Cannot download program into computer

I have been trying to download the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for Woindow's 7 and the Adobe Premier Elements for Windows 7 but it will not download into my computer.
It tells me I have to start with disk # 2 which I do but when I try to download disk # 3-4- and 5 they won't go through. I purchased this today at staples I paid over $100.00 dollars
for the program... And I cannot get it to go through.... Can you help me with this...... Thank You Beverly Doane.... I have tried putting this through with my husbands name because
we changed our e-mail because of some unwanted emails from people. His e-mail address is <removed by moderator>.  Our old e-mail was <removed by moderator>. I tried to change it to
my husbands e-mail but it would not accept it...... Can you help me with all of this.. I sure do pray that I have not wasted $100.00

Retired Crafter first it sounds like you are trying to install the software instead of downloading  The downloading terminology is utilized when you are downloading a file from a computer over a network connection.  Installation is when you are trying to place the software into the correct location on your computer so that you can utilize the program.
As for how to install it will depend on which version of Windows 7 you have.  Is it Windows 7 or Windows 7 64-bit?  Depending on the answer you will see a label on the right hand side of the DVD stating to start with Disc 1 if you have Windows 7 or for 64-bit installations begin with Disc 2.  For additional details surrounding the installation process I would recommend reviewing Install | Adobe Premiere Elements | Photoshop Elements | Windows | Mac OS - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/863/cpsid_86374.html.

  • Uploading to online data storage: Now cannot download songs into iTunes

    Hello all.
    I am not seeing this one on any FAQs, knowledge bases, or discussion boards yet:
    I am doing my initial upload of files to SugarSync, a highly-recommended online data storage service. Since I started, I cannot download songs into iTunes, even from the iTunes Store.
    On any new downloads from the iTunes Store, the song DOES appear in the Music library view but immediately after completing the download it shows the exclamation point warning that the file is not in its location. The new folders get created properly within the iTunes Music folder but the subfolder where the song should be is empty. Each time I had to write iTunes Support to get them to make the files available.
    I can still add files manually, no problem. E.g., I can add *.mp3 or *.wav files or folders, I can convert them to AAC, etc. The glitch seems to occur only when automated loads into iTunes are operating.
    As a test, I downloaded a song from Amazon. Here the problem was different but I could work around it manually. Normally the Amazon process loads songs automatically into iTunes, too. Here again, the download did create the proper folder in the iTunes Music folder, as it should, but this time the symptoms were reversed:
    (a) the mp3 file WAS in its folder as it should be (w/the iTunes DL, the file was NOT there)
    (b) the song did NOT appear in the iTunes Music view (w/the iTunes DL, the song DID appear)
    (c) I was able to browse to the file and tell it manually to load into iTunes (w/iTunes I had to write Support and wait a day).
    (I wonder what's the cause of the differences between the two cases.)
    Strictly speaking, I can't PROVE the problem has anything to do with SugarSync (which otherwise seems good so far), but the DL problem started as soon as I started using it. Something in the SugarSync upload or file-monitoring process, or an odd thin gin iTunes, seems to be preventing automated, direct loads into iTunes. And since the data service runs in background, so it can monitor file changes, that might mean I can't buy music anymore! Obviously that would be a dealbreaker with SS. (I have contacted SS on this but they've not had fair chance to reply yet.)
    1) Anyone else have this problem?
    2) Is this permanent or just temporary while I am doing the initial upload?
    3) Anyone know a solution?
    (FYI, I am a highly-experienced user and otherwise quite handy with iTunes files, library moves, and backups. My library is entirely consolidated and all AAC.)

    (Oh, and this occurred in both iTunes 8 and the new iTunes 9, so it seems unrelated to the upgrade this week.)

