Cannot delete communication structure

Hi Gurus!
I am having problems deleting the communication structures. I installed some Business Contents using the In Dataflow before and afterwards. Consequently, some installed objects are irrelevant to what I need. I am doing some clean-up but I cannot delete the communication structure. It is really odd since Ive deleted the update rule connected to it, there are no existing transfer structures already still same errors encountered. Then when I try to delete it, it would say that InfoObject ex. 0GN_CAT_SSY of communication structure still being used, but whenever I change the communication structure it is highlighted and cannot be deleted.

Diagnosis
    The deletion of the communication structure for InfoSource
    0PROD_CATEG_TEXT is not possible. InfoObject 0GN_CAT_SSY of the
    communication structure is still being used. This use must be undone
    first.
    Concretely the communication structure of an InfoSource can only be
    deleted if there are no update rules for InfoCubes and no transfer
    structures for source systems for this InfoSource.
System response
    Activity was finished without database change.
Procedure
   o   Check the use of your InfoSource 0PROD_CATEG_TEXT in the transfer
       structures. Delete all existing transfer structures of your
       InfoSource 0PROD_CATEG_TEXT.
   o   Check the use of your InfoSource 0PROD_CATEG_TEXT in update rules
       for InfoCubes. Delete all existing update rules for your InfoSource
       0PROD_CATEG_TEXT.
   Afterwards, you can delete your communication structure for InfoSource
   0PROD_CATEG_TEXT.
Points will be granted whoever can help me. Thank you.

Check , whether your infosource is already assigned to datasource! At the Infosource tree, Open the Infosource, inside that, check you have any datasource assignment.(It will somthing like the name of the R/3 system).
Right click on the Infosource, and select the option "Delete the source sytem assignment"
Then try to delete the communication structure.
It should work!!

I want to delete the extra InfoObjects from the Communication Structure for 0VENDOR. I am in InfoSources section of RSA1 and double clicked on 0VENDOR InfoSource and 'InfoSource 0VENDOR Change' screen is displayed, but 'Insert New Row' (button with + sign) and 'Delete Selected Rows' (button with - sign) are in GRAY. Since it is in GRAY, we can not make any modifications to it. The Source System is R/3 Dev.
When I expand 'Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules' below the Communication Structure the Source System points to PC file. Next, I have changed the Source System to R/3 Dev and DataSource to 0VENDOR_ATTR and still unable to make modifications to Communication Structure.
What is wrong with it? How can I make deletions, PLEASE?

I am in BW Dev box and checked other InfoSources with R/3 Dev as SourceSystem and buttons are in GRAY only.
There is 0VENDOR_ATTR InfoSource with different SourceSystem assignment (R/3 QA Box) and the buttons are not in GRAY. It means I could make modifications to this Communication Structure.
Why I am not able to make modifications to 0VENDOR Comm. Structure, PLEASE?
Note: I have started installing the Business Content for Project Systems 0PROJECT_ATTR and stopped that transaction in the middle of the process on Friday. Is it caused some damage?

Cannot delete .PDF files from a shared folder.

Hello,
I am having issues with deleting/renaming PDF files!
Permissions is not an issue as even logged in as the Network Administrator of the Domain, I still can't delete the file.
The error message I'm recieving is: cannot delete xxxx.pdf It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using this file and try again.
There are only 1 or 2 users that would have access to the files and neither of them are using them. I can also reset the security permissions for the file and take ownership, but even after doing these things it doesn't make a difference?
I've tried various unlocking tools (Unlocker) and none of them report that the file is open or that there are any locks on them. This only happens with PDF files. If I reboot the sever the problem will go away, but this server needs to be 99.999% of the
time!

Hi,
Windows is somehow accessing Thumbs.db during the time of the folder move/delete attempt. Please go into Folder options > View > Always show icons, never thumbnails to check if you can delete .PDF files.

Cannot delete exe files - The action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer

We have received 3 new computers with Windows 8.1. All of us 3 have the same problem: we cannot delete exe files with message "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer"
For example, I download skypeinstall.exe on desktop, install the program correctly and then try to delete the file: file is in use by Windows Explorer, cannot be delete.
We reboot computer, we are able to delete the file. But, if I restore the file from the recycle bin on the desktop, I cannot delete it again until I reboot the PC. I used ProcessExplorer to see what is locking it and I can see 5 instances of explorer.exe
locking the file.
I can always reproduce the same way:
1-Reboot
2-Delete exe file
3-Restore file
4-Delete stop working and 5 explorer.exe handle are locking it.
I have tried the following so far after reading multiple threads:
- De-activating Windows Search service
- Activating User Experience service
- Deleting from command prompt (no success)
- In folder options: inactivate display icon on thumbnail and activate always display icons, never thumbnail
- Changing folder view (contents, detail, small icons...)
- Using Lock Hunter - not working until reboot
None of these worked.
We all have Windows 8.1 with Crucial SSD drive, could the problem be linked with the SSD drive incompatibility?
Any help would be appreciated.

