coherence libraries causes object references not to be released properly. I have chosen to use the shutdown method only because it's nicely visible when it's being invoked and also it is something that our application is calling during shutdowns).
To make sure that I'm not overlooking something with the Weblogic setup I have tried it with Tomcat:
1. Downloaded and installed Tomcat 6.0.14
2. Create new WAR project and put coherence.jar & tangosol.jar in WEB-INF/lib
3. Created one class:
package com.test;
import javax.servlet.ServletContextEvent;
import javax.servlet.ServletContextListener;
import com.tangosol.net.CacheFactory;
public class TestServletContextListener implements ServletContextListener {
public void contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent arg0) {
CacheFactory.shutdown();
public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent arg0) {}
4. modified web.xml:
<listener>
<listener-class>com.test.TestServletContextListener</listener-class>
</listener>
5. deployed the WAR to the tomcat server with profiler connected to it
After that I have used Tomcat Web Application Manager (http://localhost:8088/manager/html/list) to Stop & Start the application repeatedly.
The behavior is the same as on weblogic. Each stop of the application creates another set of tangosol objects that do not get released by GC.
Am I correct when I say that there is some problem with the Coherence libraries causing memory leaks by not allowing GC to release old objects?
Thank you
s.
