Cannot download folio in adobe content viewer - urgent help please

Hello,
my folio won't download in my Adobe content viewer ("cannot connect to server") and I would have needed it for a presentation at the client - the client also wanted to download the folio on his device but the same error came up. I tried it then with another iPad, same problem on 3 different iPads. I uninstalled the ACV app, installed it again, removed old issues of the magazine from the iPad and tried all that. But everything failed. In the past it always worked fine. This time, the only difference is that I have 2 Youtube videos as "web content" in the folio, but I can't imagine that could be the problem. There were no problems when having the iPad connected to my laptop, everything worked fine. But without cable connection and trying to download it into the Adobe content viewer, the download does not work. Can somebody help me please? And will that have a negative affect on the submission towards the Apple App Store?

I tried 2 different wireless networks with 3 different iPads and I had the problem with all networks and iPads unfortunately. When I did other app magazine issues for that client in the past, everything always worked fine with the 2 different networks and there were no settings changed. This is why I am so confused about this.
Meanwhile, I have managed to give my client access by private-publishing the folio via the Folio Panel with my personal Adobe ID and I gave my client my personal Adobe ID for that. Not the ideal solution but at the moment that works.

  • Downloading froze and Adobe Content Viewer crashed.

    I tried downloading folio data with content viewer on iPad.
    (InDesign Plugin: V18, Content Viewer V2.3)
    But the downloading froze and the content viewer crashed very often.
    I checked the folio data on DPS Dashboard and I think the folio data is OK.
    And the status of Acrobut.com is "The service is available. No issues repoeted." on Acrobat.com Health.
    What's going on?

    Which verison Mac OS are you using? What is the verison of InDesign is being used ? Have you donwloaded all the most recent updates to Folio Producer Tools, Folio Builder, and have the new Viewer Builder since this Monday-Jan 30?

  • Adobe Content Viewer problem. Please Help me...

    Hi after updating online. Folio, I tried to update the trial version of the publication on my iPad but I get this message: "the issue isavailable for dowload, but new signing for an application version. Update the application from the App Store. "I went to the AppStore and was not any update of the Content Viewer ... I deleted the version on my iPad I downloaded again ... but without success gives me the same problem ... Please help me ... how can I do??

    Hello Bob and thank you for responding so quickly ... Would you be kind enough to send me the link where I can download older versions of Folio Builder and Folio Producers Panel tools for InDesign 5.5. I'm looking for them but I can not find them.

    As discussed in numerous threads already, the new viewer has not been approved by Apple yet.
    If you’re a pro or enterprise customer you can create your own viewer app. If not, you’ll have to wait or roll back to the older tools.

    I have just upgraded to the Creative Cloud. In my newly created folio, I see the icon for Local Folio. How can I get that folio to the cloud, so I can have it downloaded to my device in the Adobe Content Viewer?

    Hi Jo,
    When you create your folio you can preview it by:
    1) Opening the Folio Builder window and clicking Preview > Preview on Desktop at the bottom left
    2) Opening the Folio Builder window and clicking Preview > Preivew on Jo’s iPad at the bottom left (only works if you have Adobe Content Viewer installed and open on a plugged in iPad)
    To actually compile your app and install the development ipa file on your iPad:
    1) Select your Folio in the Folio Builder window
    2) From the top, right flag pull down select “Create App”
    3) This will launch the Digital Publishing Suite App Builder that takes you through the steps to create the ipa file

    I am using Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (SM-T210) Android Version  4.1.2 .The folios were not displayed and I only get a black screen, despite the fact that I was able to download the Adobe Content Viewer latest android version (3.3.0.0.87854), the Android device was detected by Adobe CC, able to load the folio into the device. I tried re-installing the app, but it did not work.
    It may also help to mention that I can't view the DPS Tips App files, also. I was able to download the app and its documents (folio basics, etc.), But the same black screen is displayed when I try to read them.
    Are there any programs that I have to download for it to work? Please help.

    Our testers looked at this and saw the same problem. Updating the OS firmware of the Galaxy Tab 3 resolved the issue.

  • In design 5.5 pop up and mouseover activities cannot be checked in 'Adobe Content Viewer'

    Click n mouseover popups created in in design5.5 can be viewed in preview window but cannot be viewed in Adobe content viewer.
    For such small interactivities also, do we need to convert it into flash and then with wallaby to HTML5 and then import back in In design5.5 working file.

