Cannot download/install adobe flash player

Having issues downloading the newest version of flash player,  When visiting hulu I'm told to download the newest version.  I visit the download page, even after verifiying I already have the newest version, I then attempted to uninstall and then reinstall but still not working.  I've tried through both IE and Firefox, IE says it cannot be downloaded and Firefox downloads but wont install.
I''m not very comouter savvy so any help avasilable would be nice, in language I can understand:)
Thanks for your time.

Hi Ash. I would try first making sure that everything you have in the way of Flash player right this minute is totally uninstalled on your PC, that is if you are using a PC. Go to control panel uninstall programs find that thing & zap it. Also if you are using Internet explorer & Firefox then you may have a problem with Firefox trying to but in with the download. For some reason Firefox doesn't always play nice with certain downloads like printer drivers, software updates & things like that. Not sure why. I suggest you uninstall Firefox as well, before you download Flash . You can always re-install it if you like it. I love Google Chrome myself but go with what your comfortable with. Once you have these done go back to the download page & make sure your download is for the 64 bit version of Flash player. First things first get rid of the flash player you have on there now & dump Firefox. Go to control panel find these two & uninstall.  Write me back if need to.

  • Re:Difficulty to Download/Install Adobe Flash Player! Please help me out!

I cannot download/install Adobe Flash Player on Mozilla Browser and I really need it to stream local National TV Channel for news etc etc.and I couldn't find it on Google Play neither
I have been trying for a long time but cannot manage on my own so would appreciate it very much if you could help me sort this out to finally manage to download/install Latest Adobe Flash Player. As a matter of fact I have been using your Browser as default one on my laptop for quite a long time and I had never found it difficult to install the Adobe Flash Player there or even update it from time to time! Really cannot understand why I'm finding all this difficulty now to install on my Samsung S4 device which I bought very recently! Again thanks for helping me out and please explain to me in simple language what steps to take to finally manage to install this blessed Adobe Flash Player! Wishing you as always the BEST for future Success for Mozilla Browser & thanks very much for the latest Version of a fantastic browser. Fondest regards to all The Team at Mozilla! Adobe no longer supports Flash on Android. Adobe doesn't recommend this (this versions have vulnerabilities) but if you really want it, you can try installing an old version from their archives - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html#Flash%20Player%20archives (you'll have to scroll down to find the Android versions).

  • Cannot un-install Adobe Flash player.

I apologize if this has been addressed before but for the life of me I cannot un-install the flash player.
The reason for the un-installation is because the flash player stopped was not working a few weeks back. After numerous internet searches most advice was to un-install flash then re-install. (easier said than done)
For reference: Win XP Pro SP3, using Chrome and FF as browsers.
I downloaded Adobe's flash uninstaller and have run it several times back to back (shutting down and re-starting) with absolutely nothing else running.
My next step is to go to Adobe's web page to verify if Flash is installed and it always comes up with the latest version (10,1,103,20)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the info. You don't have Flash Player Installed for FF or IE. Chrome is ok, nothing is needed for you to do with it.
    Go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Use IE and right click on the one for Windows, Internet Exlorer and RIGHT click on Download EXE Installer, click on Open in New Window and click SAVE and save it to your Desktop.
Then right click on the one for Windows, plugin based browsers and RIGHT click on Download EXE Installer and do the same thing.
Now you have the Flash Player Installer for IE and FF on your Desktop.
At this time, Close all browser windows. Look in your system tray(area near the clock) and if you have any messenger services, such as MSN, Yahoo, etc, then Disable them.
Make sure you use the Administrator Account for Installing Flash Player.
Run the Installer for IE, when it is finished, the Run the Installer for FF. When finished, Reboot(restart) your Computer.
Now go back to the Flash folder and post back all files for IE and FF(NPSWF) Follow my instructions for obtaining this info in my previous post.
Then check for the addons for IE & FF (per previous post)
You may want to print out any instructions to make it easier to follow.
If you have any questions, let me know. I will be on and off the forum today doing Christmas things:-)

  • I can't download/install Adobe Flash Player update version 11.7.700.169.

I have tried several times to download and install Adobe Flash Player update version 11.7.700.169 without success. My OS is Windows XP with SP3 and my web browser is Internet Explorer. My current Adobe Flash Player version is 11.6.602.180. In the Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player IE window I unchecked the checkbox "Yes, install Chrome as my default browser and Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer - optional"  and clicked [UpdateNow]. Then I followed the installation instuctions. When I tried to run the installer I got an Internet Explorer Script Error dialog box.
I then clicked yes on the Scrippt Error dialog box and it closed. The new version did not install. I still have the old version.
    What am I doing wrong?

Download and run the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header (under the heading Progress bar hangs...).

