Cannot download the latest itunes on Windows XP
The iTunes Download asks if you want to save the file, then disappears. The file is not saved in the Download desktop file previously used. This occurs only on my XP PC, not my Vista laptop.
Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. CoreMedia.dll is part of Apple Application Support.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I Can't Download The Latest iTunes For Windows.
I go to the site and click download and then it asks me where I want to save the installer and I save it, I go to where I saved it, there is nothing there. How can I get this to work?

I recently downloaded the latest iTunes for Windows update, and now when I open iTunes my menus are in Korean. I live and work in Korea but want my menus in English like they always have been. I've never had this problem with updates before. How can I get English back? I'll appreciate any help.

General is the tab on the left
Language is the last drop down control
English (UK) & English (US) are 9th and 10th on the list
Close iTunes & reopen to effect the change

I downloaded the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed. But, I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either. Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window. Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.
Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

There is a screen in the itunes website that states I have downloaded the software, but when I open it whatever I downloaded states it is not a VALID WIN 32 APPLICATION. The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.
