Cannot disable SunMC processes between reboots
I am running SunMC 3.6 server on a very slow host with inadequate RAM. When I am rebooting the host constantly to do patch interactions, maintenance, etc., the product always comes up in multi-user mode. This is unwanted since it takes a long time to initialize the SunMC environment. Its resources competes with the maintenance commands. I end up running the "es-stop -A" command to stop them each time. When I am finally through, I run "es-start -A" to start them back up for the last time.
Why are the SunMC processes started up automatically with the next reboot if the processes for "*sunmc*" are all set to disabled? Are there other SMF scripts that start up the SunMC at reboot? Are there legacy scripts that start them up?
How do I temporary disable "sunmc" processes so they do not come up automatically with reboots?
I do appreciate the fact that this elegant product can run an Oracle database with performance accounting on a Sun Blade 100 and still monitor so many Solaris SparcV9 servers.
Well, sounds like a network problem. I can get into
iTMS just dandy, so I don't suspect an iTunes server
problem.
That might depend on how the servers are organized, are they geographic? I'd be surprised if Canadian customers weren't routed to a different server.
Report it to your cable provider. If you can connect
sometimes, your PC and the software are set up OK.
I'd say there's nothing to report to my cable provider, many other Internet services are running fast and with no problems (various browsers, Skype, MSN). 55ms average ping to Apple.com. 53ms to Apple.ca and iTunes.ca. Connection to many other sites is fast.
The cNet bandwidth test reports 500.6 kBps, which is what my ISP has my connection throttled to.
But even when I can sign on to iTunes the site is painfully slow in response.
So I don't think there's any problem with my internet connection.
I forget if you told me your PC is malware free?
That's the only other thing I can think of.
I have a variety of security software, and the last full spyware scan was today. Hopefully I don't have hidden malware installed surreptitiously by a music CD from a disreputable music company. But I'm thinking by now my security software (NOD32, Spysweeper, MS Anti-spyware, ZoneAlarm) would have cleaned that out.
Good luck!
Thanks!

Target BPEL process manager runs under SOA 10.1.3.3. When the SSO to BPELConsole is disabled, the deployment works just fine. Is there any way to make it work with SSO?Please check:

We had some issues with SSO and SSL but everything is running now.

Random problem with Workstation Manager authentication between reboots
I'm seeing some strange behavior with my XP SP2 workstations running the
ZfD 6.5 SP2 management agent (servers are Netware 6.5 OES SP5). All
workstations are local to the preferred server (same subnet and edir
partition) using the Netware Client 4.91 SP2 so no middle tier server
is configured. Preferred server is being delivered via DHCP option 85,
etc.
By looking through the WM.log file, I've been able to narrow the
problem down to one major symptom: After starting a workstation, it may
or may not successfully authenticate to eDirectory. The workstations
are imported into the tree with valid objects and if the workstation
authenticates, all is well -- I can remote control it, all applications
come down, policies, etc. If the workstation does not authenticate,
when I try to remote control it using Console One, I get the 1456 error
(which, by searching the forums, seems to be happening to more than a
couple people here including this thread -
http://www.ndsengineers.com/showthread.php?t=226904) and there are
usually issues with some policies or applications not coming down.
If authentication fails, it will never authenticate no matter how long
the machine stays up. If you reboot the workstation, it may or may not
authenticate. If it does not, you have to reboot it again, cross your
fingers, and hope it authenticates. If it does authenticate,
everything works perfectly. I can remote control it, all policies are
delivered, workstation associated applications are delivered, etc.
It may be important to note that I never have issues with users
authenticating. That works fine each and every time, even if the user
is logging in on a workstation that is in the un-authenticated state.
The part that baffles me is that this will happen in a seemingly random
fashion. For example, I can take a freshly imaged and imported
workstation and let it sit at a login prompt. I can see if it
authenticates or not by looking at the server console monitor screen
(or I can attempt to remote control it.) Without logging in, I will
restart it. About one minute later, it will be back at the login
screen. At this point, it may or may not be authenticated. I can
reboot it again and it may or may not authenticate. I can't determine
a pattern or a reason for this randomness. Between these reboots, I
touch absolutely nothing on the server. What would cause such
inconsistencies between reboots when nothing else is changing?
Below is some excerpts of the WM.log file that shows the machine in
both it's authenticated and not authenticated states.
I'm running out of patience with this problem (or bug) -- it's been
beating me up for over two weeks now! Thanks in advance to you folks
for any and all help!!

