from HP website, i can select the software to download but when I am asked to confirm my operating system, the HP time waiter appears and turns for ever without finding the software to download

Below are the drivers for the HP Deskjet 3054 (J610) printer:

Be aware that those are intended for the Deskjet 3054 model as described and not for the 3054A which is a different model...

HP Envy 5530 cannot download software for MAC

I just bought this printer today. I got the wireless set up and have successfully printed from my ipad and iphone. I am unable to print through my macbook even after using the CD in the box and downloading the software from HP's site. After the install it asks me to "Add Printer". After it searches for the software it says that "the software for this printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer's manufacturer for the latest software." I've tried to print via USB and the same issue occurs. As I mentioned I downloaded the software right off HP's site.
If I am unable to resolve this, I will have to return it.
Please advise.

I can certainly help you with this "the software for this printer is currently unavailable..." message.
Let's perform a hard reset. To do so, leave the printer on and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, hold down the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release any built up power, then after the minute has passed, plug the printer back in.
Before trying to add the printer again, you will need to shut down the computer for a moment. Please do not click restart, it is important to perform a 'shut down'. Once you turn the computer back on, you can then add the printer

There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone (or another iOS device)
See the steps below for error codes 3000-3999.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

Given your short description, I cannot tell exactly the method you are attempting to use...there are several. OTA on the device? Direct with Desktop Software? USB connected using the RIM update website? Loader.exe? BBSAK? Some other method?
Nevertheless, I recommend this method. At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for each model. Please use those as reference as you proceed.
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:

Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. You can even use a different carriers OS package by simply inserting, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

Satellite L510 - Cannot download software from different pages

I can open internet sites but cannot download software.
Windows Explorer not responding.
I can download on my desktop PC so is not a Internet provider problem.
Microsoft thinks is a setting problem. I've just installed Windows 7.
Can anybody help?

Maybe there are some settings in your Internet Explorer which prevents the pop up and therefore you cannot download any files
I recommend checking this in the Internet Explorer options
Did you try other internet browsers? For example firefox?

I have the HP 2610v Photosmart All-in-One printer.... I do not have the disc that came with the printer.... Running Windows 7.... Printer works from computer.... Can fax.... Cannot download software or Solution Center....
"HP" does not show up on "All Programs" list when I click on "START" and is also not listed in the Control Panel programs list.... Cannot use the features on the front panel ( message reads "you need to install or run HP software for this feature")
I have tried for months and followed this site.... but I still cannot figure out the problem.

Need to download software for HP Photosmart 7600

Need to download software for HP Photosmart 7600 because my computer crashed and the company who fixed my computer said to reinstall the software however I can't seem to find the cdrom. So I went to this site to download it to Windows XP to this file name below. I followed all the instructions and even checked to see that my printer was NOT hooked up to the computer. The error says the following"The system cannot find the file specified"

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:

Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)

Which exact model iPad? It would almost certainly state system requirements on the packaging.

Try going to System Preferences>Security & Privacy and under the General tab...
...select "Anywhere". Note that you'll need to use an admin account to access these settings.
