Cannot deactive Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.0

I am trying to deactivate License on my old laptop to install on the new one but it's cannot. Please help!
Best regards

Acrobat 8 Pro's activation servers were retired. As the owner of that product you get a replacement non-activation copy and a new serial number for it.
You can simply uninstall the old copy.

Cannot print double-sided from Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.2
Problem limited to Adobe Acrobat, MS Office 2008, Pages, Keynote.
Can print double-sided from Safari and Mac Mail
Using HP Color LaserJet 2605dtn. Have downloaded most recent driver from HP
    Computer: Apple MacPro Tower, 6GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM, Quad-Core Intel Xeon, Processor speed = 3.2 GHz

Correct way to install new driver is go to Printer Utility and delete That printer from the list.
    Then install the new driver.
Then go back to Printer Utility and add the new driver Back
Then go to systems preferences and to Print Fax (or Printer if no longer setup for fax) and set up for the the printer and set as default.
This way you shouldn't have to go into either print menu or Page setup menu and set for desired printer.
most hp printer in the pint menu you click copies and pages and mouse down to two sided pages you choose either book (facing pages) or Tablet (printed as you would a Tablet that's bound at the top.
you need to test a two page document to see which does correctly for you. Its best never to have the application set for two sided. in fact if you have set for two sided in both one counter acts the the other.
So set it only in the printer menu and no where else.
Also once you set up you can save printer profiles that you can go back to click on the Presets button mouse down to very bottom save with a anme you can remember even put the words two-sided in title then save. Then you can go to that preset and print your heart out.

  • Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Reader

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 (AP) and Adobe Reader 9
(AR) installed on a WinXP system. Both AP and AR work, but if one
is open I cannot start the other: If AP is open and I try to open
a pdf file in AR (right click -> open with... -> Acrobat Reader
    9) the file opens in AP. If AR is open and I try to open a pdf
file in AP the opposite happens.
I am sure there must be a setting somewhere that turns this
behavior off but I cannot find it.
    Any help is appreciated.

You are simply finding another reason why Adobe does not recommend this combination. You may be able to try the /n command line directive to see if it allows multiple runs between the two.

  • How to uninstall the Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0?

I can't uninstall the Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 from my computer. It shows saying "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0  Get last Error:5." It also can't be re-installed. How to do it?

If you still want AA7 running, then open Acrobat and use Help>Repair. If you cannot open Acrobat, then in Windows go to Control Panel>Programs & Features, select AA7 and repair. If you do uninstall AA7, it is likely you will not be able to successfully reinstall it without a new download. Check https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.ht ml. If you are to the point you have no choice but to complete the uninstall, then use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.

  • Upon closing Firefox 4, Adobe Acrobat Professional opens

Sometimes closing Firefox 4 causes Adobe Acrobat Professional to open (in its own program) and display an error message of "Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your web browser. Reader will now exit. Please exit your browser and try again." Is there a way to prevent this?

I am tired of this happening and no one can give a fix, so after using firefox for years, my only suggestion is go back to ie.

  • Can't activate Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0

I re-installed Adobe Acrobat Professional and cannot activate it. Adobe says it is a stale product and no longer supported. They said download 22020134.exe and provided a serial number. It does not work.

    Please see http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l
If you already did that (and be sure to use the NEW serial number with the NEW download) tell us what "do not work" means, please.

    Hi larrygoynes,
To transfer the license from one pc to another the step you have to follow is to 'Deactivate' the license first from the older machine.
To accomplish this you need to Launch Acrobat, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'Deactivate'
On the new machine you can install Acrobat and then use the serial number to 'Activate' the software and this will complete the license transfer.
You can refer the KB Doc: Activation & Deactivation Help

  • SERIOUS ADOBE ACROBAT PROFESSIONAL 8 ERROR

    Hi
I am using (or TRYING to use!) Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.
But every time it loads up I receive the following pop-up message:
"A serious error has been detected and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot continue. Please re-install the application and try again."
I click OK, and then another message appears:
    "Acrobat.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x05bf1243" referenced memory at "0x12284e88". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program"
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but the error comes back!
What can I do?? Can ANYONE help?!!

