Cannot download JRE

hello,
well i am running windows 2000, and i cannot download JRE. in the instructions, it says if you recieve a certain error message then a yellow bar should appear at the top of the screen and then you click on that and it guides you through the problem.
my problem is that i get that error message but the yellow bar never appears? anyone know whats going on?

See if your bank has an App Store app. Most banks do. I'm guessing you are try to get on using Safari, which won't work due to the incompatibility of Java.

You have or had an extension installed (MegaUpload toolbar) that has changed the user agent from Firefox/3.6.12 to Firefox/2.0.0.13
You can check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page:

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.<br />
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Cannot install JRE 6 on Solaris 10

I would appreciate any help with the installation of JRE 6 on 32-bit x86
Solaris 10, which is actually a virtual OS under VMware ESX 3.5. "uname -a":
SunOS <hostname> 5.10 Generic_120012-14 i86pc i386 i86pc
First, I patched the OS with all required patches. Then I have downloaded
jre-6u4-solaris-i586.sh from sun.com, made it executable and ran,
but checksumming failed: "The download file appears to be corrupted...".
I tried to download by browser and by SDM, so I am sure the download is
correct. OK, I renamed /usr/bin/sum to skip checksumming, and now I get:
"Segmentation Fault - core dumped. Failed to extract the files.
Please refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation
Instructions on the download page for more information."
The install.sfx file created by the installer is
ELF 32-bit LSB executable 80386 Version 1, dynamically linked, stripped
Is there any way to proceed with this? Is there a way to install Java 6
by the package manager? Am I doing anything wrong?
Where is that "Troubleshooting section"? Do not expect much
help from it, but cannot find it anyway.

Resolved: I downloaded via Firefox running on Solaris (not Windows, and then WinSCP to Solaris, as I did before), the checksums are correct and everything installs fine.

Can't download JRE

I cannot download the JRE from java.com . Any download button just hangs and then results in "Page not found". Tried it from 3 Windows systems on two different ISPs. Been this way since Monday, March 1st.
Is this happening to others?
I really need the offline install for 1.4.2_03.

Auto download JRE

Hello,
One of the described features of webstart is the auto-download of the specified JRE (if not yet installed)
I want to place the JRE on my local server to prevent downloads from the Sun site when the JRE is not yet installed on the client PC.
How can I do this ?

As I said in previous response, the complete jre installer source is included in the JDK/samples directory.
You cannot use the standard tag: href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se" alone, because this directs java web start where to download the jre from.
if you wan to accept either a jre downloaded from sun, or one loaded from your company server, but want only to force autodownload only from your companies server you would need to list multiple j2se elements:
<j2se version="1.4.2*" href="http://yourcompany.com/products/autodl/j2se">
<j2se version="1.4.2*" href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se">
then if either are there it will use it, otherwise it will try to download from the first one.
It sounds more like most people want a local client configuration, that says where to download jre from when the standard href (href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se") is given.
there is the config entry: deployment.javaws.installURL , but that won't do what you want. (that will cause platform version specifications (those w/o href) to download from it's value, but it will also set that value in the location field of jre's discovered on the system (as on windows thru the registry), which will cause a non-match on jnlp files specifying sun product version (ie: with href="http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se")
What we really need is a configuration parameter that means "alternative download url" so that anyone requesting either a product version, or a platform version with the href equal to the value of the property deployment.javaws.installURL, will go to the alternative url to attempt the download.
I'll file such an RFE for the next version.

How do you get of hold of anyone at Adobe for help? Cannot download Photoshop CC.

I could not update Photoshop CC from Creative Cloud desktop or online. I need Raw 8.3 to be compatible with Lightroom. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone at Adobe for help. Found their chat link once after much searching, someone finally answered then told me they were closing for the day and to call back the next day. Could never find the chat link again. Tried uninstalling PhotoshopCC because I saw that somewhere in the forum but still cannot download Photoshop CC. Got error code U43M1U49 and said to retry or contact customer support. Yeah right! Totally frustrated with Adobe. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you're having difficulties getting updates for your tools using the Creative Cloud Desktop app, then you can try downloading them without it by using the direct links for the CC updates on Windows or on Mac OS, for all CC apps.

I have an IPod Touch 4th Generation (the older model) and the highest operating system stops at iOS 6.1.6. Unfortunately, when I tried to download Adobe Reader app, it only works for the newer IPod Touch 5th Generation with an operating system of iOS 7.0 or higher. My question is that since I cannot download Adobe Reader app, is there a way for me to open PDF files on my IPod Touch by using Safari? There is no way I can find an Adobe Reader app that works for my operating system or an operating system that works for iOS 6.0 or lower. Is there another program similar to Adobe Reader where I can open PDF files that works for iOS 6.0 or lower?

Please note that my instructions are intended for Adobe Reader for iOS, not for all iOS apps in general.
Adobe Reader for iOS does offer earlier compatible versions for iOS 5 and 6 via the App Store. Because the supported iOS version for Adobe Reader for iOS is 5 or later.

However, I cannot speak for other apps, such as Costco app and NFL app that you have mentioned. It is up to each individual app developer/company to decide whether to take advantage of Apple's App Store's features to offer earlier versions.

If a compatible version isn't available, you can try contacting the app developer. Look for contact information on the app's product page in the App Store or Mac App Store.

How do I get to download music with a different id when it comes up with the message cannot download for 90 days

Are you using the Sky Go app to try and watch it ? If so are you logged in with your Sky account ?
If you are using the app then you could try closing the app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Sky Go 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Sky Go app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Clients cannot download updates from DP

I need your help,
After I configured everything and I am ready to patch my first cycle I have problem with my clients.
I download all the updates and create my deployment package. I sent it to the DP.
The clients cannot download the updates from their DP. I checked the boundary and everything is ok.
I noticed that all pcs have the following error in the FSPstatemessage.log.

The client falls in a boundary that is assigned to a boundary group which gives access to the DP with the content and the deployment package is distributed on the server.

I can resolve the FQDN of the DP from the client. The DP is the server of the branch where the client locates.

You need to delete some item (apps, music, photos etc) from the iPod,.However, sometime files get corrupt. To determine that connect the iPod to your computer and click on the iPod under Devices in iTunes. How much storage is used by the "other" category. If over 1 1/2 GB that indicates corrupted files.
To get the "other" down to normal value you need to restore your iPod usually restoring from backup works but sometimes restoring to factory settings.new iPod is required./

Did you download the new iTunes update that was also released this afternoon? That might be the problem. The new iTunes update came out today as well as the new iOS 7 update and if you haven't downloaded the new iTunes update it may be a compatibility problem so if you didn't, first update to the new iTunes and try again.

Why not just sign onto your iTunes account on the desk top, and download the songs? Are you looking under the correct "Purchased" option? Click on the iTunes Store. Once the Store is open, click on Purchased under Quick Links.
You will then see a window come up with tabs for Music, Apps, Movies, etc. Click on Music, click on Songs, click on "Not on this Computer". You should see a list of all of your purchased music with a little cloud that has a down arrow in the middle of it next to each song. Click on selected songs to download them, or click on "Download All" at the bottom of the screen.
