Cannot delete Package Link due to being "used in schedule"

Hello all,
I am trying to delete a Package Link in EPM's Data Manager and am getting the message that:
"Package link {technical name of package link} is used in schedule"
Is there a way to find what schedule this Package Link thinks it is a part of? We are not running this Link in a schedule to our knowledge.
We are running EPM 10.0 SP14 Patch 2 .NET 4

Hi Alex,
You can disable the schedule link from EPM Add-in menu Data Manager->View status->View schedule status-> Then you can right click on the schedule and select delete schedule.

WLC Deleting Interface: Interface group is being used by AP Group

When trying to delete an interface from an interface group, I am getting the error Interface group is being used by AP Group. Is there a way I can delete the interface?

Or you can select another interface freeing the one up you want to delete and then delete it .. key here is that the WLC wont delete a interface that is tied to a WLAN ..

Deleting Interface: Interface group is being used by AP Group

When trying to delete an interface from the Interface Groups, I am getting an error "Interface group is being used by AP Group." Is there a way I can go in to delete the interface?

In this case you need to disable all protocols or vlans where you are using the group that you want to delete, probably a vlan is using your group and that´s why you can´t delete it, then you will be able to delete it. TS4002 I cannot delet a file on my IPad using icloud mail...keeps freezing up and crashing.

Dear Apple friends,
I have the exact same problem with some apps.
Even when I try some websites in Safari and Chrome that require loading big chunks of data they crash.
Today it crashed in two new places. In the notification center and when I opened newstand app I no longer was able to return to the main window and the dock disappeared.
I have my ipad retina for about three months now but latelly this issue has became more frequent. What should I do?
Should I update to the latest firmware and do what raymond73 said?
Is there a fix for this issue?
Has Apple said anything about this? Because I see that this issue is happening to a lot of people.
Is it possible to downgrade to iOS 6?
Is it a firmware problem? That can be fixed in future releases? Or an hardware issue?

Cannot delete package/applet

I loaded a package (.cap file) onto the card and made the applet selectable. immediately after these operations I tried to delete the package and/or the applet but I keep getting 69 85 error described as "Conditions of use not satisfied".
has anybody got a clue?

Can you delete it after a card reset and authenticating to the card manager? If not, here is what gave me the same error on a latest generation SIM card from GemPlus:
If the applet stores any reference to an array (transient or persistent) or object in class variables, the applet can not be deleted anymore. The solution was to add an APDU which, when received by the applet, causes the applet to assign null to each reference type class variables. After doing this, the applet becomes uninstallable.
This may or may not be the reason for your problem, but if you cannot find another reason, you may want to give this a try.

Cannot delete file - tried everything - file in use by Windows Explorer error

Hi - I have tried now for 2-3 hours trying to delete an .mkv file from my "Downloads" folder
It says the file is in use by Windows Explorer and cannot be deleted
I have tried deleting it using Del command prompt as me and as Administrator (I am the Admnistrator, there are no other users) - no luck
I have tried Safe Boot and then deleting - no luck
I have tried rebooting many times and then deleting - no luck
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts

hi to all who have this bug- "file in use by Windows Explorer error"
this is the only way that it works:
1.type cmd in search box
2.go to the drive and the directory the file is in ,for example:
after you type cmd you have a black screen with c:\user\
type in the drive the file is in and hit enter example - d: than hit enter
than you should see d:\>
now click the directory the problem file is in ,for example i will call the directory "movies" type in this- cd movies
now you will see this d:\movies>
to delete the file type this: del filename.mkv (dont forget the .mkv or any other file extension) don't hit enter yet, first open task manager (cntrl+shift+esc) go to process tab than right click on explorer.exe choose and click on end process
now your desktop should disappear. get back to the "cmd" window and hit enter.
now the file is deleted. now go back to the task manager and click on "file" on the upper left corner then on new task then type in "explorer.exe"
and you are done
please note that the file name you choose to delete cant be with spaces between the letters .if so you will need to change it in the same way in the cmd window only the comand will be instead of "del filename.mkv"(for example) after you are in the
right drive and directory:
rename "test space.mkv" testspace.mkv

Instead of running a CMD prompt and typing everything, just start up Winrar or Winzip, kill Explorer, then delete problem MKV files to your hearts content within Winrar or Winzip.
Winrar and Winzip will navigate your folders as well.
After you are done, create a new Explorer task.
or..... if you need to rename MKV files, just rename them within Winrar/Winzip with Explorer not running.
I change the MKV extension to AVI (in Winrar with Explorer killed) in order to avoid Explorer issues, if I ever want to move the files in the future without needing to kill Explorer all the time to do so .
Using WinRAR works for me. Using the cmd function becomes complicated when I cannot rename my file with the rename command".