Please try to make a clean boot for your system, then check if this problem resolved.

If problem persists, try to open Resource Monitor to check handle of Explorer.exe, if there any exception, end them for test.

Cannot delete music from my new iPod nano

I have just bought an iPod nano 4GB and when I first got it I copied over almost a full 4GB of music to it. I have now ripped a lot of my cds in itunes and have about 20GB of music so I cannot copy the entire library, therefore I would like to copy everything over manually. I have set this option in the iPod preferences but it doesnt seem to do much. I cannot delete any of the music from the iPod. In iTunes, I go to my iPod and select a tune and press delete, then it prompts me about deleting it from the list. I press Yes and it says "do not disconnect" but then when I go to the iPod, the tune is still there. I even tried deleting all of the tunes at once but nothing.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

I have managed to solve the problem. It appears that the file structure on the iPod had been corrupted so I used the iPod utility to erase the disk and install factory settings again. All seems to work fine now...

How to delete the structure created from Tx: EEWB ?

I have an issue at hand. I have added three components in the structure BUS000___I and the components are ZZ1, ZZ2, ZZ3, I was following the EEWB wizard and from there these three components were made, now I cannot delete these components directly from SE11. Because after adding these components the system is not allowing me to do so and is asking for the access code.
I am getting a syntax error in all the tx where Business Partner is used. No old versions for this structure was found in the system. The only structure that has come into this BP structure is ZBSTC0000000000 followed by three data elements of this structure.
I know the Project and the enhancement that was created and I have tried deleting the enhancement from EEWB but when i try deleting it, it always fall into an intermediate stage where it leaves some entries and due to these left over entries these errors are coming.
Another imp thing is that the structure that i have reported is a newly created one I cannot find this anywhere else. looks like this structure was created after executing the EEWB transaction only.
Now when I try activating the enhancement again the magic wand button used to activate an enhancement and the generate button is also inactive in EEWB and now it is not getting activated, even after rt click enhancement then clicking change or by clicking on the edit-change button on the top tool bar. Do you think if I create another enhancement this button might get activated?
Please let me know how do I delete these components.

New Custom Field in Delivery output Communication Structure

Hello friends,
I need your help to Solve my below problem
We want the delivery output to be triggered based on the shipping point and storage location.
Storage location is at item level and is not in LIKP and hence not in KOMKBV2 (Output Comm Structure for Deliveries)
I have created a new Field ZZLGORT in the Header Strucutre and has performed thefolloiwng steps
1. Include field ZZLGORT in communication structure KOMKBV2. This is an Include that is provided for additional fields.
Add the field with the name ZZLGORT in Include KOMKBZ4.
2. In structure KOMB in Include KOMBZ, have added the same field
(same procedure as for item 1).
3. In view V_T681F, I created the same field with transaction SM31 under key B V2.
4. Program LVCOMU04 contains Perform USEREXIT_KOMKBV2_FILL. This Perform
is in program RVCOMFZZ.
Modiied the source code as follows:
FORM_USEREXIT_KOMKBV2_FILL.
COM_KBV2-ZZLGORT = item Storage location.
When i am in Debugging mode till the last minute the structure COM_KBV2-ZZLGORT is having the storage location value.
so there is no problem in the userexit logic.
5) I have created a new cond table , and assigned the table access sequence and assigned he access seq to the Delivery output type
When i created the Delivery , the output analysis screen shows that the field ZZLGORT is blank ( With exclamation Mark) and it says Access Not made (initialized Field )
can any one of you tell me what is the step i am missing out to make sure that the analysis screen has the storage location.
and also the system reading the condition record and issuing the output.
i have checked whether the output is issued by some other condition or not. no there is only condition record and its triggering that condition record but the analysis shows "Output Not found"
Can any one of you help me here please. Your immediate inputs will be of great help to me

Hi Srini,
As per note 32662 it seems you have followed all the steps, but might be that you didn't do in proper sequence.
The note states that:
"If a new access sequence and condition table was created before the communication structure was modified, it must be deleted again. Items 1 to 5 must be carried out in the specified sequence."
So I guess the key for you would be to delete the Condition table and access and create them again.

Sample code for a custom field added to LIS Communication structure for Del

We appended a new custome field into extraction structure of the LO Cookpit datasource 2LIS_02_ITM through RSA6. And then run CMOD to write the exit code to populate the value and it works fine. But after we read Roberto's Weblog:

Find the enhancement we did can't make the Delta mechanism works if only this new field gets changed in a record, and the change cannot be reflected on BW. I know we can run SMOD on the enhancement LEINS001 to write the code for LIS Communication structure customer exit. But we have never writen such a code for LIS Communication Structure enhancement and also don't know on how to make the Delta mechanism works in the code. We would be very appreciated if some expert here can provide the sample code!

