Cannot download updates app's, error 4

I cannot download updates in app store. I get the message that there is an error (4). iPhoto and iMove

Did you check your security software settings?
Error 3000-3999: (3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3164, 3194, and so on) Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, an entry in your hosts file redirecting requests to gs.apple.com, or due to your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try without using one or with a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.

  • Cannot download/update Apps from iPhone 4. Able to log in to iTunes Store

    Here is the skinny,
I cannot download apps or update from my iPhone. It gives me a warning "Cannot download this app. Please use the Itunes Store from the computer." I am able to connect to iTunes on the iPhone, but just cannot download anything. From my computer (Pc/Mac) I can download apps, but it's annoying that I have to sync to update my apps.
This happens when I am on both wifi/3G. I've reseted my phone's network setting.
I've been searching around and I do not have shipwreck or sylvian game thing.
    Thank you

I have the same problem too, I can't download updates on my iPhone or on iTunes, I can't sign in to my Apple account after I logged out, I tried changing my Password but nothing has changed. When I turn off my iPhone and try to long on to my account in the App Store, it says "Cannot Access (acc email). Review your account information in Settings."
What's going on? I still can't access my Apple account on iTunes.

  • Cannot view any Apple ID in settings, cannot download/update apps

If anyone could help me with this problem I will be eternally grateful.
I have now had my iPhone replaced on 3 seperate occasions since the beginning of January because of various faults, the shop have said they will refuse another replacement so I really need to find out what is causing some of this stuff.
Basically, originally, after a few weeks of happily using my iPhone 4 in a really standard way (no jailbreaking etc. just a few average apps) eventually when I tried to download a new app or update an app I already had, a message would come up saying 'Do you agree to the new terms and conditions' ... I press agree, then an error message appears and states that I have to enable cookies in order to continue. My cookies are already enabled, I have cleared them, restored my iPhone, done everything. Nothing changes that message, every time I have to agree to the terms and conditions and then it tells me to enable my cookies.
This must be in someway related to my other problem. In Settings > Store > View Apple ID. A loading screen appears, then after a while it says enter account info. I do this, then a loading screen appears... then it asks me to enter account info... This happens with any Apple ID (even the guy in the shop tried to use his) It just refuses to show anyone's ID.
So I picked up a new iPhone today (for a seperate reason, the back was wobbly) and I've taken it home and plugged it into iTunes. In order to update the software I had to start it up as a new iPhone. While it was in this new state I checked my Apple ID - everything fine. Then I restored it to the backup I made earlier today, now my Apple ID doesn't work. I am currently in the process of restoring it to an older backup (from about a month ago)
I am fairly certain this will fix the problem of viewing the Apple ID, but this isn't really satisfactory as I have now lost all my photos/contacts/notes/calendar/voice memos/apps/etc...
Does anyone have any idea how I can just avoid this Apple ID / AppStore cookies problem??!
*Sorry for this essay, here are the cliffs:*
-After a while my first iPhone stopped allowing me to download new apps/update them
-A message would appear telling me to enable cookies every time I tried to do anything
-Then I noticed that in Settings > Store > View Apple ID - It wouldn't allow me (or anyone) to view their Apple ID
-The shop replaces my iPhone due to this
-Still having the same problem, I just want to get rid of the problem rather than backing up to a really old backup of my phone
If anyone has any idea I would be so grateful

I suggest reading the manual, but for now:
    Backing Up iPhone
iTunes creates backups of settings, downloaded apps and data, and other information on iPhone. You can use a backup to restore these items to your iPhone after a software restore or to transfer the information to another iPhone. See “Updating and Restoring iPhone Software” on page 252.
Backing up iPhone or restoring from a backup isn’t the same as syncing content and other items (such as music, podcasts, ringtones, photos, videos, and apps that you download via iTunes) with your iTunes library. Backups include settings, downloaded apps and data, and other information on iPhone. After you restore iPhone, you need to sync again to get your music, videos, photos, apps, and other content back on iPhone. See “Restoring from a Backup” on page 253.
Apps downloaded from the App Store are backed up the next time you sync with iTunes. Afterwards, only app data is backed up when you sync with iTunes.
    Creating a Backup
iTunes creates a backup of iPhone when you: Â Sync with iTunes
By default, iTunes syncs iPhone each time you connect iPhone to your computer. See “Syncing with iTunes” on page 56. iTunes won’t automatically back up an iPhone that isn’t configured to sync with that computer. You can also sync manually by clicking Sync in iTunes. Note that iTunes creates a backup only once each time iPhone is connected to your computer, before the first sync that occurs. If you sync again, iTunes doesn’t create another backup.
Â Update iPhone iTunes backs up iPhone before updating iPhone, even if it isn’t configured to sync
with iTunes on that computer. Â Restore iPhone (if you choose to back up)
iTunes asks if you want to back up iPhone before restoring it.
For more information about backups, including the settings and information stored in a backup, go to support.apple.com/kb/HT1766.
    =============
With the phone connected click on the Info tab. You will be able to selet a desktop app to sync calendar and contacts. On a Mac you will normally choose iCal for the calendar and Address Book for contacts. Whenever you sync any changes on either the iPhone or Contacts will be copied to the other platform.

