I cannot locate the upgrade to Photoshop Elements 11 to Version 13, which I purchased today and started the download as per the Order Confirmation. My order No. is AD014117711. I am running Windows 7 on my PC and cannot locate the Download. How do I find it? What is the exact name of the Download?

EdWeidman by default the download will be saved to your Download folder.  I do not know the exact name of the file which was provided to you.

  • Cannot download my already purchased Photoshop Elements product

Won't download. Stops midway through. What now.

Yes I've changed it but it hasn't reflected this change yet so what can I do.
After I purchased the product, I clicked on the link provided and it constantly failed. Limited to 5 attempts. Told to contact Digital River. No response. Tried calling Adobe. No response.
Mac OS X 10.7.5. Have tried Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
All other files have downloaded just fine.

Having installed an upgrade for Photoshop Elements 13, I cannot open the application. I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X".
I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but get the same error message.

Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

Can I upgrade our Photoshop Elements 11 to 13 and download the upgrade to our desktop and laptop computers?

    Hi Lute,
You should be able to do that exactly as Jon said – although for the first time in many years, Adobe's Black Friday deals out for 2014 don't include any specials for Photoshop Elements...  It looks like they are focusing more on the CC product line with the offers.

  • I uploaded the upgrade to Photoshop Elements 12 today.  I got a "dispatching error" for Photoshop Elements, but was able to download Premier elements!  I did not order Premier Elements, so I'm confused (unless this was a package that I did not know about)

I uploaded the upgrade to Photoshop Elements 12 today.  I got a "dispatching error" for Photoshop Elements, but was able to download Premier elements!  I did not order Premier Elements, so I'm confused (unless this was a package that I did not know about).  I really want the Photoshop Elements upgrade - not Premier Elements.  I do hope I did not pay for both - I only want one.  Help!

Maryrhire910 I am sorry that you are facing difficulty downloading and installing Photoshop Elements 12.  Are you downloading the installation files from Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10?  If so what specific error are you receiving?

If your program is Photoshop Elements 12, you have posted in the wrong forum. Somehow you thread got posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum.

While you do that something to think about....putting on my Photoshop Elements 12 hat for the moment...
If you have Photoshop Elements 12 and are in its Elements Organizer 12 and you want to edit of of the Elements Organizer 12 photos in the Photoshop Elements 12 Editor, I do not
find any right clicks in that maneuver. Have you tried...
    1. Select the Elements Organizer 12 thumbnail for the photo
    2. Look to the bottom of the workspace to where it shows an Editor button. Click on the tiny triangle to the right of the work Editor in the button.
You should then get a pop up menu with choices of External Editor, Photoshop, Video Editor. click Photoshop. Does that work to get
you into the Photoshop Elements 12 Editor workspace to edit that photo?

  • Mess caused by upgrading to Photoshop Elements 13

I have just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 12 to Photoshop Elements 13 via download.  I am not impressed.  First I had to or was directed to use a download manager of Japanese name!  With 50Mb cable broadband I don't need this, but the alternative seemed to have 2 files.  So I went with the provided download manager.  But this has put a folder on the Desktop - bit messy in my opinion.  Fortunately after download it is not needed to run 13.  (But why didn't the installation delete or make it clearer that you could put it else where??).  I now have Photoshop Elements 13 installed and it runs fine.  BUT I also have Photoshop Elements 12 which also runs.  There is not point in having 2 versions on this PC.  But when I look in the Control Panel un-install route I can only see Elements 13.  I can't find or see Photoshop Elements 12 listed, but this older version is present and I can find all its folders on the C directory program files area!! So how can I easily and cleanly remove Photoshop Elements 13?

