Cannot download a song showing in iCloud

Previously, on another Mac, I imported a song to my iTunes library, and this was then sent to iTunes in the Cloud, where it shows on my iMac library and other iOS devices.
When I try to download, I receive the following message: "Thhis item cannot be downloaded. The item you have requested is not available for download."
Since I imported this into a library that is shared with iCloud, how can I download this song?

Delete the songs from iTunes and move files to desktop, and then Add to the Library.

  • HT204406 i cannot download a song from iCloud. How can I solve this issue?

Strangely, some songs that are stored on iCloud cannot be downloaded on my devices (Mac and iPhone) although other songs which are in the same purchased album work fine. Any idea?
For example, I cannot download the song "Absolute Beginners" from the "Best of Bowie" album - I've purchased this album on iTunes in 2007 - although the other songs from the same album can be downloaded without problems. I have the same problem for other songs purchased on iTunes as well.
    Am I the only one?

When you delete the local track are you removing the original and the listing from iTunes.

I just updated to itunes 10.3 & iOS 6.1 and I cannot download a song to my library! I get the error "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on the computer with just one apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 75 days." WHAT??
I've never had problems before - my husband and I have used the same library for years.  My daughter also has her own Apple ID... are we going to have trouble with that, too?  Actually we have 4 Apple IDs - somewhere around 8 Apple devices... this is a huge issue for us... HELP

Just to be clear - I just bought a new song and can't download it into the library because of this error message.

  • I cannot download specific songs onto my iPhone through iCloud?

I recently swapped my old iPhone 4 (that was a tad bit glitchy) for a new iPhone 4 (that's a lot glitchy). I had to restore from a previous backup, and also had to download the music I wanted on it using iMatch and iCloud. 99.9% of the songs I want download, but there are 2 songs in particular that get stuck and will not download. It seems like they start downloading fine, but when it's time for the iPhone to process it and keep it, it resets and starts downloading again. It does this about 5 times and then gives up and says that the song cannot be downloaded at this time.
I have literally tried everything. I've restored the iPhone back to factory settings and then restored from a backup again. I've restarted the iPhone and tried downloading that song again. I've tried restoring it from a different backup. None of these have worked. And what's even weirder is that it's a song that I purchased from the iTunes store directly on my iPhone.  What's even weirder is that I can play the song the full way through, but after the song is done, it will not show as downloaded.
    Here's a screenshot of what's happening:
It gets to that point (in the screen shot above) and then resets and tries to download the song again. It keep doing this for about 5 more times and then gives the error message above. It's very frustrating not to be able to have a full album download because of one song.
    Please help!

  • HT4759 I cannot download anything on to my iCloud storage and there is lots of gb available.btrying to downloads films from itunes

I cannot download an iTunes films on to my iCloud and there is plenty of gb space? This is the first time I'm using the iCloud storage tha I've purchased

You can't upload films to iCloud no matter how much storage you have: it doesn't provide general file storage in the manner of Dropbox or the defunct MobileMe iDisk. Its storage space is specifically for email, iWork 'Documents in the Cloud' and iOS backups.
'iTunes in the Cloud' has nothing to do with iCloud and I wish Apple would stop suggesting they're related - they aren't. Songs you purchase on one device from iCloud can in most cases be downloaded again to other devices; and 'iTunes Match' will match or enable you to upload songs your've taken from CDs or obtained elsewhere. However purchased films can't be download in this way because of rights restrictions by the distributors: a puruchased film can only be played from the device it was purchased on (directly or through an Apple TV).

  • Er=3259 -- Cannot download a song from iTunes store that is paid for

There is one song (The Bear Necesseties)that is on the Walt Disney Archive Collection Vol.1 album that will not download. It is a 2.3MB song, but the download always gets stopped after 1MB is downloaded. It shows "stopped ER=.3259", then times out. How can I get this song to complete this album purchase??? It looks to be a defective file?

  • ITunes Sync issues: I cannot download purchased songs & the sync never finishes

Songs that are listed as Purchased in my iTunes Store account are listed in grey in iTunes on my iMac and I cannot download them again.
Also, and maybe related, since upgrading to iOS5, the iTunes sync between my desktop and iPhone 4 never ends -- it hangs on the last step, "waiting for items to copy."
Any ideas on how to resolve these problems?
What's going with Apple these days? Lots of bugs and issues. Too bad.
    Thanks!