I've been watching this thread hoping to find an answer to nearly the same issue... "Acrobat Cannot Continue At This Time Until You Open Photoshop" (?)
It doesn't matter which application I open... Acrobat is worhtless and closes in roughly 5 seconds. Hard to believe Adobe's been unable to duplicate this in-house? Now I'm afraid to uninstall it and reinstall ver. 7. I already had to FORMAT my Vista install and deal with Microsoft requiring personal information before allowing me to authorize my copy of Vista Ultimate a second time, just to get Photoshop CS3 installed on my PC following the beta fiasco.
And to think I installed Vista in the first place because I wanted to be able to use Bridge 2.0....
Jeff, why couldn't there have been a list of files and registry entries to be removed posted? Some sort of procedure to help out those of us that didn't install the Photoshop beta to the default drive or directory? The WinClean tool did NOT work for me, (or several others I'm aware of).
As it looks, the same thing is happening now with Acrobat 8. Those of us with problems are out of luck after spending a lot of money on a productivity suite of tools. After all the problems I had with getting Photoshop CS3 on my computer from Creative Suite, I installed it from a stand-alone version before installing the rest of the suite to gain use of Dreamweaver, etc., (which ALSO crashes my entire system every 2nd or 3rd time I use it!).
I don't mean to be ragging on it, but I am a bit confused after using Adobe products for as long as they've been around...
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Acrobat Professional X (Win) download help requested

I recently purchased a new laptop and would like to install Adobe Acrobat Professional X onto it.  I have previously purchased the program; however, I cannot download it from my Adobe account.  Only the serial number is listed under "My Products."  I have tried to find AAPX on the Adobe website in order to download/install, but everything keeps redirecting me to AAPXI.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can redownload AAPX?
Thank you for your time and advice!
    Marnie

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

I have tried to purchase Adobe Acrobat Professional XI this morning and payment (AED 1983.53) has been taken, I received a message stating there was/is a problem processing my order and that I should contact your customer service team in UAE.  Having tried this, I was met with a recorded message, in Arabic, and no options to speak to anyone.  I have found this process extremely frustrating and poor on your behalf.  Not providing any options to speak to an Adobe representative is equally annoying.  Please get back to me ASAP, as I need to use the product immediately.

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back.  So probably won't run on modern operating systems.  If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

  • Problem in creating PDF of Website using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.

I am trying to create PDF file of full website using "Create PDF from Web Page..." option, in Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.
It is creating PDF but the page alignments/text/images alignments are lost and doesn't look good.
Can any one help to create the PDF same as webpage look and feel.
    Thanks.

Acrobat 8's HTML->PDF engine is quite old and doesn't work well with modern web pages. I'd recommend trying the same page using Acrobat X (trial available) where the engine has been replaced and modernized.

  • Please Help!! Links to other PDF documents in my PDF document open in Adobe Acrobat Professional but NOT Adobe Reader XI

    Hi everyone,
I really hope someone can help me with this problem. I work for a software company and we have a release coming up. Every release requires me to create a 'menu' which is what users see when they insert the release CD. I create this menu in Adobe Acrobat Professional, and add links to all the PDF manuals we have for our products. When I open the Menu in Acrobat Professional, all links open fine. When just attempting to open the links using the default Adobe Reader (which i'm guessing most of our customers will use), nothing happens, not even an error is generated. I'm ensuring I link to the documents that reside in the same folder on my directory as the menu. Is this something to do with relative/absolute links? Something to do with Reader XI, as I don't remember having this problem for our last release? Foxit also seems to work in opening the links.
    Thanks

I’m using version 11.0.10. So where the Menu resides in a folder ready to be burnt on to a CD, that same folder is where the links point to.
    Thanks