Cannot delete notes from Notes application (or use the Web Gallery button)

I just noticed today that I am unable to delete any of the notes saved in the notes application. When I click on the trash can icon, two buttons pop up like usual. However, I am only able to select "Cancel." The "Delete Note" button in unresponsive when pressed. I really just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. I know it is not the screen because i have no problem using the keyboard in other applications. Actually, just as I'm typing this I tested the Photo application and tried press the "send to Web Gallery" button, and it was also unresponsive. I've restarted, and reset, but haven't restored yet.

Onmy iphone again no notes.
Stil on my mac there are the notes. I just deleted and re-installed the account.

Cannot eject USB HDD that is being used for Time Machine after upgrading to Lion

After upgrading to Lion from SL, I have had only one issue. Amazing! Great job Apple with making the process smooth, but my issue is this. Ever since the upgrade, I cannot eject the external USB HDD that I use for Time Machine. I get the following error:
The disk "Time Machine" wasn't ejected because one or more programs may be using it. To eject the disk immediately, click the Force Eject button. There is the little spinning fan and the message "Trying to eject" and then the fan disappears and where it said, "To eject the disk immediately..." it now says "You can try to eject the disk again or click Force Eject to eject it immediately." I can click Force Eject and it will work, but seems like there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Any thoughts anyone?

Ok, I think there's a slightly better way, but try this:
Open the Terminal app (in your Applications/Utilities folder). Be very careful with this app. It's a direct link into UNIX, the underpinnings of OSX, but without the protections of OSX.
In Terminal, the prompt looks like this: <Computer Name>:~ <your name>$
(where <your name> is your short user name). It's followed by a non-blinking block cursor.
Copy the following after the prompt:
lsof |grep
and leave a space. Then drag the Backups.backupdb folder on the TM drive from a Finder window into the Terminal window (Terminal will convert that into a "path").
Press Return.
You should get a list of geeky stuff; but the first thing on the next line should be the process that's using the drive (Finder in the sample), followed by another prompt:

Is it safe to delete /media if its not being used?

All my drives/devices are set to mount in /mnt. Nothing uses /media. Is it safe to delete the directory or could this potentially break some software/things?
p.s I'm not really a newbie but I couldn't think of anywhere else to post this

HAL uses the /media directory, so if you use HAL to mount devices automatically, then you need it.

I am running Windows XP PRO. Firefox 3.6 islisted in in my computer and I cannot delete it in the control panel using the Add of Delete Function. I have even gon into the safe mode and I still cannot delete it.

I want to intall Mozilla Firefox 4. Will this delete the contents of Firefox 3.6? I was to the point that I was ready to Reboot the Whole system. I called Microsoft and they resolved the Silverstream issue. When in the control panel I click on the delete function all that is does is stay at Blue. It will not delete and it does not give me any message.

The normal method is simply

You should be able to delete Firefox and remove it, from your Windows XP control panel although that may not be what you intend.
If you have doubts about compatibility stay with Firefox3.6 for now.
Some software extensions will currently have problems with firefox 4 (and that iircc may include some versions of silverlight )
Do NOT use any delete settings (or whatever it is worded) that will loose all your passwords and bookmarks.
BTW the safe mode in relation to Firefox is a totally different concept from Windows safe mode, but you probably have no need to use either of them.

On an ordinary upgrade Firefox will preserve your profile details which include bookmarks any passwords.
You should have no problems in installing Firefox 4. You should be able to install firefox 4, and retain any bookmarks etc that were used in firefox 3.6, but sometimes extensions may be incompatible.

Cannot delete or add playlists to iPod using manual adjust option

Hello!
First time I tried manual adjust it worked for me (I deleted 2 lists off my iPod, and added a new one).
But now, two days after I did that, adding or deleting playlists simply won't work.
When I connected my iPod to the computer, iTunes told me that my iPod couldn't sync because there was not enough space for that (1 MB).
Then, I try deleting 1 or 2 playlists from the iPod. Despite the deleting, the number of songs in the Music library is still the same. Which means, nothing has been deleted.
And when I try to add a new playlist as a substitute for the one I tried to delete, it only adds the playlist, without the songs in it, though.
Can anybody help me?

Can't turn TM off (due to past use of scheduling editor?)

