Can someone help. I tried to download the 6.83 version of PC sync, but each time it hung at around 10% installation when trying to load PC Sync manager. I have done all the obvious things, including removing all the programs incl PC sync manger and all the Nokia programs from Add and Remove programs. I have usedthe version 3.6 clean up tool, and tried again, same deal. I have reinstalled the old version again (6.7) , but still no go. I noted this last time that PC sync manager does not exist in my control panel list of programs.. so it has not reinstalled. Like others I feel there are left over registry files from the many aborted attempted 6.83 installs, but do not know how to get rid of them. I installed the old version (6.7) on my laptop and presto, it worked. Can someone help please in how to clear the possible registry issues that make the installation hang at the level of PC Sync manager installation? I do not wish to spend the rest of my life copying my outlook files to my laptop to synchronise my phone each time.
Appreciate any help, or an update from Nokia as to when there may be a tool to clean up failed installs of the new version of the software.

Hi,
Maybe system PATH information is somehow cleared "during automatic update" and thats why Pc Suite is not working anymore.
Anyway, go to control panel > add or remove programs > pc connectivity solution > change > repair.
if that did not help, install PC Suite 6.83.

I am unable to download Adobe reader to update my system as I only have version 7 on my computer. Normally I would be able to download direct from Adobe and my system would update but when I try to download a message bar appears which states on the left hand side "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page" and on the right hand side there is a button which states "install missing plugins". When I click on the button a dialog box appears which states "no suitable plugins where found with a message next to a manual install button "unknown plugin(application/getplusplusadobe16299)
You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else. -
Letterbox downloads and installs and is enabled, but does not produce the 3 columns in the mail window. I had the same problem with 10.6.7 and now 10.6.8. The download is the latest version (0.24b9) and the forums indicated that it works with both osx versions. I have tried deleting the letterbox plug-in and then reinstalling, but still no luck with the 3 column mail page. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks
i just fixed this on my machine running 10.6.8. the typical workaround is to add appropriate UUIDs, which get updated with each new os build, and break plugins (see here). Follow those instructions, but instead of adding the UUIDs they suggest for 10.6.7, add these (I found them on my machine running 10.6.8, and they work):

for fixing on os x version 10.6.7, this may help (though letterbox 0.24b9 should work already).
i emailed the author (aaron harnly, harnly.net) about this, but haven't heard back (a few days). to be sure, i am quite grateful, as i think we all are, for his excellent plugin, and this workaround is quite simple for dealing with updates. -
Hey, I'm having trouble launching Itunes, I wanted to updated but it didn't open so I wento to this page and downloaded the latest version, and now Itunes doesen't want to launch again. Help me please and also I want to know if my music will be erased?!?! Sorry for my ignorance but i'm not good at this kind of stuff. I will aprecciate a lot if you could help me please!!!! :c

Uninstalling or reinstalling the iTunes application won't affect your music (data) -- but it's always a good idea to have a backup!

I keep getting the message when I open Muse CC, that the latest version is here and that i need to download it... But when i click "Download Latest Version" and it takes me to the applications manager it tell me that Muse is "Up to date"..... That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get itunes to launch properly afterwards? -

i upgraded my Itunes to the latest version and now it won't let me view my library with the column browser. Can i get that back? I tried using the shortcut for it and nothing happens. We need to sort out some facts here first:
• You cannot be running Mt. Lion on your iMac G5. What Mac is it? What is the Model Identifier listed in About This Mac; More Info; Hardware Overview
• What is the model of your Epson Scanner?
• Have you attempted to scan using Image Capture, located in your Applications folder?
• Your Palm Pilot software will only run in Snow Leopard; so depending upon which Mac you have, you will either have to:
1) partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it to "dual-boot" when you want to access you Palm software, or
2) install Snow Leopard Server (now available from Apple for $20 telephone orders USA & Canda only) into Parallels 8 to run your Palm software in Mt. Lion:

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.

Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.