  • What should I do if I cannot download/update apps?

I have already turned off phone, and checked for updates.
It is also concerning that my Mental Case application won't sync from my computer to my phone.
    Thanks for your help.

Check that your device has an active internet connection.
Be sure that you have the latest software installed on your device and your computer. Automatic Downloads requires iTunes 10.4 or iOS 4.3.3 or later.
You can download the latest version of iTunes here.
You can find the latest iOS software update here.
Check that your computer is authorized for your Apple ID. For more information about iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization, see this article.
Be sure iTunes is open on your computer. Once iTunes is open, choose Check for Available Downloads from the Store menu in iTunes.
Check to see that you are signed in on your iOS device or computer with the same Apple ID as is being used for your purchase.
Check that you have Automatic Downloads enabled on your computer or iOS device. For information about enabling Automatic Downloads, see this article.
    Note:
Automatic Downloads and downloading previous purchases are not compatible with iPhone 4 (CDMA Model).
Automatic Downloads and downloading previously purchased Music is supported only in the US and is not compatible with iPhone 4 (CDMA Model).
TV Shows are unavailable through Automatic Downloads. Downloading previously purchased TV Shows is available starting in the United States, and is not compatible with iPhone 4 (CDMA Model).
Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer on the iTunes Store.
    Additional Information
When you sign out of your Apple ID on your iOS device, you must re-enable Automatic Downloads on your iOS device again. See this article for information about enabling Automatic Downloads.
If you are signed out of your Apple ID, Automatic Downloads will not be sent to your device or computer. You will need to go to your Purchased page on the iTunes Store when you sign in to download your purchase.
On a Windows computer, if you have Automatic Downloads enabled, you will need to choose Store > Check for Available Downloads from the Store menu in iTunes for your purchases to download.

Did you download the new iTunes update that was also released this afternoon? That might be the problem. The new iTunes update came out today as well as the new iOS 7 update and if you haven't downloaded the new iTunes update it may be a compatibility problem so if you didn't, first update to the new iTunes and try again.

    Hi,
Which operating system are you running on?
What updates are you trying to download?
The last update was 9.0.3 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Photoshop Elements
The last supported Camera raw is ACR 6.5 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-ins -> Camera Raw
Do you have a reason to update?

  • Cannot download new apps nor can I update current apps.  My App Store ID is still my old email address.  How do I fix?

Cannot download new apps or update existing apps.  App Store ID is old email address and not current one.  How do I fix?

If you can't buy/download them with your new account then closing the App Store app via the iPad's multitasking bar and then do a soft-reset it and see if you can then download them
To close the App Store app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the App Store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar
To do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My iPhone 4s cannot download from app store

For a couple days now my iPhone 4s cannot download anything from the app store. I cannot download new apps or updates. It does not give me an error message or anything. It just shows the icon on my iPhone screen and it says waiting right underneath it; I've let it go on for a day and it never resolved anything. It was working fine before and now it doesn't. I have not changed any settings and I know my account is fine because my wife's iPhone is also setup to use my iCloud account and it works without problems. I donnot want to reset my iPhone as it is currently set up just the way I need it; both peronal and work stuff. It would be a pain in the rear if I had to reset everything. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Update to my post.
I called customer Apple support and now my phone works without a problem.
Here's what I had to do:
Try resetting network connections. If that does not work go to next step below.
Connect your iPhone to your computer
Open iTunes (probably opens automatically)Back up your iPhone to your computer
Restore iPhone to factory settings (this is what I did. you can skip this step if you're feeling lucky and go straight to the next step). Try to download from app store, if it works, your set; go to next step.Try right clicking on your iPhone an the left menu (iTunes) if you don't see the right options on your screen
Restore iPhone from previous file (iTunes)
My iPhone did not restore my downloaded apps, no worries, just go to bought apps on the app store/iTunes and download apps into iTunes. After that, just sync your iPhone to iTunes and your apps should be there.
I hope that helps, that's what I had to do. I was able to reset my iPhone and all my settings to the way it was before restoring. I did not loose anything but it took about 2 hours.

  • I cannot download any app from my iPhone 5.

I cannot download any app from my iPhone 5 and only from my iPhone because when I purchase from my iPad or my Mac it works right, and always shows up this message "Could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later", it appears no matter if I download a paid app or free app, it always appears.

As of 5 minutes ago I could not update any apps. It says "cannot download app". I tried using itunes on my PC to download or update and also received errors. Says the file appears corrupt or something.
Apple's sytem status page http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ shows nothing.
    What is going on?