    UPDATE 1. CHANGING BROWSER HELPED -- OR DID IT?
    I called Apple iTunes Support, who said the problem is new to them. The technician's hypothesis was that something, perhaps browser-related, was interfering with the initial creation of a temporary file (which should go to the Recycle Bin) that instead causes the completed file to go to there.
    He noted that iTunes, though not going through one's browser onscreen, does use settings within one's default browser. I use Mozilla Firefox, so we switched to IE as the default browser, restarted iTunes, and the song downloaded with no problem! Then I switched back to Mozilla, restarted iTunes, and it worked AGAIN with no problem!
    (Dutifully I advised SugarSync, which is still investigating.)
    UPDATE 2: ARTIST NAME CHANGE - SOME FILES GOT MIS-MOVED / MIS-CHANGED
    Definitely something still wrong. This time some pre-existing song entries (not new downloads) lost their connection to their source file.
    In iTunes, which manages folder names for artists and albums automatically, I corrected the spelling for an Artist, so immediately iTunes renamed the folder, and automatically SugarSync noted the change to be uploaded. While the changed folder name and all the songs within were still uploading to SS, in iTunes I saw exclamation points come up -- but only for some of them. Most files got moved or changed correctly, but several lost connection to their file (i.e., the file was removed for the original misnamed folder but never moved into the correctly-named folder). Weird.
    Worse, in only some of those cases did I find the missing *.m4a file in the Recycle bin. (I had to retrieve old, original *.mp3 versions from another folder and re-import each into iTunes manually.) I've never seen iTunes have a problem managing an Artist rename until I started using the live SS process.
    (I've reported this to SS and asked if there is a way to disable temporarily SS to see if that's the problem.)
    [Note: I am willing to try downloads again but I am wary of trying to rename entire Artists (Folder) again. That was a lot of work.]

    UPDATE 3: SERIES OF TESTS - 1 FAILURE USING iTUNES
    Still problem occurs, but not always. Today, I rebooted PC. I tried CD, iTunes, & Amazon. I varied having the browser open when using iTunes.
    Here are the results of a series of attempts to download songs. "FAIL" means the file did not load properly into iTunes or loaded but lost its connection (exclamation point warning).

    I have downloaded google search app into my iPad but i cannot download to my iphone.  At the AppStore I can see google search app but it does not allow me to download it, i.e the download icon is grey.
    Have removed the app from iTune library.

    Try rebooting the phone:
    Rebooting your iDevice
    Hold down the Sleep (On-Off) and Home buttons together for about 10-15 seconds or until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears - then let go of the buttons. The iPad should begin to start up.
    If that doesn't work then Restore it: Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings.

    When I try to download programs from common sites like CNET, Apple, Adobe, and even Mozilla.....I get this error each time I try...
    "C:DOCUME~\John\LOCALS~1\Temp\xVW2PjKI.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
    Try again later, or contact the server administrator."
    (without the quotes)
    Tried with add-ons disabled..... NO DIFFERENT ! (safe mode)
    I can download images but not programs Like FF8, Safari, Adobe Reader etc.. (and the strange series of letters and numbers are always different !)
    My server is fine AND I can do downloads with IE !!! without any problems at all.
    Anyone got any ideas PLEASE !

    I am going to answer my own question. Nobody else sent any responses for quite a while...... so, since it seemed that the problem was NOT about the profile.... as I have an earlier version of FF in a separate folder....and '''IT WAS ABLE to do downloads OK.......... then the problem must be a corrupted file in FF.'''
    A fresh re-install, keeping all my personal data intact, solved the problem !
    Use Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and uninstall.
    Then download a fresh (but same) version of FF...and do a custom install.
    Problem Solved !

    My computer crashed along with my CS5. When trying to download CS5 on new computer it recognizes my serial # but will not allow to download. I suspect my 2 download limit is reached but have no way delete from old computers So I can download on new computer How can this problem be resolved?

    Contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.  Then you should be able to activate a new installation.

  • Cannot download to my computer

    Hi, I use to be able to use Firefox with no problem. One day I went to open it and it just sat there and did nothing. I've tried looking through my processes for Firefox to be running and it's not showing up. I've also manually deleted Firefox from my computer and moved it to my recycling bin. I was not able to remove Firefox automatically with add/delete programs. When I do go to download Firefox I tell it to run, it starts to extract files and then nothing happens, it just sits there. I don't know what to do now. I'm running Opera on my system but a lot of my sites I frequent say to view in Firefox. Can anybody help. Please. Thanks.

  • Cannot download movie into my Macbook from the cloud...

    I have purchased a movie from iTunes on my iPad Mini. Now I want to download it via the cloud into my library on my Macbook Pro. I had very little issues with downloading from the Cloud, since I have purchased it from my iPad. But this particular movie does not want to download into my Macbook. I tried to click on the Cloud icon many times with no avail. And I have it unhidden in my Purchases. And strangely, if I want to purchase the movie again, the buy HD button will not let me make the purchase of this movie. After all the posts I found here in Apple Support Communities, I cannot simply download this movie into my Library as I prefer not to connect my iPad Mini to my Macbook to transfer the movie. Any other evidence to resolve this problem?