  • Flash Installer cannot download. "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed."

Flash Installer cannot download. Finally get the message,  "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." I already uninstalled the old copy, now I have no Flash Player.

My issue was identical.... days of frustrating downloads and initializing but no installation........ UNTIL I chose to not use the default installer and chose 'Save File'. Now I have the latest Flash installed in OS 10.8.5 no problems !!
This time a long download of 16MB arrived in the downloads folder that actually worked.
Prior to this, all downloads were around 1.6MB and there was no .dmg in the package.
I got my download under where it says "Still having problems?"
    Hope this helps you.

  • Downloading/installing adobe flash player on a Nok...

    Hi,
I can't watch Youtube videos on my Nokia 5300,as i get a message saying i need adobe flash player or java, the latter which i've got and is also enabled.
I've tried to download adobe flash player, but to no avail, if anyone knows where, and how i can download/install this directly onto my phone or via PC it would be very much appreciated.

I don't think you can watch youtube videos within the browser of the phone.
I don't think there is anyway to stream them unless maybe if you go to www.m.youtube.com.
If that doesn't work i don't think there is any more ways to do this.Message Edited by 6280 on 02-Nov-200708:29 PM

  • Cannot Successfully install Adobe Flash Player

I have tried about 8 times to download Adobe Flash Player, following each of the steps required.  I get the "complete" message, but websites I then try to open tell me that to view I have to download Adobe Flash Player.  I evenn have in a folder the adobe flash player.exe, from which I've installed several times.  Several times I've rebooted my computer before trying to open the desired site.  That has not helped. How do I get Flash Player successfully installed and in operation?

Hi, I probably should have told you the reason that swflash.ocx needed removed is because it was very old. Ok, now we have the Flash files for IE correct and the Shockwave Flash Object. Oh, just some info: IE8 has various categories for listing add ons and it makes it difficult to find. When you see "currently loaded" or "have been used", etc. that is confusing. I use XP/SP3/IE6 and found out long long ago, what matters is whether the add on is Enabled or Disabled no matter where it is listed or under what category.
Now, back to the issue. Trying to determine when this audio issue appeared. Did you Install any new software, Uninstall any that you can remember? Try any trial versions of any? A new Toolbar perhaps? If you can think of any, let me know.
Now that we know your Flash files are correct and the add on is also, then something is conflicting. I have a couple of links and info on audio issues and will review them.
We may need to take a look at your add ons in IE, but usually those conflict directly with Flash Player.
Trying to pinpoint when the audio acted up will help.
Let me know and I'll see what I have on my Desktop.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb
P.S. What about Trend Micro? Is that new? What Anti-Virus did you have before Trend Micro? Do you have a version number? Something to consider.

  • Cannot download new adobe flash player upgrade

I just tried to download the newest Adobe Flash Player Upgrade by going to the Adobe website. The Adobe Flash Player Installer appeared in my downloads file. But when I double click it I get a Mac warning window opens that says "Can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store." When I go to the Mac App store and search for Adobe Flash Player, it doesn't exist there. How do I get it or is there another way to be able to watch video on the internet especially from sites like you tube and vimeo, but also sometimes on other sites. Do I have to keep the older version indefinitly and risk not getting security updates?

System Preferences > Security & Privacy
Unlock the lock, if you have to.
        Allow apps downloaded from:
Select “Mac App store and identified developers”.
        Quit System Preferences and try.

  • Workaround found: Install Adobe Flash Player.app seems to be damaged

Like many other Mac users, today I tried to update to the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. The downloaded Install Adobe Flash Player.app (v3.3.9.0) seems to be damaged. It seems to have been inappropriately altered so its code-signing no longer works with the Mac OS X Gatekeeper. Even worse, switching the Gatekeeper off won't give any better chance to run the Installer.
This is what the Console tells:
    05.02.14 14:29:08,565 coreservicesd[65]: Application App:"Install Adobe Flash Player" [ 0x0/0x7b07b]  @ 0x0x7f93206ca360 tried to be brought forward, but isn't in fPermittedFrontASNs ( ( ASN:0x0-0x7d07d:) ), so denying.
05.02.14 14:29:08,565 WindowServer[127]: [cps/setfront] Failed setting the front application to Install Adobe Flash Player, psn 0x0-0x7b07b, securitySessionID=0x186a5, err=-13066

Google pointed me beside others to this page which informs that users won't have a real chance to fix it:
    http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/62707/how-to-get-installers-not-to-hang-on-waitin g-for-other-installations-to-complet
It seems as if this isn't new to Adobe:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1151807
Counting this and the big bunch of error reports in this forum, I guess you Flash developer guys here at Adobe should check and fix the Installer soon.
    Thank you in advance.
    Edit:
Here is a workaround that worked for me: Download the Flash Player archive 12.0.0.44 from this Archive page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html#Flash%20Player% 20archives
When it is unzipped, you will find a folder named fp_12.0.0.44_archive in your Downloads folder. Open its subfolder 12_0_r0_44, and run the flashplayer_12_0r0_44_mac.dmg.

