No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:

5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
Download the Facebook app from the iTunes Store. Sign in with your Facebook ID and Password and you won't require flash to play videos.

Cannot download Adobe Flash Player 9

I have only recently purchased a Satellite L series notebook. I have successfully downloaded Adobe Reader but I can't seem to download Adobe Flash Player 9. Has anyone else had similar problems? Or can anyone else give guidance?

when i try to view tv programs on my 2nd generation ipod touch i'm informed that the adobe flash player is needed. when i try to download the flash player i get the error message that safari cannot download the file. what might be causing that problem and what can be done about it?

Because it's true.
Flash is only one of the many video formats available online. The iPod touch supports many open video formats (they are listed on the specifications page).
Flash is a proprietary format owned by Adobe - it is not an open standard.
You can view videos, films, music videos etc. from the iTunes Store, and also any web-site that uses the standard MP4 format. There are also 1000's of videos in the YouTube application. You can also convert your own videos and view them on the iPod touch.

I cannot download adobe flash player to my comuter

This problem has been occurring and reoccurring since November 2012, I receive a message on my desktop stating that I need to update my adobe flash player. I click to do this and am transported to the adobe flash player download site. I click the "download now" tab and receive the download instructions page. When the popup window appears I select "save file" as instructed. I am then transported to the Firefox download list where I double click the flash player install highlighted in blue. The next pop up window asks if I want to "run file". I click "run file" and nothing happens. (alternatively I get a pop up window that asks me to continue if I am the administrator and I click "continue" and nothing happens) The pop up windows previously mentioned list the source of the download as C:/users/"my name"/downloads and when I click "details" it says (sic) C:/users/"my name"/ downloads remove C:/file/users etc. Sometimes I will get a message saying file cannot be found at C:/users etc. Of course not, because the file is in firefox downloads and not in my user download file. Is there a way to fix this? The flash player is not listed under firefox plugins so I cannot disable it or change it. Incidentally, other download files for updates etc are working without issues, I did have to disable the adobe reader plug in so that I can view PDF files on other internet sites. I have Vista sP2 on Dell XPS 420 with Firfox version 18.01

Cannot download Adobe Flash Player on Equium M40X-189

I am unable to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on my Equium M40X 189.
This is needed for many applications, and has recently become absolutely essential as BBC radio now only broadcasts on the internet via BBC i-player, which I cannot use without Flash Player.
I searched for help on this problem a while back and the advice then was that the BIOS needed to be updated.
I have today checked with the official Toshiba site, and it seems my BIOS is the current version and does not need updating.
Is there anyone out there who can help me solve this problem?

Sorry - perhaps I didn't spell out the problem correctly. I have tried downloading from all sort of pages on the web, including the official Adobe site and BBC Radio. I have also taken the Adobe advice and checked that I have uninstalled all other version of Flash Player before atempting to download. The same thing always happens - the download seems to start OK, but I get to the bit where the Adobe page says something like "when you can see the movie playing in the box above the installation is complete". Trouble is the movie never plays, and the player has not been installed.

You can not download the adobe flash player for mac because mac have built in flash player. Go to the apple logo on the top left corner of the screen and go to software update and update your flash player.

Firstly, I'm not technically minded and having read some of the other posts, am having difficulty working out what they mean.....sorry Up until recently I was able to watch videos on my laptop with no problems but more recently I'm being advised to download the latest version of Adobe Flash player 11.1. I'm going through the motions of downloading, the pop-ups tell me it's installed successfully and it certainly appears on my program list. But, still, various sites are insisting I don't have it and I need to download it.....can anyone help? i have uninstalled the previous versions but this seems to have made no difference. Why should this be such a problem ? You can do it on any computer, but not on your iPhone.
Please do something about it, or I will change to android, where it is no problem at all.
I really think you are wearing "too small shoes" not having this application as a opportunity.

Change to Android if you like, because there is no reason at all to believe that this will ever happen.

Download and installation are two separate steps. The Adobe Flash '''installation''' procedure requires that Firefox be closed before installing Flash.

Where are you trying to get Flash Player from? Downloading is different from installing but many malicious websites offer to supply Flash Player as a means of installing malicious software and gathering personal information (e.g., passwords). You should get Adobe Flash only from Adobe and this link lets you download the full installer (Mac OS X (Intel) DMG) and run it locally. At that point OS X will ask for your password and if you've been using it successfully for other purposes (e.g., changing some items in System Preferences), it should work there too.