No real new developments yet. I'm planning on doing some more
troubleshooting the rest of this week. I have some "long-shot"
theories but I'm not too optimistic that they'll amount to any real
solutions. Please be sure to keep this thread posted if you have any
developments and I'll be sure and do the same thing.
Thanks!

I cannot disable DHCP on a Cisco Secure ACS. I am consoled into the device and run "set ip", choose "yes" for static IP and enter my IP information. However, after save, network test, etc... DHCP is still enabled and grabs an address on reboot. Anyone seen this or have ideas???
Hi, I had a similar problem on the Appliance (Ver 4.00). After the initial configuration I had to reboot and then re-enter both the IP and hostname. You also have to make sure that when you set up initially that the device is connected to the network. The re-entering the IP address was a TAC recommendation. Hope this helps.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to Restore the device...
1) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
2) If necessary Place the Device into Recovery mode...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Note on Recovery Mode.
You may need to try this More than Once...
Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Once you have Recovered your Device...
Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most recent Backup...

Pressing on off button at top takes a screenshot. No other buttons are pressed and I cannot turn off or even reboot the iPhone.
The home button will often do nothing or sometimes brings up Siri with a quick click Instead of the prolonged click and hold you normally need for Siri.
I've tried rebooting, resetting user data, and restoring the iPhone, with no change.
You think it's fixed itself but an hour later it will start doing the same thing again.
This happens a dozen or so times a day.
The only thing that will unlock the phone is waiting somewhere between one and five minutes at which point it will simply resolve itself for a while.
It doesn't seem to be associated with any one particular application. It can happen with any application.Diesel, as I'd mentioned in my first post I'd tried that, although only from backup. I thought it fixed the problem but then it reappeared.
Interestingly enough, (and I don't normally condone tapping on a device), my friend gave it a good tap, this morning, and it started working instantly. Coinsidence? I didn't know. It's locked up numerous times since then during the day today, and I've tried his tapping technique again and it's worked every time. Now I don't know what to think. I didn't think there were any parts inside that would be effected by tapping it but this doesn't give me a warm feeling about the hardware inside. -
the back button no longer works. I have disabled all add-ons,rebooted & reset the defaults for the browser and nothing has changed. This happens on all webpages.How do I get the back button to light up again?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
*https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
*Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Hello, In Lion 10.7.x I cannot disable the Lock documents for 2 weeks in Time Machine! Thus it prevents to change anything else like the system preferences or other settings. All is locked. How I can disable it?
Do you mean the check box isn't enabled?
Or you remove the check but it doesn't "stick"?
Or you remove the box but documents are stil getting locked?
That setting doesn't apply to other things in System Preferences, just apps that support AutoSave and Versions. If you're having a problem with System Prefs, please clarify exactly what. -
I'm running Vista for operating system on an HP laptop that's about 2 years old. I've installed all current updates.
