Cannot downgrade icloud storage

I don't have iPhones anymore - just one old 3GS. I have an email that they are going to charge me $20 for my storage plan. I go to the iCloud panel and select downgrade, but I can't complete it on either the iCloud panel on PC or through the phone. The "done" button is greyed out!
Argh! Help!

No the padlock is just indicating a secure browser connection ... but it looks like I will be donwngraded anyway, even though I couldn't select "done." When I signed back in, this is what I saw:

Cannot edit iCloud storage credit card

I need to update the credit card info used to pay for my iCloud Storage and when I go in System Pref>iCloud>Manage>View Account I log in and can see the credit card info but when I try and edit it and save I get an error saying my session timed out This is impossible since I'm doing it as quickly as humanly possible. There is also a red note at the top of the window saying "Your account has been accessed from a new computer or device, and you must verify your payment info ration before you can make purchases."
We have numerous devices using this Apple ID and credit card so I don't know what "new device" they are talking about but they are still charging the old card for the Storage fee and the card is no longer valid! How else am I supposed to "verify my payment information" if they won't let you edit the card info in the system??? Totally frustrating.

NEVERMIND - I was finally able to do this by changing it in the iTunes Store. I have no idea why they have an Edit field in the iCloud management if they don't allow you to change it...
Anyway it's fixed!

Cannot complete iCloud storage purchase

I have upgraded OS X Yosemite yesterday and trying to purchase necessary extra iCloud storage. However, when I enter my password it goes to complete purchase then returns to window asking me for password. I have just changed my password in case this would help but still doesn't work. Am now completely confused with Apple passwords and with Photos. Any suggestions?

Apple automatically upgraded my icloud to 20gb plan after me.com closed. Tried to downgrade to 5gb but it doesn't allow me to save selection. It also says existing plan's expiration date is 9/30/50. Advice on how to remedy?

You didn't need to do anything. People on the free extended storage as a result of migrating from MobileMe will continue to have it until 30 September 2013 at which point the account will downgrade to 5GB. If you want to retain the extra storage you need to cancel the downgrade: you will then be charged on 1 October 2013.

Downgrading iCloud storage greyed out

in anticipation for Apple's new 'Photos' app, I'm paying for a 200GB storage plan. as this is now delayed, i'd like to downgrade to the 20GB plan until i need the extra space. currently using only 7GB, so the 5GB option is out - fine - but the 20GB plan is greyed out so i can't select it (see image).
any ideas?

I have this question too. iPhone says to contact Apple to change your plan but they don't tell you where or how to do that.

Can't downgrade iCloud storage plan

Can't downgrade my wife's plan. Says I still have the 20G plan but we don't need it. Can't select free plan. Tried restarting and have read several articles.

Don't know if it will help or not, but try resetting your phone (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release), then try downgrading again.

I cannot downgrade my icloud storage plan

I am using under 1mg storage and wish to downgrade my 20mg plan to 5mg. When I go to settings and select the 5mg plan the "done" field won't light up so I cannot select that plan.

If your issues is still not resovled after following these steps, there is a link to the iCloud Support team. I have 2 Apple accts. the one that I use the least, evidently I upgraded last year. Now I want to downgrade that account. I cannot seem to get to the place to downgrade, each time I try I seem to wind up back on the other acct, even tho I have logged in under the acct I need to change. I am getting very frustrated. Anyone understand? Do I just need to delete the account?

Log into appleid.apple.com and verify that both the email addresses you use do not show up there in the same account. My worry is that you might be mistaking a login alias ([email protected]) as a separate account which it might be one in the same. Either way, if you are having issues downgrading your storage you will need to contact Apple for more assistance.

I tried this, a couple of times. On my iphone it basicly does noting after I press downgrade. ON my OSx the screen is locked and I cannot confirm the downgrade.
This after such a nice mail send that the extra 10GB will have to be paid again and I can downgrade (using only 3 of 15 GB)
Please inform me how to downgrade to the free storageplan of 5 GB.

If you have given correct info about you ios 6.1.3 - all you need to do is delete account. You will be able to sign in with new one afterwards. Make sure you don't delete any info when you see those prompts.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

How can I REALLY downgrade my iCloud storage? Apple is trying to scam ppl out of $$. They will NOT allow you to downgrade per their instructions. It ALWAYS says the iCloud manager is not available, try later. Here is what my email says:
This is a reminder that on 03/03/2015 you will be charged $10.99 for your 20 GB storage plan using your Visa •••• (deleted). If you do not wish to be charged, you can cancel by downgrading to the free storage plan from your iOS device, Mac or PC.

I'm so disappointed that all my products are currently Apple and now I down't trust them as far as I can throw them. There is already a class action suit in Florida for the icon taking up 23% of users' available space, now they are trying to charge me $$ yearly when I do NOT need the space? Shame, Apple.. No... the "done" button will not light up, and it says the iCloud manager is "not available at this time. Try again later." This is a known problem... fix it.

Thank you Roger! Going into my iTunes at least allowed me to delete my credit card info so they can't charge it. In the meantime, after 2 calls I finally got connected to a Senior Advisor from Apple who was able to manually go into my account and remove the automatic charge to my credit card. After sharing my screen, she was able to see the issue many others are having being unable to downgrade. There is a bug in the system that tells you the manage storage is "unavailable at this time". She followed me through several of these threads and realized it is actually an issue. She took all the relevant information and will submit a bug fix request. She even admitted that goal and apple were having an issue syncing to the correct time zone at that there was no know fix at this time. While frustrating, the honesty was refreshing.
Thank you SO much for you quick response on this! My apologies for my tone; this was my first time using this forum. I went through Apple support and didn't realize that there are no Apple employees on here. I was on the line with someone from customer service that wasn't as helpful at the time and was very frustrated..
Thanks again for your help! To all others having this problem, keep calling Apple tech support until you get a Senior Advisor - they will help!! The advisor even told me to tell people to call in and that they need to manually downgrade on their end until they get this issue resolved.

How to downgrade my icloud storage if I no long have that device

HI I received an email telling me I will be charged for my icloud storage in the 13th but I no longer have my iPhone or downgrade this storage plan.
ANy ideas how to stop them taking this money from my account. I can't get any telephone numbers to call and have spent hours trying to solve this online.

My iphone 4s keeps saying it does not have enough icloud storage and cannot be backed up. When I go to icloud storage and backup, it says that I have 5.0 GB of total storage and 5.0 GB of available storage.

When I go to icloud Storage & Backup in my settings, it says that I have 5.0 GB total and 5.0 GB available. The only thing I have selected, at this point, to be backed up are my contacts and the Find My iPhone app. Why does it always say I have no icloud storage available when I have ALL of the icloud storage available?!

It says that my next backup size is 7.3 GB, but I have no idea why, because the only thing selected is the Find iPhone app, which takes up 0.2 KB...How do I get rid of whatever it THINKS it's backing up?
