Cannot distribute secured form.

Hi Everyone,
Using Livecycle Designer ES2 9, with Acrobat Pro 10.0.3. Standalone implementation.
When attempting to distribute a secured form, Acrobat displays "Acrobat is unable to distribute this form because of the form's security settings."
The form distibutes and functions perfectly without security, but we require the code to be secured. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Ron

  • Cannot Distribute PDF Form to Email

I've created a form and have everything set. Then I go to "Distribute Form" and enter the email address and other pertinent info of who will receive completed form... It then will not advance to the next dialog box to actually get the form functioning to be able to "Submit." Any all help with the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Okay I just found the answer that  worked for me on another post and it is pasted below: Now I did select remember my selection but then I unselected it and it still fixed what ever was wrong with the issue.

    Re: Cannot distribute form
OK - I figured it out but not sure why it works. Picking Distribute Form and having it automatically remember my selection is where it fouls up. When that screen opens (see my screencap) I pick my method again and it restarts the wizard and it works.

  • Users cannot save Acrobat forms

I've run into a stumbing block with Acrobat 8 Pro and forms.
I have a PDF to which form fields have been added, and in one area, even tallies price totals (it is an advertising contract). Dates format correctly, all works fine. If I send the finished form to another computer running Acrobat Pro (either 7 or 8), I can enter all fields, and save the form. But, if I send it to a user who only has Acrobat Reader, they can enter text in the fields, but cannot save the form. Right now, I have no security or access permissions on the form at all.
Basically, I want the form to work like the tax forms available on the IRS site--that a user can download it, enter the text, save it for their records, and either be able to e-mail it back to us, or to print and fax it.
Is there anything else I need to do?

I would use the DISTRIBUTE option under the FORMS menu since it not only
Reader Enables the PDF but also prepares a response file for collecting
the data. One very, very cool thing - Acrobat 9 can now also collect all
forms responses via Acrobat.com so you can log-in, filter the data,
export to XML / CSV and keep everything in the acrobat.com cloud

  • Help needed in distributing the form

    Hello All ,
I have a LiveCycle form which has 6-8 Pages. The completed document needs to be protected after distributing so that it cannot be reproduced, but allow us to add, change, edit delete contents as required and especially to populate what is now marked as protected. How to do this in the best way. One thing I have very less idea about distributing a form. Can anybody please help regarding this ?
    Thanks.
    Bibhu.

You can use JavaScript to protect all form fields.
Bundled with a password you can design a workflow wich allows you to remove the rotection when needed.
    Here's an example:

  • How to distribute a form with multiple submit buttons?

I have a form that has multiple submit buttons depending on the information that is being entered and then who the information should go to.  When I try to disbribute the form, I get an error message stating the following, "Acrobat is unable to distribute this form because it contains multiple submit buttons with different formats or return URLs."  Is anyone able to let me know how I can distribute the form?

Sounds as if you need your own web script to process submissions - written by an experienced web programmer (I very strongly recommend someone familiar with all the latest security weaknesses, and not a project for anyone else). Your needs are (it seems to me) too complex for Adobe's automatic system.

    Hello,
Is your InfoPath form is fully trusted. Please check once. You can set this to true from "Security and Trust" option.

  • Just distributed 130 forms - and no one can access server

I just distributed 130 forms and am getting calls that they cannot access the Adobe.com server. I get this internal server error.
People who are signing up for new accounts are getting this error:
When I go to the support portal or the Chat section -- it is either busy or won't work.
    I just hope this posts!
What should I do - -now that I have irritated 130 users who have not used adobe acrobat.com ever -- and think it is difficult to work with.

    Hi,
Can you and your recipients try accessing the site again today, please, and let us know if it works now? Acrobat.com had some upgrades yesterday (Saturday) that may have affected your ability to sign in.
You can check the status of Acrobat.com services at any time by visiting http://health.acrobat.com.

  • Sharepoint 2010, InfoPath 2010 with Custom Workflow. Error Message: InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while form was submitted...

I have created an InfoPath form that submits to a Sharepoint library with custom workflow attached. The workflow is initiated when the user submits the form. An email is sent to the supervisor who clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and approved
the form via the emailed form. Then, based on certain criteria the form is either emailed to the VP or the workflow is complete. The VP is sent an email and clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and sumbits the form via the emailed form. This is
how I would like it to work. The reality is, the form submits and is emailed to the supervisor and the supervisor is able to approve but when the form is sumbitted I get an error. The error is "InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while
this form was being submitted. The form cannot be submitted to the following location: <URL> The file <URL> is checked out for editing by <me> The operation completed successfully." The operation did not complete successfully and it
is not checked out. I have read in previous posts that the file is locked. Since I am in the testing faze of the project there is no one else using the form. I have waited 24 hours and the lock has not been released. Please help!!! My deadline is growing short.

I ran into your post while having a similar issue.  I don't have a 'full' fix for you, but I noticed at least in our case if you made sure you opened the Infopath form through the browser instead of the client Infopath program (use the drop-down menu
and open in browser) the error doesn't occur.  Hope that helps some....

I have created a form in Livecycle Designer ES.  Why can I not distribute the form when opened in Acrobat Pro 9.

You should be able to from the Forms menu.
    I can't do a screenshot now but this should help: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Professional/WSE8580964-0716-4452-BA8D-EA9AAD3F609 1.html.

  • Adobe Acrobat form created and emailed but recipient cannot save the form in reader after filling it out

When I purchased Acrobat today, the Adobe sales rep told me I could create fill-in forms that I could email to others, who could fill them out using Adobe Reader.  When the recipient tried to save the completed form, he was unable to save it to his computer, only able to print.  Is this correct, or is there a step we are unaware of?  He owns Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, but I'm using Acrobat 11 (purchased it today).  Acrobat Pro 9 cannot open the forms I sent...  now we are stuck.
    Solutions?

    Hi DMOliver,
Please try saving the form as 'Reader Extended' and check.
    Regards,
    Rave

  • I am currently using FormsCentral to distribute a form created in Acrobat. I need to add an option to one of the drop down fields but do not want to re-distribute the form due to reporting purposes. How can I do this?

I am currently using FormsCentral to distribute a form created in Acrobat. I need to add an option to one of the drop down fields but do not want to re-distribute the form due to reporting purposes. How can I do this?

You can open the form in Acrobat, select "File > Save a Copy", open the copy you just saved (it doesn't happen automatically), edit the dropdown to add the new item, save as a new file, and then Reader-enable the file by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools. The resulting PDF should work with FormsCentral just like the original.

  • Hide password and user name fields in secure form on landing page

On a landing page I don't want the password or user name displayed in the "secure" form because I think it will keep people from downloading our e-book. It will cause what some refer to as too much friction—visitors will feel that we are asking too much of them just to download an e-book so won't do it.
I found somewhere where the user name can be populated with the e-mail address, although I couldn't figure out where to put the code to make it work.
Can the password fields also be auto-populated and hidden so the user can access the secure zone to download the e-book never even knowing that they had a user name and password assigned to them?
I'd really appreciate some help here and please keep in mind that html and css is where my expertise stops so if there is a java solution I will need the code and how and where to add it.
    Many thanks for your help.
    John
