Cannot download Bovada software. After using it for a year or so, it started getting weird, so I trashed it and have not been able to download it since. My security is set for all. It downloads, but then the message comes that it isn't right for this
Have a three yr old Mac Air and using Yosemite 10.10.1. Have used Bovada Poker software successfully for a long time. But it began to get weird so I trashed it. Now when I download, there is a white icon over the Bovada icon in the app folder and the message "You can’t open the application “BovadaPoker.app” because it is not supported on this type of Mac."
Bovada doesn't seem to be able to help, although they acknowledge that some Mac users are having this problem. Is it Yosemite? What to do?

Saw some other (ssh) broblems beind discussed and tried the fix for them and it fixed my "You can’t open the application “BovadaPoker.app” because it is not supported on this type of Mac."

cd /Applications/BovadaPoker.app/Contents/
sudo chmod g+rx BovadaPoker

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

I just bought a new iPad air and have not been able to download kindle app to read my books. When I type kindle on my iPad app page, kindle app does not appear. What do I do to get this app into my iPad air?

Do you already have the Kindle app downloaded to an iPhone or another iPad? Do you have "Automatic Downloads" turned on under Settings>iTunes & App Store for Apps on your iPad?
You might want to try touching and holding the Kindle App option in your Purchased list, and when it highlights, let go, and it will go to a a detail page for the app with another "Open" option on it. See if it will open from there.
If you do have Automatic Downloads turned on on the iPad, turn it off, and then go back to purchased to see if the Kindle is still showing as "Open".

I updated my ipad mini to iOS 6.1.2 and have not been able to udate my apps in the AppStore since. It say I have updates available but the page remains blank. I have tried switching the unit off and on and to no avail. Can anyone help?
Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -

Hi Chris thanks for the reply , my iMessage was working until I listened to voda domes instructions to do a network reset now it's says waiting for activation , I have reset the phone I have a SIM card change as Vodafone thought my SIM card was faulty and took the phone back to the shop and changed it for a new one , I've been on many forum sites and a lot of people are having the same problem as I can send a txt message bit can't receive them Andy account is set up correctly on vodafones side ... I am we'll and truly lost for ideas on what to do .

I have tried everything I know to retrieve the iPhoto Library app. I detest this new Photo app, which obviously wasn't designed with photographers in mind. I desperately need help in retrieving the old app and have not been able to do it so far. I have gone to my app folder and tried to update my iPhoto Library. I have gone to my trash and brought it over to my desktop and still cannot use it. Please help!
Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto. -

I have a couple of questions. I down loaded a movie when I was not hooked up to wifi or connected to my laptop. I was charged for the movie but I have not been able to down load it or find it anywhere in my account.
Question:
1. Where do I find this movie and how do I get it down loaded to my I Pad?
When I signed in to ask this question I had to go through a lot of sign in problems and also create a user name that is completely different that any of the sing in information that I have used previously. Which create a lot of questions:
1. Why did I have to create a user name that I never had to do before?
2. Will this change the sign in process in the future?

Thank you very much.yes it could well do if your bank thinks there is something going on that is not from you they will block it. I have had this problem before, I would of thought they would of phoned me but they don't do that.
If I was you I would go to my bank make sure they are not doing anything like that. If they say it's all fine then i would phone up apple them self or go into my local apple store, as they should be able to look at what there servers are saying why it's not working. -
I have downloaded firefox for my MAC OS X Lion, just purchased in December, and have done so several times but when I try to install it per the directions, nothing happens. The file that shows up says Alias in my applications and your instructions to Eject Firefox from the menu are not clear to me. Firefox does show up in the "Window" box but that's the only place it says firefox. Whenever I click on the folder, it seems to be emily. This installation process just doesn't seem to be working or either I'm not understanding it.

I recently imported pictures from my camera to iphoto. I also synced my ipad. In less than 24 hours my photos are now missing from iphoto even after trying to sync my ipad again. These pictures are from a very special occasion and I did not even get time to edit. Someone help please

My issue, which I resolved and may help you was the following:
I have an IPAD 3. I took over 5 GB of pictures on a third party camera. The car was full so I imported those pictures to my IPAD 3 and deleted them from the SD card. While on IOS 5.x, the photos on the IPAD were there under last imported.
Over the last few days, I upgraded to IOS 6. No issues.
Then, my family wanted to see the pictures from the trip. I went to the IPAD and could not find the photos. It listed 40 photos only. The last imported was there, but listed as empty. When I went into the settings>usage, it listed 5GB + of photos in the photos area. I was confused. I plugged my IPAD into ITUNES, first thinking I would get a backup asap (icloud was full after importing the photos). Then I though I would downgrade to IOS 5.
Also, itunes listed that I had 40 photos only, but 5GB of OTHER data. I was convinced the data was not lost. When I tried to browse the IPAD 3 using windows browser, the photos where NOT in the DCIM folder, so I was not able to simply "FIND" the photos and copy them to my PC.
-SOLUTION-
I downloaded third party software onto my PC called "http://www.i-funbox.com/" I fun box. I had no idea if this would work, but other forums with other issues called out similar products for iphone issues.
When I installed the program, which was free, and so far free of malware, I started to explore my IPAD file system.I found my photos, under IPAD>RAW file system>DCIM>100IMPRT.
-ROOT CAUSE-
I suspect when I upgraded to IOS 6, apple fails to register the IMPORT folder of photos as such, photos. So the file system in IOS looses sight of what is inside the last imported folder. Essentially removing them from applications such as "Photos". Why windows does not seem them, is beyond me. But the program I found did see them in raw format, and I was able to COPY them to my PC. Then I deleted them from the IPAD, because I had no other way of managing this folder in IPAD, and it was using a lot of space. -
I also notice when using a search from the tab on the far right say where Google is that I does not begin a search. When I use a secure email program the normal new window or tab that would open to type the message opens but remains blank. and will not load.
The server we are connected to crashed soon after I down loaded the new update for Mozilla Firefox. It has been replaced with a new one but I still have the above problems. I prefer to use only Firefox and would apreciate being to utilize the program as I did before. I am not happy with the problem with the new update. Or at least that is how it seems to me.# Quit Firefox.

I live in Australia and use Optusnet.com.au as my ISP. I am now in Europe and in the UK (wireless connection to BT Openzone) and in France (wireless connection to Orange) have been able to receive emails but not send any (except to optusnet.com.au addresses). This is true for my iPad 3 and iPhone 4. I can send email using Safari and webmail but as I receive emails in various languages cannot read most of them in webmail. This is really frustrating. I don't know how to do this. I typed the question in the bar above, but apparently need to type it again here. I lost my entire address book when I installed Mountain Lion and have been unable to recover it. I know the information is in there as when I type in someone's name in an email the address always shows up right away. How can I find the information for my contacts and restore my address book? Do I need to go to the Apple Store that is 2 hours away and have an expert help me or can I find out how to do it online for free myself?
The auto-complete in Mail addresses comes from two sources: (1) The "Previous Recipients" list, which can be viewed via Mail > Window > Previous Recipients. (2) Your Address Book (now called "Contacts").
If you did in fact lose your Address Book - are you sure you don't have "Contacts" in your Applications Folder? - It sounds like you are getting addresses from source (1). If you did in fact lose your Address Book (now called "Contacts" !!), you will have to restore it from a backup.