I've always used Firefox. It started crashing and creating processes but not launching. Went to support and scoped it out -- there was a lock file my profile directory. I deleted it, and Firefox started loading.
Used it a few times -- closed the app each time on exist as per suggestions on support site info. One time -- back to square one, wouldn't load, just created a process. Reboot, ending process, checking for lock file, reinstalling -- all unsucessful.Brian
Below is from using a SIP build. It does offer G722, but it's way down on the list so it's never used...
m=audio 32678 RTP/AVP 0 8 18 102 9 116 101
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
a=rtpmap:8 PCMA/8000
a=rtpmap:18 G729/8000
a=fmtp:18 annexb=no
a=rtpmap:102 L16/16000
a=rtpmap:9 G722/8000
a=rtpmap:116 iLBC/8000
a=fmtp:116 mode=20
a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000
Taking Sreekanth's suggestion to try a Skinny build, I get the following when I make a call. It offers codecs in the order I SET THEM AND ONLY THE CODECS I SET! YAY!
m=audio 19374 RTP/AVP 9 0 101
a=rtpmap:9 G722/8000
a=fmtp:9 bitrate=64
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000
a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000
Using a Skinny build on the phones also solved other issues. The phones use G711 when the whole path supports G711 and G722 when the whole path supports G722. It doesn't always use G722 and rely on transcoding for the call paths that can't use it. It's fantastic.. The phones also receive the QoS tagging that I set and that seems to result in better audio quality than on the SIP builds, which never did get those settings. Finally, it even solved a slow Exchange 2013 answer issue I have been experiencing for quite some time. I practically fell out of my chair when I saw everything that was fixed just by switching...
Cisco, PLEASE FIX YOUR SIP BUILDS! It's insane how the SCCP builds work perfectly and the SIP builds don't, especially with how much these phones cost.. I was thinking of possibly acquiring some 9951s, which are SIP only. I'm a little leery about that at this point. If they have the same kinds of issues as the SIP builds for the 7975g, there's no SCCP alternative to use..
Sreekanth
Thank you for suggesting a Skinny build.. That was about the only thing I didn't try. I am happy beyond belief that this is working so well now, even though the SIP builds should be just as well developed as the SCCP ones. -
Cannot open GP process task in universal worklist.
Hi all,
I cannot open GP process task in universal worklist.It says:"Could not retrieve process instance: contact your system administrator".But i can open the task in Runtime task.
i configure the universal worklist by following this link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/43/ef06a7860c7061e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
I also create a simple GuidedProceduresConnector and doesn't change the xml file,but it doesn't work,either.
our portal is SP11.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you~!
Best regards
delmaHello Delma,
Check out SAP note 1104652. It discusses some changes for the uwl configuration file. I just did this on a local installation of CE and used the following XML for my GP actions. I just uploaded a paper on this - it should be on SDN within a couple of days and I can get you the link.
The trick is that the name of your GP alias in UWL administration must be included in the XML. The note explains this and there is an example to download. Also, in my example the iView for the portal content to start the GP had to be changed - but that could be due to my local installation.
Check out this note and this XML and let me know if it helps.
Best regards
Ginger