    OK, it is possible that all of the songs have not been processed by iTunes Match.  The process tries to match songs first, then for those it can't match, it will upload a copy.  Uploading can take hours, sometimes days and often new users of Match try to access songs before they have been uploaded.  They see the song titles, but the songs are grayed out.
    What can be confusing is that many times most of the songs on a CD will match, but one or two will not and have to be uploaded. 
    You might want to read some of Apple's support documents related to iTunes Match.  Also, if you have not changed your view options in iTunes, you should do that.  With Match enabled, you have two new view options.  One will show you the status of all your tracks, so you can see if they were matched, uploaded, marked as having been purchased though the iTunes store, or marked as ineligible for the service.

    I have been on the phone all day with Mac and cannot seem to get my pictures from my CF Card off my Camera or off My multi card reader.
    Have tried everything ! I think ???
    I even reinstalled my install discs .

    Here are the details :
    - NOTHING happens , that's the problem....
    - iPhoto does not prompt me in any way to upload photos.
    - there is no link on my desktop to click on instead of iPhoto like there usually is if I don't want to use iPhoto to import.
    - Nothing happens, even when I pull the connection from my camera or from the card reader , I am not told that I should have "ejected" first.
    -I tried image capture several times but that does not work either
    -I tried using the other USB port on my laptop and that does not work .
    -I have not dragged to folder because there is nothing to drag from .
    Basically my laptop is refusing to recognize anything with a CF card attached to it. I did plug in my old external hardrive and my computer recognized that right away. I have tried other CF cards and that does not work .
    Kinda pulling my hair out right now , with deadlines and clients waiting and the Mac people not really knowing after 4 hrs. on the phone today with no solution.
    I was reading in another forum by "Toadcellar" that I should have iPhoto5 or iPhoto6 installed just in case iPhoto 8 crashes......Is this really true ??
    I really dont want to complain but I feel like a juvenile here , with 10 years of PC use and now 2 months on my new Mac and all these problems.....

    If your products are registered with Adobe, then go to the Adobe website http://www.adobe.com, sign in with your Adobe ID and Password, in the Search field type in "My Products". Follow the "My Products" link to your products page. Clicking on a product in that list should reveal its serial number.
    If you purchased from Adobe direct, then you should be able to download installation files for the product by going to My Orders at the Adobe web site. Also, see Other downloads

    Are you syncing like this?
    Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
    Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
    Click on the Music Tab on the right.
    Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
    Click on the Sync Music Heading.
    Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
    If that does not work, post back and describe what is happening. All you said was that you can't sync music, but you provided no details at all as to what is actually going on.

  • 1.4GB DVD cannot be inserted into computer

    I just bought my first Mac. I'm having some problems attempting to insert a 1.4gb DVD (The smaller DVD that you use with a camcorder) into the Mac. When I insert it, it immediately spits it right out.
    Is there a caddy, or something I have to use to get this to work, or will this just not work with a mac that inserts DVD media vertically?

    Any size disk that is other than standard 12cm will not fit into the iMac's optical drive, nor is it supported. Do not put anything that is not 12cm in diameter in the optical drive as it may damage the drive and/or the disk. You're lucky that the drive just spit the disks out. As far as I've heard of people putting smaller disks in their drives, they become lodged and non-removeable.

    On the account page you can deauthorise users but that is just for computers.

  • Since the installation of Firefox 8, I cannot download a specific file type from email. I use this for work and MUST be able to open these files with a specific software. When FF opens the file, it changes the extension and it will not open. Help!!!

    I use the Microsoft Outlook Web App for work email. I receive files with a .RXML extension. This has always worked just fine until the latest version of Firefox came out (I was using FF 7 until this weekend). Now FF changes the extension to .ashx when I open the file and I cannot download it into my software. If I go to the company internet site and download directly from there, it does the same thing. But I can open these files just fine from IE. I REALLY don't want to have to go back to IE.

    I opened one of the PDF files in notepad and these are the first couple lines:

    My 10.3.9 computer is in reasonably good shape; and the last AirPort
    download did not seem to apply to it; sure, I downloaded one, but the
    other did not seem to apply. And from what I heard from a few user's
    experience after one of the 10.4.7 Airport downloads, I'm glad it didn't
    want to be downloaded in my situation; since my wireless just works.
    And there's nobody nearby to try to gain access to my wi-fi system.
    Did you try repairing disk permissions before any download/install
    attempts; and is the system in otherwise good general repair?