Thanks Angryuk.  I have sent an Email to the CEO.  Here is what I sent.  It might encourage other Adobe users to push for better and more professional support even if the app PSE12 is only one behind!!!
    Dear Sir
I was a regular home user of Photoshop Elements 12(PSE12) having purchased it by upgrade on
7 Oct 2013 (S/No: 1057-1302-7331-8029-4210-6039).  Then when I was powering up this application it said that Photoshop Elements 13 (PSE13) was available for upgrade on special offer by download.  So I purchased PSE13 on 13 Oct, 2014 (S/No: 1057-1314-3452-2773-6251-9919)
I realise that most software suppliers will not support old versions so on important packages such as PSE I always upgrade so that I am on the latest version.  (Also means I am a faithful customer of Adobe).  Most software companies will support the last issued version even though they have just upgraded.  They will eventually pull the plug but not for a short period following an upgrade/re-issue of software! (But Adobe doesn’t appear to follow this convention from my Help Web CHAT calls as you will see).
When I installed PSE13, I finished up with both PSE12 & PSE13 on my PC, both fully working.  However I couldn’t see the point in having both on my PC.  After if you only support PSE13 better to be on that. If there are any bugs in the new software, I will trust that a company of Adobe reputation will issue fixes in due course.
So I went to un-install PSE12 via the correct Windows Control Panel and un-install provided to un-install software cleanly.  But only PSE13 appeared but no PSE12, even though it is a fully running application.  So I used your Adobe Web Chat connection as I do have an Adobe account.  The first Chat was as follows:  (Your case number: 0185994907);Chat start time: Oct 13, 2014 7:55:56 AM; EST; Chat end time: Oct 13, 2014 8:46:33 AM EST; Duration (actual chatting time): 00:50:37; Operator: Rashmi. Brief details of the call: Rashmi: In that case we need to uninstall it manually ,
Graham Marriott: Do you not have a manual un-install program that I can download. Many  software companies have a program you can run to remove and clean off their programs!!
Rashmi: No we do not have any program Rashmi: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/manually-remove-photoshop-elements-12.html (Tech note to manually remove PSE12).  I tried this but I cannot delete the PSE12 folder because it says in that it is use.  But I have stopped all Adobe services.  So used Web Chat for second time.
Chat start time: Oct 13, 2014 9:12:10 AM EST; Chat end time: Oct 13, 2014 10:41:06 AM EST
Duration (actual chatting time): 01:28:55; Operator: Honey Razdan.  Brief overview is that Honey took control of my PC (Honey Razdan: Please visit my virtual room at: so that I can check your computer to uninstall PSE 12.  But she couldn’t un-install PSE12 and it was taking ages for to delete even one folder!  The connection became broke to this chat.
So I tried again: Chat start time: Oct 13, 2014 11:06:07 AM EST; Chat end time: Oct 13, 2014 11:25:25 AM EST; Duration (actual chatting time): 00:19:17; Operator: Aditya Jha; Aditya Jha :        But I can help you only with Elements 13 products; Aditya Jha :    We do have people on forums to help you.
So I spent a whole afternoon (3.5 hours on chat itself) to try and solve this problem. The message I get from Adobe is that you do not support PSE12 but only PSE13 which you have only just issued. Rather than provide a professional support on a just upgraded version you pass the responsibility to the Adobe Forum to try and help me solve the problem.  It is true that most Forums are brilliant with many fine engineers.   But I feel a company like Adobe should provide good technical support and I don’t feel that is what I am receiving.  Your graphic products in comparison to other similar products are expensive.  Although I recognise that they are high quality and functionality.  But this whole experience has left me somewhat disillusioned with Adobe.  I feel that I will never be able to delete PSE12 even though I am ex IT engineer and quite capable of administrating a PC.  I look forward to a reply from Adobe that will restore my confidence not just in your products but in the service you provide.
    Yours Truly

  • I want to upgrade from Photoshop Elements 5 to Lightroom 5.  Can Lightroom 5 read/convert a Photoshop Elements 5 catalog, or is Elements 5 too old to read?

I want to upgrade from Photoshop Elements 5 to Lightroom 5.  Can Lightroom 5 read/convert a Photoshop Elements 5 catalog including all of the tags, captions, etc, or is Elements 5 too old for Lightroom 5 to read/convert?  What's the best way to migrate?  (My catalog has over 100k images in it.)

Adobe changed the catalog software from PSE6 onwards to the SQLite database – as used in Lightroom.
Earlier versions of PSE including PSE5 used a Microsoft Access database, stored in a file called [Catalog Name].psa.
If you have already embedded keywords and captions by writing file info into the images they should be readable even if catalog conversion fails. Lightroom does have the ability to import a PSE catalog but in view of the age of PSE5 I would recommend downloading the 30 day free trial of LR5.6 and then you can judge the level of success of catalog conversion.

How do I upgrade a Photoshop Elements 13 Catalog with Light room 5.6 ? It only sees an older PE 12 Catalog.

At the moment, you cannot upgrade a PSE13 catalog to Lightroom. Perhaps when Lightroom 5.7 is released, this will be possible (and perhaps not)

How can I upgrade my Photoshop Element to the most recent changes. Thank you!

    Hi,
If you mean "How do you upgrade to Photoshop Elements 13 from an earlier version" then you need to buy the new version. There is an upgrade option but if you shop around then you can sometimes buy the full product cheaper. They are both the same product once you have installed them.
If you install Photoshop Elements 13 on the same system as your old version the you can convert your existing catalog to the new format.
Note that Photoshop Elements 13 will not work on older operating systems. The 30 day trial version can be downloaded from here
    Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10
If you are asking about updating the camera raw in your current version then we need to know which version you want to update. Normally, you can go to the Help menu and select Updates.
Note that each version has a limit on the version of camera raw that it can use - again we need to know which version you currently have.

You should be able to re-download the PSE10 downloadable-installer from your Adobe account, if you log in to that—I’ve only ever purchased DVDs so cannot give you click-by-click instructions.  Here is what an Adobe-chat rep just told me:
“If you purchase the download version product you may re download the product from you Adobe account. If you purchase the DVD version and somehow you lost your DVD we can provide trial download link depends on the situation. we are able to provide you the download link if the download link is available on Adobe server.”
If you have an issue figuring out what to do, then you can start up your own chat session by clicking the Chat Now button on the bottom of this page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/download-install-trials.html
They will probably want to know things about your purchase including your serial number so be ready with that if you do start a chat session.

  • Following the recent upgrade to Photoshop Elements 13 the shadows/highlights sliders no longer operate. How do I resolve this issue?

Having installed the recent upgrade to Photoshop Elements 13 the shadows/highlights sliders no longer work. How do I resolve this problem?

Sometimes when problems pop up for no apparent reason it could be that the preferences files had become corrupted. Here are two ways to reset the preferences.
    1. The reset process might be built into your PSE version, as shown in this video:
How to Reset Photoshop Elements Preferences - YouTube
    2. If your version does not have the reset option,  press and hold Alt-Ctrl-Shift (Option-Command-Shift on Mac) immediately while starting PSE. The timing is critical; you may have to try this several times. A dialog box will pop asking if you want to delete the settings file?  Click  YES.
Let us know if either of these works for you.