The compile of the above code works fine and we activated everywhere including project level. Then we set debug points in this code, and run RSA3 on 2LIS_02_ITM, but find the extraction program never reaches this code or call this user exit function EXIT_SAPLEINS_001 of this enhancement LEINS001. Windows 8.1 client cannot delete shared server files.

We have one office that has a Windows 8.1 client on the network that cannot delete files in a shared folder on their server.
The folder is a catch all folder for the copier to scan to and contains all the PDF files it creates. When the one user tries to delete any of the PDF files they get an error saying the file is in use. We have tested by deleting files from
the server and also from other workstations.
We have rebooted the computer and also tried to resolve it by specifically giving the user full rights to the folder, but the problem remains persistent.

There are several possible reasons for your situation, you might don’t have a permission of this folder, the folder is in use, a corrupted file is in current folder.

First, I suggest to log on the computer with an administrator account to delete the folder and disconnect the network connection if possible, second, Run your computer in safe mode to delete the folder or files, to run computer in safe mode:
Restart your computer, meanwhile press F8 until you see the safe mode screen.
Hit enter at safe mode, log on the system as an administrator.
Find the folder or file you want delete.

Cannot delete calendar items, even with delete permission

Hello,
we have applied the following GPO Setting on per User basis:
Store deleted items in owner's mailbox instead of delegate's Mailbox
As we moved from Lotus Notes to Outlook and are using some shared Mailbox, this option is a must have for us.
The negative part: A User that want's to share his calendar with someone else and gives delete permission (for example publishing Editor)
cannot delete items. If the Users gives "author" permission on his own "deleted items" Folder in his Mailbox, it's working.
When you know it, it seems logically, but uncomfortable for the user.
Is there another way to work around the issue, for example set the author automatically when applying delete permission on calendar items, if the mentioned GPO is applied.
It think this might be a good patch for Outlook :-)

Just as you mentioned, it is logical and it's the expected behavior. This issue occurs because the Deleted Items folder is not granted permissions when delegates are set in Outlook. There is no way to automatically set the author when applying delete
permission on calendar items. If it's an unwanted item, we can just hold Shift key and delete the calendar item. This will permanently delete the item without moving it to Deleted Items folder. Or, we have to grant the delegate at least author level permissions
to the Deleted Items folder of the owner's mailbox in Outlook. See:

The only difference is error in central admin. Before for another web application i got
Object not set to a reference of an object. now i am getting An object in the SharePoint administrative framework, "SPWebApplication Name=ShareAppsUAT", could not be deleted because other objects depend on it. Update all of these
dependants to point to null or different objects and retry this operation. The dependant objects are as follows: in both powershell and central admin.
Solution in above thread gives following error for this case

How to solve it? It is like a loop. If i go to delte web appliction it says content database is dependent object and if i do for content database it says web application is dependent object

Hi Adit,
From your description, the issue might be caused by orphan items in sitemap.
Please execute command below to check IDs and site map status for all site collections and subsites in the issue content database:
stsadm -o enumallwebs -databasename <database name>
Then use the command below to delete orphan sites:
stsadm -o deletesite -force -siteid <siteid> -databaseserver <database server name> -databasename <database name>
Now run IISReset and try delete web application via:
Remove-SPWebApplication - identity http://sitename

Saving of communication structure Dictionary failed

Dear All,
I am trying to activate Business Content for Vistex Module in SAP BI 7.0.
I have taking the Cube and installing using before flow.
The installation job finishes successfully.
But the communication structure remains inactive and when i try to activate manually it shows the error message as "Saving of communicatioin structure /B299/CSLIS_RM_IPCRKON in Dictionary failed".
Message no. RSAR211.
The same is the case with all the Vistex Infosurces.
Having tried searching for SAP Notes but no use.
Please let me know how to solve this issue.

I see this is marked answered, I have similar issue as we prepare upgrade from ECC5 to ECC6, the the new DEV system, the Vistex datasources (/IRM/LIS_RM_IPCBKON) do not show up in RSA6. Eventhough this ECC6 is a system copy of a working (Vistex active) ECC5 system. So I also looked in RSA5 to install the Vistex content, but cannot find it. I too have searched throughout and can find very little in regards to Vistex, so any help is appreciated

Planning hierarchy created for wrong plant: cannot delete.

Hi,
Planning hierarchy (mc61) got created for wrong plant for info structure S976. I deleted the materials from the list (mc59). But I cannot delete the wrong plant.
Thus, I am not able to create the new plant for that particualr info structure and asisgn the materials to that plant.
How do I delete it?
