Cannot delete (non-downloaded) video podcasts from my iPad

Using iTunes on my iPad, I tried to download some video podcasts from CNN and Discovery Channel. For 4 days now, I have had 4 episodes sitting in my "Downloads" section, witht the words "waiting" underneath.
I have searched the discussion forums and the web for answers.
I have done hard restarts.
I have downloaded the above podcasts directly to iTunes on my computer, and tried to sync them with my iPad. It said that the iPad could not play that type of content.
I have deleted the podcasts from my computer and synced with the iPad again.
All to no avail; I cannot remove the 4 offending episodes.
Please, someone, help!

Cant download video podcasts from Itunes

For some reason I'm having issues downloading video podcasts on itunes although I can download audio podcasts. I just switched computers and moved my itunes download directory, everything seems to work except Video podcasts.
I don't get an error, it says done but no download file shows up, it just keeps the icon GET on the right side.

carlos, I to am having the same issue as you, and it is extremely frustrating!! I can watch the temp file get larger and larger, then once it has finished downloading, it gets removed from the PC! Hopefully someone has an answer.

Cannot Find or Download My Pictures from my iPad

I am using a first generation iPad which has some pictures saved on there from before.
I have bought a new MacBook Pro, and when I plug this iPad into my new MacBook Pro, I cannot find or see these pictures anywhere in my iTunes or my iPhoto and therefore cannot download them.
I want to save all the content from my iPad before reformatting it, however I need to save this pictures before doing so. How can I back up/download these pictures without losing them?

If the photos were originally synced from a computer then your Mac won't see them, it will only see photos taken with an iPad (including screenshots), those copied to it via the camera connection kit and those saved from emails/websites etc.
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they were on the computer that they were synced from.

How can I delete partially downloaded music albums from my iPad 2?

I bought what I thought was an album from the ITunes store. Turned out to be a jumble of songs from several albums which went everywhere. I hate a mess like that so I decided to just delete all the songs. Now I am left with partial albums with no cover art and songs that don't even play. I can't delete them directly from my iPad and syncing with iTunes won't get rid of them either. Am I stuck with them?

If the iPad is on IOS 7, you will need the previous owner's Apple ID and Password to:

Try to reboot the iPad by holding down the on/off button and home button at the same time for about 10 seconds till you see the apple logo and let it restart. Then go look again in Updates. See if that helps.

Cannot delete a third party app from my iPad ... it has frozen mid-download and is not going anywhere fast !

I have a 3rd party app that will not delete. I've tried via iTunes and the App Store but to no avail. I've hard reset my iPad, signed in and out with different Apple ID's but the app remains frozen (mid-download) and I can't get rid of it to reinstall it afresh. Any suggestions ? The developers haven't got a clue how to fix this. I'm the only person with this issue it seems.

Issues with Downloading/Viewing video podcasts from NBC News

I am currently experiencing a problem with downloading video podcasts from NBC News. On my iPad 3, white iPhone 4 from Verizon, 3rd generation Apple TV and my mid-2012 15-inch MacBook Pro, it takes forever to download any kind of video podcast from NBC News. For example, on my iPad 3, it has taken over 35 minutes to download 7 MB out of 131 MB of video. The same thing happens on my iPhone and MacBook Pro. This has been going on for about a week now. Audio Podcasts from NBC News are fine. Other video podcasts play instantly.
Trying to play an NBC News video directly in iTunes on the Mac, or in the iOS podcast app, or trying to play it on my Apple TV is no better - the video is extremely slow to load with lots of stops and goes.
The problem also extends to NBC's iOS apps. Videos continuously try to load and do not play in the NBC Nightly News app for iPad for example. And, videos take forever to load at nbcnews.com, nbcnightlynews.com on my Mac.
I feel like there is something wrong with NBC's content. Has anyone been experiencing this same problem? I have not rebooted my wireless router or modem, I do not think that would do any good. Rebooting my devices do not make a difference.

Can't delete video podcasts from 5th gen classic

I have a 5th gen. 30gb ipod classic. I have about 3gb of video podcasts from itunesU installed and can't remove them because they don't appear anywhere on itunes except on the bar graph at the bottom of the screen. My ipod is full and I need to remove them. Can I delete them directly without using itunes, or is there a way to get itunes to recognize them. itunes and ipod are fully up to date.

I was having the same problem. But I believe I found the solution. :]
1. Once your ipod is plugged in, push SHIFT
2. In the bottom left corner a icon will change from a + to a *
3. Click this icon and a box will come up for a Smart Playlist.
4. Enter the information: GENRE IS PODCAST
5. Check box in front of limit to. Then enter information for limit to (A NUMBER WELL ABOVE YOUR SONG COUNT)(EX. 100000) and then ITEMS selected at RANDOM.
6. All of your unfound podcasts (or whatever you wish to search) will be put into that new folder.
7. Then simply click on the folder and press SHIFT and DELETE.
8. Your video gb count should prove that the information was deleted.

I downloaded several podcasts from On Being but I cannot find most of them on the display. Where did they go? How can I retrieve them?

I downloaded several podcasts from On Being but I can only see four or five of them when I touch podcasts. When I check back on the subscription to On Being, I see all the podcasts checked off that I downloaded. Why are they not on the display so I can play them? How do I retrieve them? When I go back to the subcription list, the items do not allow for download again (ie. there is not "get").
I have an iPod Nano that I just bought last month. The user manual give mostly info on songs and little useful info on podcasts.

HELP - I can't download video podcasts that I used to be able to !

I have a 120 gb iPod classic that I received for Christmas a couple of years ago (2008) & I download podcasts to it every wk. since I received it. It still has 80 gb of free space BUT it wont' load some video podcasts from iTunes now. I'm thinking I accidentally changed a setting somewhere. Can somebody PLEASE help me? The video podcast I'm having trouble with today is "Max Lucado - Video Podcasts" that are in the iTunes store. I downloaded the "Call to Prayer" in Jan. '10 just fine & have many of his earlier than that on my iPod but none of the ones past that go to my iPod from iTunes. iTunes gives me a message that 3 of the videos were unable to load or something very similar to that.

I too have this problem but it seems to be selective.....I can download cooking video podcasts just fine but the Hubblecast video podcast files will not load onto my ipod.....how frustrating...hope there is an answer soon...

Yes, it will now always show that you purchased it, but with it deleted from ipad, when yu click the icon to download again, it will download the latest versioon available from the app store.
You cannot delete what is in the app store. nor can you erase your previous history of purchasing the app.

try a reset of iPhone and then a restore,best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
If you mean hard reset, it will only wipe your phone memory empty. If you have data on your memory card it will stay untouched.
If you are unable to delete files in mass memory mode via computer, we would advise you to remove the memory card from your phone and connect it directly into your computer with an adapter and see if you can modify it's contents that way.
If the problem persists, you could try to format the card either on your phone or computer and see if that helps. Just remember to backup any content you'd like to keep before doing this.

How can I delete hidden video files from the iPad? These files were created on my MBA and when I changed the media type to iTunesU and then copied it to my iPad via iTunes, they did not appear. I can see them using 3rd party software, but they don't have delete functionality.

Interesting note: I can see the files when I use the search function, but when I tap either file, I return to my home screen. The video does not open. I can transfer the file to my MBA, and it plays fine, but I cannot figure out a way to delete them.
