Cannot download anything from Itunes or app store

I can connect to itunes and the app store, but when I download content, the app or song just say waiting until i get a message "cannot connect to app store"

There are several reports of users unable to connect to the App store, as well as the Mac store. It seems it may be an Apple issue. I, however, did not have any problems on the iPhone or the computer. I am located in Central Illinois.

    Apple is not reporting any problems currently.

    I have the same issue, bteween France and The Netherlands. No solution found yet.
    Worse even. My credit card is not from The Netherlands, and the dutch store does not accept a creditcard from outside NL. So i used my french card to buy one app using France has my home country. Luckily the app's language remained English, but now the french store seems to be offering me frech versions of existing (free) apps which i dont want. So i cant use the updates.
    i cant change the country back to Neterlands, without using a credit card. I can make a new ID, but the old one remains stuck with the french store, pffff It seems the only solution is to create a new ID via a "purchase" of a free app, but the older free apps all may need to be reinstalled that way.
    Typical Apple ..... ? ! !
    I may regret having purchased this ipad.....

    Ever since I have updated my software to iOS 7, I cannot download anything from the AppStore app and I have tried resetting my password and updating ITunes, but nothing works! Also when I try to sink my mini with my iTunes account it says you cannot sync because the sync session failed to start.

    It sounds like to me you're trying to sync using the computer.
    Try these things and see if it helps before you try your next syncing session. If none of the things below work then you might consider trying to sync using iCloud only.
    Try a Restart. 
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
    You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
    Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

  • Can't buy/download anything from the Mac App Store

    Anyone has the problem of not being able to buy anything from the Mac App Store. It is extremely annoying. It does not show any error messages. When I click on the "Buy App" icon it does't go anywhere. its so annoying and disappointing. Tried it from two computers, mac pro and macbook pro.

    Disable anti virus software and try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

    The storage space you have on your phone and the storage space you have available in your iCloud account are not the same thing. You need to remove some items from your phone, if you are to free up space to download items from iTunes.

  • Since upgrading to iOS7 I cannot download anything from iTunes or the App Store.  I get asked for PW and then it just reverts back to showing the price of the app or song.  When you tap it, it gives an INSTALL box and when tapped it again asks for PW.

    Please help.  I cannot download any apps or itunes content.  Just get this circular path of tapping to install, entering PW and back to tapping to install and asking for PW.  This started with the latest iOS update.  Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

    Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

  • Iphone 4 will not allow me to update any apps or download anything from either the app store or itunes.

    I get a message telling me "Cannot connect to itunes store". It worked fine until last night. I've tried deleting all settings, and no change.
    I downloaded a couple of apps on Tuesday with no issues, but then on Wednesday evening the error occured.
    I have recently changed the email address that acts as my apple ID, but that was at the weekend and I had no issues until Wednesday.
    I can however download podcasts through the podcast app.
    Anyone have any suggestions? fixes?

    Yes, I had thought about the general reset thing, what implications will that have on data/email accounts etc ?
    Reset All Settings won't hurt any of your data, just erase preferences.
    From the iPhone User Guide: Reset all settings: Choose General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    When you setup the iPhone as a new device, it's like you just pulled the iPhone out of the box. All apps will have to be installed again and you'll have to recreate the data, unless the app pulls it from somewhere on the web.

  • Can't download music from iTunes or App Store on iPhone

    I have an original iPhone, and it has worked great from day one. However, recently I have noticed that I cannot download music or apps from the iTunes/App Store directly to my iPhone.
    I choose a song or app to download, the download begins and then I get a message that the download cannot be completed until the next time I sync with iTunes on my computer.
    When I sync to my computer, the download is completed.
    This did not happen when the iTunes Store first became available, just started recently, but before the last iPhone software update.
    Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

    Most purchases are immediate. I'd try making a purchase on your computer and see if this problem persists. If it does, you may want to update your billing info (like if the CC expired)
    You could also try signing out of your Apple ID by going to Settings<App Store<Sign out. And then sign back in, and see if the same issue happens.

  • Can't download anything from the Mac App Store.

    I haven't had to download an App from the MAS in a while but i do vaguely remember having this problem before. When i go to install the app (Mavericks in this case) it comes up on my purchased list, but when i click Download it will seemingly do nothing. Looking at my Launchpad of current downloads, it is there but it has a greyed out icon which indefinitely says 'downloading'.
    I've tried everything i've seen suggested on other threads, deleting the caches, deleting storeagent etc. Nothing has worked and it's pretty irritating.

    why do i get the purchase cannot be completed message when i try to install mav from my app store..

  • I can't download anything from the Mac App store

    Hello,
    Since yesterday I have been trying to download 2 apps form the Mac app store; however, it is giving me errors. Each time I click the price and then but app a drop down appears asking me to slign in. So, I sign in. The another one appears shortly after saying unknown error.
    Then another dropdown appears from the top saying We could not complete you request. There was an error in the App Sotre. Please try again later. ( 4 ).
    I have quite and relaunced the app store and rrebooted my computer, but I sitll get this error.
    Also I can putchase items on iTunes fine.
    I would appreciate any and all help with this.

    I cannot update apps, or download  Mountain Lion. It spent time downloading, supposedly, then after it was finished it said it was unable to do so. Tried it three times, same result.
    Never experienced this before.

    I need to clarify the problem:
    software update returns:
    The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.
    The Mac App Store update, download new, or resume returns:
    The application you tried to download could not be downloaded. Check your internet connection and try again.

  • I gave my old iPhone to my granddaughter. It's 3. She cannot download anything from iTunes because my name is still associated with the old.

    How do I put her name into the account?

    Did you wipe the phone clean before giving it to her.
    settings --  general - reset - erase all contents and settings.

    - Internet connection is not the issue, as I have tried many internet signals
    I don't have any firewalls or anything like that.

    I fixed it by turning my computer off and on again.

    You can try to tell the iPod to use yours:
    1. Tap Settings
    2. Navigate to "iTunes & App Store"
    3. Tap Apple ID:
    4. Tap "Sign Out"
    5. Sign in to your account.