Long ago (several 'cats' in the past) I changed the once-an-hour schedule of Time Machine. It think I used a program called Time Machine Scheduler, which I no longerhave and cannot find.
Ever since, Time Machine refuses to stop. The Preferences setting for On-Off is ignored, and TM is always On.
It seems there some setting, somewhere, that has not been reset, even through multiple OS updates. It's driving me crazy that every time I take my MB Pro away from the desk, I get Time Machine error messages even when I've turned it off.
Clearly, there's a setting somewhere that was changed, and that has survived muliple OS updates.
Since the current tool for this purpose seems to be Time Machine Editor, I installed it and then de-installed it, hoping that that might restore the settign to its default. No such luck.
Does anyone have a solution? I've seen several Terminal commands for changing the TM schedule but they seem to evolve as the OS changes. I don't want to try an outdated Terminal command and make things worse.
Is there a way -- through Terminal or otherwise -- to restore the TM defaults so that the Preferences On-Off setting will be respected?

If that's it, you could try installing it again and using the "uninstall" button. But I'm hesitant to recommend that.
The description on that web page makes sense in places, and doesn't make sense in others. I think the author wasn't quite sure what he was doing, and didn't fully understand the implications. It sounds like he adds a second set of files for controlling Time Machine, overriding the Apple ones - and that's why nothing you do works, since everything else just changes the Apple settings.
Before using that software again, try looking in a couple of places to see if you can find the extra files that the software added:
Use "Go -> Go to Folder" as mende1 suggested, but type "/Library/LaunchDaemons" and look for something that has TimeMachineScheduler in the name, or something similar. Do not delete it (yet). If nothing is there, try "/System/Library/LaunchDaemons" (this is a folder that you're never supposed to touch, ever, but I suspect this software does). Again, look for a file with a name that suggests it came from this software.
If you find a file, and you're sure that it's from this software, then "copy" it (the old command-c, or "Edit->copy"). Open up terminal, and type this command and paste the file into the end of it before you hit "return" (it will just fill in the full path to the file):
sudo launchctl unload -w
After you paste, the full command will look more like this (but probably not this exactly, because I'm just guessing):
sudo launchctl unload -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.klieme.TimeMachineScheduler.plist
Hit the return key, you'll need to type your password (invisibly) and hit return again. Hopefully not much happens - if you see any kind of message it means something went wrong. This command tells your mac to stop loading this preference list file, and the "-w" makes it permanent.
For good measure, restart your mac. If the problem goes away, then you can go ahead and delete the file. And hopefully Time Machine keeps working - it's possible that this software also disabled Time Machine in order to override it, but that's solveable too. And it's highly likely that the regular Time Machine preferences will start working at this point.

Cannot delete .PDF files from a shared folder.

I am having issues with deleting/renaming PDF files!
Permissions is not an issue as even logged in as the Network Administrator of the Domain, I still can't delete the file.
The error message I'm recieving is: cannot delete xxxx.pdf It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using this file and try again.
There are only 1 or 2 users that would have access to the files and neither of them are using them. I can also reset the security permissions for the file and take ownership, but even after doing these things it doesn't make a difference?
I've tried various unlocking tools (Unlocker) and none of them report that the file is open or that there are any locks on them. This only happens with PDF files. If I reboot the sever the problem will go away, but this server needs to be 99.999% of the
time!

Hi,
Windows is somehow accessing Thumbs.db during the time of the folder move/delete attempt. Please go into Folder options > View > Always show icons, never thumbnails to check if you can delete .PDF files.

Using the ipad with ios7, cannot open mail links

I cannot open mail links on the ipad using ios7. Anyone else having this problem?

I can confirm that I'm having the same issue on my verizon iphone 4 on ios 7. If I click a link in an e-mail sent to me through the IOS mail app, safari often does not open. I've noticed that some pages will open. For example. A friend sent me a link to a story on imore.com. The link to the story would not open in safari. Dead. However, a separate link in the e-mail to the main site, imore.com DID open in safari when I tapped on it. I've had this issues with links not working for the last 2-3 weeks, and for whatever reason a reboot of the phone (hold down on/off and home, wait for logo, release buttons) has temporarily fixed the issue.

Cannot delete files using dreamweaver

I just updated a site to the latest version of PHP and MySql. I find that while I can upload new files to the site, I cannot delete either existing or new files using Dreamweaver CS6.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried with a different FTP client?
This sounds like a LINUX permissions/ownership issue. Upgrading PHP would not change the permissions/ownership, unless something else happened during the process, such as that the files were moved to a different location.
The way PHP runs affects permissions/ownership (DSO, CGI, suPHP, etc.), but even if that changed I don't think it would affect the permissions set on your site files.