    Hi Andy,
    The way to add in that missing information is via the Folio Properties window. If you build your cover art, in horizontal and vertical orientations, and upload it via the folio properties it should show up in the Content Viewer index page. You can also add a Publication Name in the same window.
    1. Highlight a folio and select "Properties"
    2. This will open the Folio Properties window
    3. Click on the folders next to each Cover Preview window and select your files.
    4. Add the name of your Folio into the "Publication Name" field.

  • Trouble downloading a folio to the Content Viewer Application? Please help

    I created a gmail account for my client. I then created an Adobe account for the same client using the new gmail accont. I confirmed the gmail account on my desktop. I then logged into adobe.com with the client's information and was sucessful. I logged out. I then opened the folio producer from within Indesign and logged into my Adobe account. I then shared the folio via the share link on the page.  I then opened the ipad... installed the Adobe Content VIewer application. Launched the application. Using the client's email and password I set up for them attempted to download the folio I produced.....
    After several times logging in and out and deleting the app and such I continue to get the message while attempting to log into the Content Viewer Application. Authentication Failed.
    Any thoughts?

    Instead of signing in to adobe.com with that account, sign in to https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com, follow the prompts to verify the account, and it should work.

  • Viewing folio in Adobe Content Viewer

    I am currently populating a shared folio for a client and when I go to sign in on my Adobe Content Viewer (on my iPad), the folio is not coming up. I have double checked to make sure that the orientations are correct and they are. Is there another reason why this could be happening?

    First, I'm very impressed with the Adobe Content Viewer and CS 5.5.  IT WORKS JUST GREAT!
    I've uploaded my files and have been able to see my interactive content.
    Thanks for making the viewer a free app, because, according to the posts I've seen, I will be able to share my app, as I test it.
    HOW DO I DO THAT, short of sharing my password to my free acrobat.com account?  I don't want to do that!
    How do I share, without giving everyone my password to my account?
    I realize that they sign up for the free viewer--and their own acrobat account.  But how do they get to my content?  Where do you put THAT address?  Is there a button I'm missing in the content viewer that points to 'other' content?
    I know I'm missing a step...and sure could use a very simple explaination.

    You need Lightroom 4.1 or later.
    OR you can download the free Adobe DNG Converter version 7.1, convert your RAWs to DNG and import those

  • Downloading speed in Adobe Content Viewer

    Is it olny me, who is waiting  30 minutes  to download  31Mb folio?
    Or there are problems in Adobe side?
    I am in Europe. I think there are different servers for America and Europe.

    If you are downloading content in the viewer that hasn't been published (i.e. it shows with a blue ribbon on the cover image) then you are hitting our main servers based in the US. It does get cached on Akamai, but given the relatively few number of people that hit the unpublished version (and that it's often updated after one view), it's not unusual to have to come all the way back to the US to get a new version..
    Once the folios are published you'll see much better performance in each region after the first download, as Akamai will cache it at its servers and you won't be changing it anymore.

  • Problems to download folios in the content viewer and in the app viewer

    Hi there!!
    I am having a problem and want to know if somebody can help me.
    Since a few days, in 9 folios whose particular being very heavy (170-350 MB) can not be updated on the Ipad. On our test Ipads appears a message that the server is not responding.
    Before last thursday I made multiple changes and updates to these folios and I doesn‘t  have any problem to upload from InDesign and download and update the foliosin the Ipad. Even I built the viewer in the app builder and published one of the folios and the problem is the same.
    I create an app (single folio) directly from InDesign using my creative cloud user and the app works good, but the idea it‘s include this folio in a viewer with many other contents.
    Any advice!

    This problem is new to you or already had before?
    Because for me it‘s new, I've been working on these folios over a month, rising corrections uploading from InDesign and testing on ipads many times and had not had this kind of trouble!

  • Re-download problem with Adobe content viewer

    Every time I close Adobe Viewer and then reopen it, my libary updates and I get the cloud downlaod icon on my publication. This happens even when that folio doesn't need updating. I dont want to redownload the same file everytime I open the app. This is especially a problem if Im in an area with no WiFi. How do I get around this issue?

    Make sure you have the most up to date version of the viewer and stick to
    alpha numeric characters in the folio name.
