Cannot delete print job

One of my print job is on permanent "hold." The problem is I cannot delete it (neither from the toolbar nor menu), nor can I resume it. I just stays permanently at the top of the print queue. Even after restarting the computer, restarting the printer, it stays there. How can I delete it? Is there some terminal command or such that allows me to delete print jobs?
The printer is a HP J6480.
It's not a major issue, but irritating. I have set the printer icon to "auto quit," but it never quits due to the held job.

    Hi Sasha,
Using Acrobat, you can create forms that are called AcroForms. The forms created in LC Designer are called XFA (XML Forms Architecture) and are more data centric. While both will open in Acrobat, they are completely different animals.
The issue with users not being able to save the data with Reader is that the form is not Reader Enabled. You can Reader Enable a form using one of two methods:
Reader Enable the form using Acrobat Professional (V8 or below) or Acrobat Standard (V9 or above). Note there are licensing restrictions.
Reader Enable the form using the full server product Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES2.5. This involves additional licensing fees.
Have a look here: http://assure.ly/etkFNU, at the features that are available depending on whether the user has Acrobat or Reader; if the form is Reader Enabled; and how the form was Reader Enabled.
The issue of Reader Enabling would also apply to AcroForms.
I don't think that you need to dive into LC Designer just yet, as forms created in LC Designer face the same issues about Reader Enabling as forms developed in Acrobat.
If your usage complies with the EULA, then you could Reader Enable your form in Acrobat.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • How can I delete printed job list Delete jobs grayed

How can I delete printed job list Delete jobs grayed

Apple lets you see a list of what is printed out but there is no way to erase the list and mine is two years of all that printed out. I want to erase it but there is no place to get rid of the list or the items on it. Epson said it was an Apple problem. Apple doesn't seem to know the answer. You can only delete jobs when it is not grayed out and it is usually for those you have not printed . I am hoping someone can figure it out.

  • Cannot cancel print job on network B9180

I have a B9180 network connected printer with an IP number. A print job is registered and cannot be printed or cancelled from the computer that created the job. I have cancelled the job on the printer using the X button because it would not cancel from the computer.. The computer has been restarted, but the print job is still registered in the printer cue (Vista 64) for the printer.  I can select the job and select cancel, the printer says it is cancelling, but does not complete the cancel.
I cannot print any new jobs due to the bad job shown in the cue.
Can someone tell me how can I cancel the bad print job and clear the cue on the computer? I have tried everything I know.
    Thanks

    Please go through instructions carefully:
    Ist Method:
    a) Open your computer and go to printer (control pannl (your printer))
    b) Double click printer icon. It lists all the print jobs.
    c) Right click your que job>choose 'Delete' or 'Cancle'
    2nd Method:
    a) Go to spool folder eg: C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS (in most cases)
    b) select all jobs which are in que.... and simply delete them.
    Thanks !!

  • Cannot cancel print jobs from queue in Windows

We have some print jobs we sent to the Bonjour printer when we were off network, they still show in the windows queue, but we cannot cancel them, any suggestions?
    Matt

Short of removing Bonjour, then reloading it, not much. Presuming you're using Windows, have you tried deleting them, then turning off the computer, then turning it back on? Sometimes that does it.

  • Cannot Cancel Print Job!!!

Hi, I have tried everything, disconneting everything, but nothing works, the program apparently does not work, the normal way to just delete a job is not working, have hp deskjet f2210, and it will not cancel the print job no matter what I do! Any ideas? Thank you in advance for reading and trying to help me!

Oh yes, don't you just love having to reboot your PC to clear up the print queue?  Well, I don't and have been using a little freeware app called "Stalled Printer Repair".  Google will find it for you.  I don't even think it needs to be installed.  You just run it.  I have found that it almost always cleans things up without having to kill processes and reboot.  Nice!

    Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the jobs inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the documents have been removed.

  • I need to know how to delete print jobs I don't want to

I have multiple print jobs that I no longer need to finish and I don't know how to delete them because when I cut it off it picks right back up where I left off and costing me too much paper

    Hi,
I think you need to remove the queue. For Windows, please try:
hold down the Windows key and press R.
from the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.
if the machine asks for Admin you have to accept this,
look down to the print spooler service, right click it and select properties
        click on the Stop button,
        browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\printers
delete the job inside this folder
        reboot the machine
    Regards.

  • Deleting print jobs when finished

I use Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, fully updated. When I create a pdf-file, the job of course is shown in the list of jobs for the "Adobe PDF"-printer. Upon completion, the job should be removed from the list - but it doesn't. I have no problems creating the pdf's - that goes like a charm. So its more a cosmetic problem than anything else.
I've tried deleting the PDF-printer, updating, reparing, un- and reinstalling - but nothing seems to help.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks,
    Lars

  • Delete print job

After trying to print a file from internet the printer gets stuck and it is not possible to cancel  the print job.
It can be cancelled only by disconnecting the USB cable.
If I copy the file to WORD then there is no printing problem.
    Thanks,  Bezalel

    Hi,
You may give the HP Print and Scan Doctor a try by selecting Fix Printing, it should automatically clear any item within the print queue:

  • My iMac cannot send print jobs to my new epson WF-7010.

It is connected to the computer through a USB port. I get a message: On Hold(Authorization required). I have administrative access to the computer, I have a laptop with 10.7 that can print to it.  So the Epson does in fact work, just not on my iMac. I've changed usb cables, and usb ports. Following Epson tech support assistance, I've uninstalled, re-installed, and repeated this multiple times.  I've unistalled and removed leftover files from the library/printers folder and then re-installed the driver. I can update firmware, do a nozzle check from the driver utility, but just not send print jobs.  Any suggestions on where else one might look?
    Thanks.
    - R

If it prints everything too light then it's an issue with the printer and not iPhoto. I'd be asking Epson support.