I cannot disable the full keyboard navigation
Hello I have quite a problem.
As it says above, I cannot disable the full keyboard navigation option, whenever I try to, it re-activates itself in the preferences, even if I just change tabs and return within the preferences.
Furthermore, the keys seem to activate oddly, as I do not know of any shortcuts bound to the S key (JUST the s key), which commonly causes Itunes to skip forward a track in whatever playlist I am playing.
I have tried changing the other preferences, and I can change them with no difficulties, it is just the Keyboard navigation that is giving me problems.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.On second thought... The help article cor-el linked mentions that Firefox may prompt you every time if the file is sent with the disposition:attachment header, i.e., forced save. You can bypass that problem (change disposition:attachment to disposition:inline) using the Inline Disposition extension. It has been around for a while, but I haven't tried it myself: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/inlinedisposition/]. Maybe that's what you need for Gmail.

How to catch rollback in Disable user process task in Xellerat User Process
hi ...
I want to send an email to manager group of the user, once the user is disabled from the OIM (when end date is reached). I created an adapter and attached it to the ‘Changed User Disabled’ process task in the ‘xellerate user provisioning’ process and add a new row in the “Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS” Lookup definition. (code key: USR_DISABLED and Decode: Change User Disabled ). This adapter executes only when the user status is equal to “disabled”.
This works correctly when the OIM user disabling process execute without any errors. But sometimes while disabling the user it gives an error (“resource is not configured properly”) and rolls back everything and make the user active. But at the same time my adapter runs and sends the mail informing user is disabled but yet user is active.
My problem is how can I find or catch rolls back transaction in the “Disable User” process task (which is in “Xellerate User” process”) ??? If I can get to know that a roll back is occurred then I can send a mail to OIM administrator, informing that user disable process is failed.
Can someone please help me to find this..
Thanks in advance :)
Regards,
i.k.Hi Rajiv,
Error occurs while disabling the user due to resource configuration problems. ( error message is : DOBJ.RESOURCE_NOTCONFIGURED_PROPERLY -- One or more provisioned resource is not configured properly) In this case i know the problem and how to solve it. But what I want to know is in any case if disable process get fail and if things get roll back again, then how can I track that situation and send a mail to OIM Admin(informing the failure) instead of sending a mail to user managers saying that user account has been disabled.
I think now my problem is clear…. Can u please help me to find this.

Hi,
I am getting "java.sql.SQLException: Cannot disable AUTO_COMMIT" exception when using mySQL
with Weblogic 5.1 EJB (through org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver JDBC driver).Hi. I'd have to see the whole stack trace to know for sure, but it looks like the
DBMS/driver you're using doesn't implement the transactional calls/behavior that
are required for managing EJB transactions. If you can write a small standalone
java program that just gets a JDBC connection to your database, then calls setAutoCommit(false),
then does a few updates, then calls Conenction.commit(), then there may be a weblogic problem,
but if your simple program gets the same error, you need a transactionally capable DBMS.

Hi All,
When I started admin server I was told the SOAdatasource (one of the datasources usual for SOA), global transaction protocol should be modified from 'one-phase Commit' to either 'Logging Last Resource'' or 'Emulate Two-Phase Commit'.SO I just went to below screen and changed (Supports Global Transactions checkbioc is already checked when I went there) radio box option from 'one-phase commit' to 'Logging Last Resource'
After I changed ,I clicked on save button on the same page.I got the message like 'your property got changed,but one item restart is neccessary' .I thought I need to restart the server.
So I again restarted the admin server and After that when I am started the SOA server, I am getting below error:
Jan 20, 2014 1:27:16 PM BRST> <Warning> <JTA> <BEA-110486> <Transaction BEA1-2CC7F743D067E50C6CCB cannot complete commit processing because resource [SOADataSource_soa_domain] is unavailabl
e. The transaction will be abandoned after 78,780 seconds unless all resources acknowledge the commit decision.>
<Jan 20, 2014 1:28:16 PM BRST> <Warning> <JTA> <BEA-110486> <Transaction BEA1-2CC7F743D067E50C6CCB cannot complete commit processing because resource [SOADataSource_soa_domain] is unavailabl
e. The transaction will be abandoned after 78,720 seconds unless all resources acknowledge the commit decision.>
I also tried to change that option to Emulate Two-Phase Commit.It is the same error I am geting for that option also.
I don't have any idea why it is happening.I think that error indiactes that the saved property info is not reached to other components in the same server.
In this same oracle forums, somebody told the below process :
1_ Stop your server.
2. Go to [your domain]\servers\AdminServer\data\store\default.
3. WLSADMINSERVER_[random number].DAT
4. Restart server
I did the samething ,but it is still showing same error.
Please guide me how to resolve this issue.I think there is some problem with what to restart after I change the option of transaction protocol.
Please help me out in this issueHi:
try placing the jars that represent ur driver, here
For both Windows and Linux, you must perform the following steps:
Drop the vendor-specific driver JAR files to the user_projects/domains/soainfra/lib directory.
Drop the vendor-specific driver JAR files to the <Weblogic_Home>/server/lib.
Edit the classpath to include the vendor-specific jar file in <Weblogic_HOME>/common/bin/commEnv.sh
This info was copied, from here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_db.htm#CHDBEJDC
Hope this helps

Netting process between company codes
Hi Gurus,
How do i configure a Netting process between company codes when they trade with each other.
Please advise,
Thanks,
TembaHello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.
Thanks,
Ravi