Anyone having this problem and have mcafee click on the start button type services.msc find mcaffee rediractor right click and stop works like a charm

  • Cannot download shared songs to iPhone

My husband has over 2000 songs on our desktop for his ipod and I would like to copy some of them to my iphone. I turned on homesharing and mapped a drive on my laptop to the desktop itunes folder. I have been able to download the songs to my itunes but I cannot copy them to my phone. They do not transfer when I sync and I can't copy and paste them. What am I missing?

If your iPhone is not synched to the same iTunes account you will not be able to share songs. This has to do with copyright protection.

  • Cannot Download Some songs to the iPod Shuffle

I just bought a new iPod Shuffle. I have iTunes 7.0. I cannot download, or sync, or Autofill, or drag certain songs to the shuffle. I get error messages like: "Some songs cannot be copied to the device because 'the song' cannot be played on that device". So far all these songs are *.aif files. I tried converting it to AIFF but that didnt work either.
I have a regular 20G IPOD and I was able to download these songs to it. Someone please help!!!!

Thank you very much Michael. I see that in the users guide. I am dumbfounded!! AIFF is an Apple fomatted file!! How is it that an Apple device (iPod Shuffle) doesn't support its own file formats!??! OMG!! Somebody please tell me I am not crazy.
I fixed the problem by ripping the song as an MP3 file. Apparently this Apple device supports MP3 files, but not their own AIFF propietary file formats!

  • Cannot download all songs with 7.1.5

I have Itunes 7.1.5, and when I go to download some songs it says cannot download songs without 7.2 or better. But I've had problems with new versions, and there to fast for my computer. Infact the version I've got now is so fast I can't even watch my videos that I could with my older version. So what can be done about this? I wish I could down grade more, but I can't.

Here's a wild idea that I'm curious to try out on your computer:
Try reinstalling iTunes. Go to "Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs". Select "iTunes" and delete the program off your computer.
Then, download iTunes 7.0.2 again here -> iTunes 7.0.2.16 installer
Restart your computer after full installation of iTunes 7.0.2. Then, connect your iPod, and see if error (-69) appears again when syncing.

  • On my Mac, how do I recover (download) a song from iMatch/iCloud that I accidently deleted?

I was reviewing the results after iTunes Match completed it's first full sync of my desktop Mac (PPC OS10.5.8, iTunes 10.6). iTunes reported that one song wasn't matched because it was a duplicate and prompted me to delete it. I agreed, approved "delete file" option - now BOTH are gone! I want to recover the file. How do I do this? I have successfully downloaded the song from iCloud to my iPhone 4, but can't see how to do this on my Mac.

If it's a past purchase you can go to your purchased items and download it again for free on the main page of itunes.  If you already have it on your phone you should be able to import it when you sync.

  • Cannot download purchased TV show

I'm an American who moved to China at the beginning of the semester to teach at a college. I cannot watch the TV show "Lost" for free online because it's not available outside the US. I decided to splurge and get a season pass for Lost so I could enjoy it here in China. (The Lost website offers the option to let US viewers watch the most recent episode free via iTunes). But there's a problem. I get the following error dialog when I try to download the show:
There was a problem downloading "Every Man for Himself / Lost, Season 3 / Lost".
    The network connection was reset.
The error code is showing up as (err = -3253).
I'm really frustrated because I should be able to view it, but I cannot for some mysterious reason. I paid good money to be able to watch Lost. I have the most recent version of iTunes, and I was able to download previous weeks' epsiodes without a problem

  • HT1688 I have an iPhone 5 16 GB.. It keeps popping up "storage almost full." I have a lot of music, but I've had to get rid of all my apps and pictures. I now cannot download new songs either, becuase I do not have enough storage. Do I have to buy a 32gb?

My iPhone 5 is a 16GB. The storage is almost full. Is there a way to add more storage, or do I have to buy a 32GB phone? I've had to delete my pictures and apps. I also cannot download any new music, update apps, or purchase new apps.

Upgrading phones is between you and the carrier if you are wanting them to subsidize the phone. Otherwise you would have to purchase the phone at full price.
Transferring purchases from the phone to iTunes is done with the device is connected to the computer, and in iTunes selecting transfer purchases. Yes, that will yield more storage on the phone when doing that.
