Cannot download or purchase garage band from app store

i recently bought a used macbook pro with Lion built in. and when i erased the previous data and re-installed Lion in order to roll back to factory settings all the iLife apps are not there and when i try to download them from the app store i can only click on "ACCEPT" instead of buy and then i get the message that these apps are linked with another apple account. so the main issue is that the Lion has these softwares built in and are not connected to an apple ID and i cannot either download or purchase them.
please help.

I did originally purchase the software, but I cannot redownload the software from the appstore. I keep on getting an error after the download starts and stops after a few minutes. Again, what error message do you get? Did your sister purchase Mountain Lion with her Apple ID as well? You should be able to simply go to the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store and see "Download" to the far right of "OS X Mountain Lion":

After download when I want change my payment method again to none, it says “enter a new VISA CARD to clear outstanding. I am entering my VISA DEBIT card no. but it says again to enter new card no.
When I check my Debit card statement there no payment made to apple, but apps downloaded on my iphone.
And when open itunes and want download more apps it say to enter CARD no.

All content from iTunes is tied to the account that downloaded it, so the id that shows when trying to download updates should be the account that 'owns' that app. Do you recognise the id that is showing e.g. has anybody else downloaded or synced content to your iPad ?

Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

Trouble with downloading os x mountain lion from app store

Hi! I purchased the new os x mountain lion from app store but I have trouble with downloading it. Its starts the download but constantly stops after few mbs and says an error has occured, check you internet connection. My internet connection is fine, everything else works even downloading other apps. Has anyone an idea how to fix the problem?

The fact that Apple now sells unlocked phones independently of AT&T does not change AT&T's 'no unlock' policy.
The phone you bought is locked to AT&T. So far, AT&T have not announced any change to their unlocking policy and Apple cannot unlock an AT&T iPhone without receiving authorization from AT&T.

I managed to solve my problem without spending 4 hours going to Apple Store.
I don't know why, but Yosemite somehow decided to restrict permissions literally to itself.
1) you need to enable seeing hidden files - paste this in terminal "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES"
2) find the folder "private" and select "get info"
3) give to user "wheel" (this is OS X internal or root "admin") permission to "read and write" this folder and all its contents. I also added user "admin" and gave permissions to "read and write" all the same as to "wheel", just in case.
4) repair permissions, restart your computer and reset PRAM
5) go to App Store and try to update your system.
6) if all worked fine, don't forget to paste in terminal "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO" to hide all hidden files.
Enjoy updated system.

Cannot Purchase or Update from App Store

Since updateing my iPad to 7.0.2 I am unable to update or download any apps from the app store on the iPad. I get nothing in the update section of the store - just a white blank page. When i try and download a new app i just get the 'thinking about it' circular graphic replacing the purchase button and no new app is loaded.
Has anyone had this or have any thoughts on this?

To start off your troubleshooting, I would try out these steps first:
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

HT3702 I only download things that are free from App Store, but sometimes it doesn't let me download something saying there is a problem with a previous purchase? So why won't it let me??

Why won't the App Store let me download things that are free, just because I don't have money on my card sometimes, it's free so I just don't get it??

You can try to make a new account on iTunes Store if you didnt have yet.
I had the same problem with iTunes Store, the only thing you can do is to put some money on that credit card you are using with you account. iTunes Store already keeping some money for the last purchase you made you can see all info on the Account option and then Purchase history ...

Unable to download(purchase) Lion Update from App Store

When I try to download Lion, the download sign in window appears and is populated with someone else's Apple ID. If I change the ID to mine and use my password I get 2 messages:
"We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
Click OK and 2nd message:
"Unknown Error"
iTunes does not exhibit this, and normal sign in to App Store shows correct ID, only the Download Authentication does this. I have been able to update other Apps just fine, this requires a purchase, and is the only difference.

Perhaps it was a display model at one time in the store and someone registered the OS in their name. I would return to the store with the Mac and show them the stranger's name that appears in the Mac App Store when you try to update Lion. Perhaps it is even an employee. Anyway, they need to set this right by you. A new Mac should not have someone else's Apple ID registered into it. That registration sent the unique identifier to Apple for this Mac and registered it to the person's Apple ID. Not cool.

I need my original purchased Lion Software from app store

Why is it that Apple see fit to remove any previous purchased OS software?
What I mean is I am currently working on the latest Mountain Lion software but have taken delivery of an old white macbook which cannot upgrade to Mountain Lion... Therefore I need the original "Lion" software I purchased through the app store....a few years ago.
Surly they have no right to remove what is rightfuly yours from your purchsed software in the app store no matter what version you are running now...
Any suggestions on where I can get this from (Lion OX)

Yes I thought that would be the case but it seems 'Easy' is always not the case regarding the app store... See what happened when I tried to download it.... - Contacting Apple as I live in the UK ....I cant see what the problem is myself... Any ideas your end?

After I made the up grade Montain Lion to Mavericks I had many problems, I have a macbook pro early 2011, and it was impossible to use.
So yesterday I decided to do a clean install of OS X 10.9 system and reinstall my personal files and programs from the App Store.
But when you try to install the latest verssão of iPhoto iPhoto 9.5.1, when the download is approximately 10.3 MG of 1.15 GB it starts to reboot again to appear the following messages ...
"iPhoto failed to download
Use the Purchases page to try again.
An error has occurred during dowload"
I rebooted the system, I deleted the download and started again, I contacted apple support, already tried by the flaps of purchase and also by safari.
Can anyone help?

Could be a few things....
Make a new user account (at least for testing purposes), and try to pull the install through there...

I really can't believe how ridiculous this is..
I try to get something from the app store on my mac.
The only way to download the app store is to first get a mac software update.
I'm willing to pay the $30 for the Lion update.
But the apple website automatically directs me to download the app store first.
And so the cycle continues.
WHAT THE ****!
It is extremely important that I download the app store within the next 2 hours.
But how!!?

You must have Snow Leopard v10.6.8 installed in order to download Lion from the App Store.
You can purchase Snow Leopard > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store
Before you do that, make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements > Apple - OS X Lion - Technical specifications
