Cannot download Edge Animate

I keep getting this link when I attempt to download Edge Animate.
aam://SAPCode=EDGE?passPhrase=***
I have truncated the passPhrase since I am not sure what information it might be showing.

Please download Edge Animate through the Adobe Application Manager.  You can find more details at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4396277#4396277?tstart=0.

  • How do I download Edge Animate?

I downloaded the Application Manager, which is where the Edge link took me. However, Application manager failed to open. I received an error message, it quit unexpectedly. What is the correct step to download Edge Animate?

    Hi Sergio,
You download Edge Animate from Adobe's Creative Cloud website:
    https://creative.adobe.com
(EA 1.0 is free, but you need to set up a free or paid Creative Cloud account if you don't already have one before you can download it - and then you download it from your Creative Cloud account page).

  • Unable to download Edge Animate...

For the past week or so I've been trying to dowload Edge Animate from 'the cloud', taking at look at the software to determine if it's a worthy choice for use within company/projects, but as of yet no such luck!
At first the application manager failed to install so I went hunting for the standalone version which installed with no problems, launched the manager and clicked the 'Install' link next to Animate.
After a lengthy wait stuck at 1% it returns an error - File corrupt/(-60). I've looked online for similar problems and I don't seem to be the only one! I've tried to download Ps and Ai via the manager too and get the same (-60)/corrupt file error each time. I haven't downloaded any previous demo versions to current PC so can't see there being any conflicts.
The machine I'm trying to download to is a works Win7 64 bit PC linked to a typical ethernet network for internet access etc. - I've read a few resonses regarding checking proxies etc. but checked with IT (even they were unable to figure it out) and this shouldn't be a problem. After the initial failure I tried to download it on home Macbook/wifi later that evening and found it all worked and within about 15mins I had the software.
After ths success I wondered if it was something with the works network so asked if there was a laptop I could try over the works wifi, fired it up and was quickily greeted with same issue with auto download of the application manager failing, tried the standalone installer - worked, and then again clicked the 'install' link next to animate to see it fail again at only 1% (file corrupt/-60 error)!
The odd thing is that asking a mac user at work, on the off chance, if they could try the whole process of getting Edge Animate on their machine via the same works wifi saw it successfully download and install!
Is there something up with the Windows version of the application manager? Or ability to download Edge Animate via the manager?
...currently using own macbook to do work but need to also installed on works PC!

Is there something up with the Windows version of the application manager?
No. Your description is pretty much an indication that your network packets are rewritten and lose their magic, which in turn means they either never leave the building or their sanitized version is not recognized by the Adobe servers. That it works for one user may simply be due to him belonging to a different user group or physical sub-net where this doesn't happen based on your security/ filter rules. So back to another round with your IT department, I suppose...

  • I can't download edge animate ccc (try)

I have tryed many times for an evaluation download. Is it possible for edge animate ?

    Hi there
I just downloaded it myself, so indeed I know it's possible.
One thing you may notice is that when you kick the process off, you have to look in your notification area to see the update icon that allows the download to proceed.
Admittedly NOT the most intuitive way I've seen things work.
    Cheers... Rick

  • I get an error while downloading Edge Animate

I can't download the software. I get a -60 error while trying to dowload Edge Animate CC. I don't know what to do. Adobe suggests to install the trial software instead, if such error occurs, but this happens with the trial software . I think it is not a proxy fault or etc. from my side, because I can download Edge Reflow and other apps, but I can't get Edge Animate.
Is there any solution to get the download of that trial not from Adobe Creative Cloud? What do you suggest, guys? I really need that software...

Martynas Str please see Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html for information on how to resolve error -60.

  • Downloading Edge Animate

I get an error message which states:
"Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure.  The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit."
I am using the Download link on the Adobe Cloud site and have tried a few times.  I am using Windows 7 and do not have firewall issues with any other downloads...
    Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks

Known issue. You need to update AAM.

  • I cannot get Edge Animate to produce an OAM file.

I have created a simple banner animation that I have saved and published.  It work when I test it in a browser.  It saved all the appropriate files where I wanted.  But Muse needs an OAM file extention that is obtained when you choose Indesign in the publish settings dialogue, which is not one of the choices I am given, although the Tutorial on Lynda.com clearly has this option visible.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

    Hi Amanda
Once the project is published you can use Windows Explorer (or Mac OS Finder) to locate the Edge project folder on your hard drive.
After publishing the project, you'll find a folder named "publish" with a subfolder named "dps" in the project folder. The .OAM file in the dps subfolder and that is the file you'll use for your Muse site.
We do have a tutorial available for "Inserting Adobe Edge content into a Muse website"
    http://www.adobekb.com/inserting_edge_content.html
    Hope this helps !

It is not a free product you would need to subscribe in order to utilize the software beyond the trial period.   You are certainly welcome to sign up for free 30 day trial of the Creative Cloud at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud.edu.html?promoid=JQPEQ.

  • Edge Animate - not available to download

I cannot figure out how to download Edge Animate - it's not listed in the AAM / Adobe Application Manager window

When I posted over on the Adobe Community>Edge Animate> Discussion forum, Wayne gave me the following link which works for me under Windows 8. If it works for you, all credit should go to Wayne (member - carrzkiss). The link opens up a new Adobe Application Manager window from which I could download and install the products.
“I am on Windows 8, through a virtual machine.
    Here is the link.
    http://ccmdl.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/EDGE/1_5/win32/AAMmetadataLS17/Ad obeApplicationManager.exe
It is no longer in preview version, so you have to download the application manager and install from there.
Also, the link that you provided, downloads fine through IE on Win8 as well.
    Warning!!
You have to have a 64-Bit system in order to install it.
    Good Luck
    Wayne”

  • How can I return to earlier version of Edge animate?

Since upgrading to Edge Animate 3 CC, I have not been able to work on my project. Is there a way to go back to an earlier version?
I uninstalled and installed an earlier version, but the file will not open, because it says that it was created in a newer version of Edge. Is there a way around this? Can I change something on the files in edge code that will identify the file as being from the earlier version?
I have been able to get any work done on this project since the beginning of Feb.

I was able to download Edge Animate CC 2.0 by logging onto my paid cloud account. Then I opened the edge.js file in Edge code and replaced the part where it identifies the version with...
    version: "2.0.1",
       minimumCompatibleVersion: "2.0.0",
       build: "2.0.1.268"
I had to do this once for the main stage and once for each symbol.
There is a drop down that only shows if you're logged into a paid cloud account, and you can choose to download the older version. It is installed to a new folder, so you can still run the newer version as well.

  • Adobe Edge Animate Cloud installation not recognized by Adobe Application Manager

I installed Adobe Edge Animate with a direct download from the website.  In order to have it be recognized by Adobe Application Manager, I trashed the App and downloaded it again through the Adobe Application Manager and installed it.  After restarting the  computer, the Adobe Application Manager still does not recognize the app and it is listed as "Install"  Please advice as how to make Adobe Application Manager recognize Adobe Edge Animate so it is listed a "Up to date"?

    Stefan,
I don't think your problem has anything to do with you downloading Edge Animate directly from the website. I setup all Creative Cloud programs through Adobe Application Manager on a clean-installed Mac. Everything looked good for a few months but now Edge Animate and Touch Plug-in Apps always show as "Install" in Application Manager. I installed both like 3 times using the application manager (even though I already had them installed) and that made no difference either. I think problem lies in the application manager. Maybe some Application Manager update that was supposed to fix another issue caused this bug. I'm hoping Adobe is aware of this and working on a fix. While it's purely a cosmetic problem, it's quite annoying to see apps already installed showing up as not installed.
