Cannot download an app I've received via mail as a present

My sister sent me an app as a gift via the App Store but when I use the link in the mail I get directed to the App Store and nothing happens.
Am I the only one in this situation?!
Not only, I tryed to send an app as gift to her and she has the same problem :'-(

Okay, got it!
it's so simple.
Just click to Finder and "go to folder", enter /users/shared/SC Info and press go..
The Finder opens and shows now the hidden folder SC Info.
Drag the folder to trash and reboot the system.
After reboot it worked like a charm... all could be so easy... I don't know why, but it solved the problem immediately.

    Main questions:
    What was achieved from the latest forces iPod touch 2g update (17/07/2012)?
    solvable problem(s)?
    Will i need to buy a more recent model of iPod touch if this isnt fixable?
    ps. My iPod has lasted me 3 years so far so i am not suprised, still in good nick!

    Sometimes all it takes is a restart of the iPad and a reboot of your router as Fred already stated and you may be able to connect again.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

    i cannot download free apps via the App Store...i get an error message that asks me to enter my credit card information... i wish not to enter my credit card info until i want to purchase something, and to download free apps, i do not believe i should need to enter credit card info.

    I cannot download any Apps from my I-Pad or I-Phone,even though my Pasword is correct.I hit upload,then password is required,then the screen goes back to upload.

    I have the same problem since this morning, when my Ipod touch (version 4.2.1) unexpectedly asked me for the network's password. Entering the password does not help, the message  "Unable to join..." keeps appearing.
    Last evening I was prompted to update, and did, Safary, Quicktime and Itunes, while my Ipod was connected to the PC. I have tried everything suggested above except restoring the Ipod from backup via Itunes.

    I cannot download any app from my iPhone 5 and only from my iPhone because when I purchase from my iPad or my Mac it works right, and always shows up this message "Could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later", it appears no matter if I download a paid app or free app, it always appears.

    As of 5 minutes ago I could not update any apps. It says "cannot download app". I tried using itunes on my PC to download or update and also received errors. Says the file appears corrupt or something.

    Have you tried updating the apps via iTunes on the computer?
    If so, do they update?
    Are you able to then sync those updated apps to the device from iTunes?
    Were the apps possible acquired with a different Apple ID?

    If you can't buy/download them with your new account then closing the App Store app via the iPad's multitasking bar and then do a soft-reset it and see if you can then download them
    To close the App Store app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the App Store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar
    To do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

       Did you download the new iTunes update that was also released this afternoon? That might be the problem. The new iTunes update came out today as well as the new iOS 7 update and if you haven't downloaded the new iTunes update it may be a compatibility problem so if you didn't, first update to the new iTunes and try again.

    I know my icloud has record of my installing this app before, but that was the first install that was failed during that time some other apps also keeps loading without respond whey they updated itself, and this app didn't install before I restart the device. But I don't see this app on my device after I restarted the device so it should have been installed on my device. It seems icloud has created some kind of dead loop that makes it not able to get the correct status about this app on my device.
    I have no problem install this app on my other device (iPad) with the same account, but just fail on my iPhone. And it just fine installing other apps...... What happened !!?? @@

  • My iPhone 4s cannot download from app store

    For a couple days now my iPhone 4s cannot download anything from the app store. I cannot download new apps or updates. It does not give me an error message or anything. It just shows the icon on my iPhone screen and it says waiting right underneath it; I've let it go on for a day and it never resolved anything. It was working fine before and now it doesn't. I have not changed any settings and I know my account is fine because my wife's iPhone is also setup to use my iCloud account and it works without problems. I donnot want to reset my iPhone as it is currently set up just the way I need it; both peronal and work stuff. It would be a pain in the rear if I had to reset everything. Any ideas?

    Update to my post.
    I called customer Apple support and now my phone works without a problem.
    Here's what I had to do:
    Try resetting network connections. If that does not work go to next step below.
    Connect your iPhone to your computer
    Open iTunes (probably opens automatically)Back up your iPhone to your computer
    Restore iPhone to factory settings (this is what I did. you can skip this step if you're feeling lucky and go straight to the next step). Try to download from app store, if it works, your set; go to next step.Try right clicking on your iPhone an the left menu (iTunes) if you don't see the right options on your screen
    Restore iPhone from previous file (iTunes)
    My iPhone did not restore my downloaded apps, no worries, just go to bought apps on the app store/iTunes and download apps into iTunes. After that, just sync your iPhone to iTunes and your apps should be there.
    I hope that helps, that's what I had to do. I was able to reset my iPhone and all my settings to the way it was before restoring. I did not loose anything but it took about 2 hours.

    If you can't upgrade to ML, your best bet would be to purchase an iWork DVD from someplace like Amazon.