I have upgraded to Yosemite but had this problem prior to that.  What I did find that work was to use the Disk Utility.app to recreate the dmg file.
    Try this:
Right click on the dmg in Finder.
    Choose: Open With->Disk Utility.app
    Once open:
Select the dmg image at the bottom left in the list view.
    Choose First Aid tab
    Choose Verify
    Choose Repair
On the Top Toolbar choose Convert
Use standard selections and place the new image on the Desktop
Dbl click on new DMG image file and it should work.

  • I have downloaded and installed Adobe Flash Player, but it was installed to a "disk image".  I don't know what this is and I cannot see anything that requires Flash Player.  What am I doing wrong?

I have downloaded and installed Adobe Flash Player, but it was installed to a "disk image".  I don't know what that is, but I cannot view anything that requires flash player.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help, but that didn't do any good either.  I have been double clicking from the download files, double clicking on the "install adobe flash player", closing the anti virus, closing Safari, watching the install progress and clicking finish.  It indicates that "flash player" is installed, but every time I try to view something requiring flash player, it tells me I must download it.  It shows up in the "system preference"  and from there I can make some changes, but it still won't let me view anything requiring "flash player".   It does not show up in my apps like Adobe Reader does.  It shows up in the "downloaded files" section of "Finder".  I'm getting really perplexed over my inability to get this right.

Hey I have a toshiba laptop and I cannot install firefox because the laptop runs android and there's only version for linux...and if u can tell me how to install adobe flash player too...Any advices??

This is a known problem, but we don't have a solution for it. If your device has the Toshiba Market app, you might be able to download a (possibly outdated) version of Firefox from there.

  • I want to download and install adobe flash player. When I do so one occur. A dialog box appears but it has no run option but a save file or cancel option.

    # Question
I want to download and install adobe flash player. When I do so one of 2 things occur. A dialog box appears but it has no run option but a save file or cancel option. The other is if the proper dialog box appears, I agree and the a different box appears and there is foxfire with a red circle with a diagonal line across is appears.

I find the easiest way to install Adobe Flash is to use the manual installers. You just need to download the installer to your computer, then run it to install Flash. For more details see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#main_ManualInstaller
That link states you should uninstall earlier versions, as you don't have the version of Flash used by Firefox you can skip that step.

  • Cannot Install Adobe Flash Player 11

I am trying to install Adobe Flash Player 11 onto a my computer but it just goes to 95% and locks up.
I am using Windows XP Pro- version 5.1, service pack 3
    Enternet Explorer 8- version 8.0.6001.187.02
The computer had a working copy of Adobe Flash 10X and Adobe Air on it.  When I could not get the Player 11 to install (went to 95% then locked).  I tried to un-install both the Flash 10X and Air, but they would not un-install (sent auto. error reports to microsoft).  So I used a pro un-installer program to uninstall them both, but the un-installer could not delete the "windows/system32/atmfd.dll" file.  Tried to un-install the atmfd.dll file manually but only get the "cannot delete atmfd: Access denied" error.
I have tried clearing all my browser cookies, history, ect., stop my anti-viruse program, ran a register repair program, and re-booting my computer, then running the Adobe Flash Un-install Program (which always shows that the fash program is completly un-installed) and re-running the Adobe Flash 11 install program again.
Same thing, the installer goes to 95% and locks up to the point that the only way to stop the installer program is to reboot my computer.
What can I do to get this Adobe Flash 11 installed, as since I removed the old Flash 10X program I no longer have any Adobe Flash?  Which I do need.

Ok, here is what I had to do to get the Adobe Flash 11 to install.
    (1. Run the Adobe un-install program from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
    (2. Go in c:/windows/system32 and delete the Macromedia folder
    (3. Run a register repair program to fix any register errors.
(4 Go in c:/Documents and Settings/Application Data and delete the Macromedia folder
(5 Go in c:/Documents and Settings/Application Data/Adobe and delete the Flash Player folder
(6 Go to Adobe.com and run the standard Adobe Flash 11 install program (the offline installer's at the Adobe site listed above would not run after I deleted the Documents and Settings/Application Data folders, for some reason)
(7 When it got to Finish, allow it to auto. open a CMD screen and then answered Y to both questions.
This is how I got it to complete the install and not lock up at 95%.  For some reason the Adobe un-install program was not removing the Documents and Settings Adobe Flash Player programs and these are what were locking up the install program.
