Cannot download adobe, indicates blocked plug in

cannot play videos "block plug in" went to adobe to download latest version but doesn't finalize install, shows blocked. Says go into preferences which I did but cannot seem to "add a trusted site"

1. System Preferences > Security & Privacy
    Unlock the lock, if you have to.
    Allow apps downloaded from:
    Select “Mac App store and identified developers”.
    Quit System Preferences and try.
2. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Follow the prompts.   Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
3. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
    Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
4. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
    Press the “ Remove All Website Data” to delete cookies.

Cannot Download Adobe 8 Updater Plug-in

I have just installed Adobe Reader 8, and I am trying to download the Adobe Updater plug-in. When I click on <Help/Check for Updates>, I get the Adobe Updater box which says: <Checking for updates for Adobe Reader 8> and is quickly refreshed to: <Checking for updates for Adobe Updater> The Adobe Updater box then refreshes to read: <Downloading Update: Adobe Updater plug-in> Then it refreshes again to: <No Internet connection was found. Please check your Internet settings or firewall> But my computer IS connected to the Internet, and has been for half an hour! IE and OE appear to be functioning correctly. My Internet settings have been working fine for months with everything else, and looking at McAfee Firewall Program Permissions, I see that Adobe Reader 8 and Adobe Updater have Full Access. (Hmm, why is Adobe Updater listed, if I haven't actually downloaded it yet?)

According to Adobe's Knowledge base here's what you need to do
>Solution 1: Download the updates manually.
If you are accessing the internet from behind an authenticating proxy server, download updates manually from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ .
>Solution 2: Add crl.adobe.com to your proxy server exception list.
If you are accessing the internet from behind a non-authenticating proxy, then add crl.adobe.com to the exception list of your proxy server and ensure that port 80 is open. For more information regarding your proxy server exception list and ports, contact your network administrator.
>Solution 3: Delete the Data folder and run the updater again.
If you are accessing the internet from behind a non-authenticating proxy, then delete the Data folder from the Adobe/Updater folder and choose Help > Updates again.
The Data folder is found in the following location:
-- Mac OS: Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Updater folder
-- Windows: Document and Settings/[username]/Application Data/Adobe/Updater

When you say that you have the same problem, do you mean that you are:
1. Not able to download Adobe Reader;
2. cannot view a PDF file;
3. or what?
Please be a little more descriptive of your particular problem or, better yet, start your own thread and clearly indicate which problem(s) you're having and what you have done, thus far, to correct the problem(s).

You could try using the DNG converter 8.7 on Windows vista:

Install Flash Player in Safe Mode.
Shut down the computer.
Press the power button. Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
The Shift key should be pressed as soon as possible after startup,but not before the startup sound.
Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo on the screen. Startup will take longer than usual.
Login to your account. Launch Safari.
Enter this address in the Safari address bar manually.

Follow the prompts. Install it.
Once done, quit Safari and restart the computer from  in the menu bar.
Allow Plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
Enable it.

I cannot download Adobe Reader app using my IPod Touch 4th Generation due to iOS upgrade.

I have an IPod Touch 4th Generation (the older model) and the highest operating system stops at iOS 6.1.6. Unfortunately, when I tried to download Adobe Reader app, it only works for the newer IPod Touch 5th Generation with an operating system of iOS 7.0 or higher. My question is that since I cannot download Adobe Reader app, is there a way for me to open PDF files on my IPod Touch by using Safari? There is no way I can find an Adobe Reader app that works for my operating system or an operating system that works for iOS 6.0 or lower. Is there another program similar to Adobe Reader where I can open PDF files that works for iOS 6.0 or lower?

Please note that my instructions are intended for Adobe Reader for iOS, not for all iOS apps in general.
Adobe Reader for iOS does offer earlier compatible versions for iOS 5 and 6 via the App Store. Because the supported iOS version for Adobe Reader for iOS is 5 or later.

However, I cannot speak for other apps, such as Costco app and NFL app that you have mentioned. It is up to each individual app developer/company to decide whether to take advantage of Apple's App Store's features to offer earlier versions.
Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support
If a compatible version isn't available, you can try contacting the app developer. Look for contact information on the app's product page in the App Store or Mac App Store.

Cannot download Adobe Air on Windows 7.

I cannot download Adobe air to my computer. I consistently receive the following error message: An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator. I have tried turning off my anitvirus program although it says it is safe.

I am having the same error message upgrading Adobe AIR 3.8 to 3.9. Fully patched and up-to-date Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Windows Installer Service is verified running. Logitech proceses have been stopped. Antivirus program has been paused. That exhausts all the solutions I can find on the web! You may want to try the following.
Remove all traces of Reader (not only the program) from your system using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This is no longer supported by Microsoft because it can produce problems with Win 7, but you can still download it from from places like

Then, download the Reader installer from

and perform a clean install.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:

2. SkyFire
3. Photon Flash
4. Browse2Go
5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
Download the Facebook app from the iTunes Store. Sign in with your Facebook ID and Password and you won't require flash to play videos.
