Cannot download Mountain Lion.... error 100
Tried to download Mountain Lion but its giving an error Try Again Later (100) and then Item not available.... ???
Apple's servers are getting pounded as we speak do to the thousands-millions downloading, so there will be some errors that you will encounter. My Answer is keep trying, wait this afternoon, later today or tomorrow to beging downloading.

cannot install mountain lion. error "This copy of the Install OS X Mountain Lion application is damaged, and can't be used to install OS X."
You do meet the hardware requirements. Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to purchase ML.
If you're connected wirelessly to your router, connect with Ethernet.
If you're connecting through a proxy, connect directly.
Boot in safe mode (shift key down at startup) and try again. -

Cannot download Mountain Lion- "an error has occurred"
When I attempt to download Mountain Lion it gets to about 79MB, stops, and I get the following, "an error has occurred." No explanation of any kind. This was over Wifi, but I also tried using ethernet. Same result. This same thing happened when I updated to Lion. The same thing happens when trying to download using my laptop. The only way I was able to get LIon is to take my laptop to the library and download from there and transfer it to my iMac. I really don't want to do the same thing for Mountain Lion. Here is my setup:
iMac8,1 model ID
Wifi router - Qwest 2Wire (over 5 years old)
Currently using latest version of Mac OS LionI talked with my service provider (Qwest/Centurylink) and through some persistance they admitted that my 2wire router/modem (about 5-6 years old) has a 2GB file download cap on it. My solution was to buy a new router and modem. After that I was able to download Mountain Lion just fine. Hope this helps.

When i try to download mountain lion i get an error 100. When i try to donwload a free app it works. Othwerwise i get the error. I have tried signing out the mac app store log out log in, restarting computer, almost everything.
If you still need help...
Try here > Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing
If that doesn't help, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here;
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Now here:
~/Library/Preferences/
Click Go
Move these files from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
com.apple.appstore.plist
com.apple.storeagent.pllist
Now here:
~/Library/Cookies
Click Go
Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Empty the Trash, try the App Store. -

HT1338 I have a new mac mini and cannot download mountain lion from apps store gives error
I have a new 3rd gen i5 intel mini mac and it wont' download ML from app store it gives the error
We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer.
I want to reinstall it for its running to slow and add only what I need.
it installs on my older mac miniAssuming your mini came with ML installed and you have already made a backup of your personal data, restart the computer while also holding down 'Command-Opt-R' and it should reinstall automagically from Apple's servers.

Downloading mountain lion error: how to fix?

Try this:

HT4463 i cannot download mountain lion even though my itunes account has charged me for it
i cannot download OS X mountain lion even though my itunes account has charged me for it, the download keeps dropping off and will not resume at point of drop off and starts all over again but will not complete, got to over three quarters thru the 4 plus GB download,
A trick another user stumbled on this morning was to create another user account on the Mac, a standard user account, and from that account use the AppleID, and password to login to the Mac App Store and then download ML with the redemption code...after a frustrating several hours of trying unsuccessfully that little trick worked.

Cannot download Mountain Lion...why?
I tried to buy the App to download OS X Mountain Lion and I get an error message that it is not compatible with my computer. I have a MacBook that is currently running on version. 10.6.8. Any thoughts?
Check check using the model number.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System information.
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) model number 7,1 or higher
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 4,1 or higher
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) model number 2,1 or higher
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Xserve (Early 2009) model number 3,1 or higher
Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory
8 GB or more of available space -
Cannot download Mountain Lion upgrade
I have a Late 2009 MacBook running 10.7.5 OS, using 4Mbps wifi. Went to apple.com > Mountain Lion > upgrade, which took me to App store. I clicked on the download button, clicked Buy, signed into my Apple account, clicked on Download,, and ... nothing. Tried again. Nothing. Waited. Waited, etc. Emptied cache. Tried again. Emptied cache, disabled cache, closed out all windows, shut down computer. Restarted. Went right to apple.com and app store. Same results. Click Download button...nothing.
Went to Finder > went to "~/Library/Caches/ ", closed out of everything, shut down, had coffee, turned back on, same as before - straight to app store with no ability to download.
Now what?I found a similar problem listed after iI posted this which suggested that I go to the App sotre to check the status of my purchases - I find the Mountain Lion purchase, it says "paused" so I click "resume", waited a minute or two and it began downloading.

Can't download Mountain Lion - error message
The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.
Spotlight won't find it as it's a system(-ish) file, so doesn't expect you to be nosing around in there!
You should see sub-folders below /var/folders. All I did was explore these sub folders (and any sub-sub-folders etc) until I found the com.apple.appstore file. Then (peeking from behind my hands) I deleted it.
I found mine in var/folders/gn/hdq2sz..../C
Then disable everything you can in Virus Barrier and try and install from the appstore again. I can't remember if I rebooted before retrying or even quit and restarted app store, but it might be worth doing that if it still doesn't work.
Good luck.
