Cannot drag bookmarks onto the Bookmarks toolbar...I get the slash instead

When I try to drag a web address into the Bookmarks toolbar....I Get the circle with a slash in it...I can't add any bookmarks to the bookmarks toolbar. This never happened in older versions of Firebox, only in version 31. Any help? thanks!

I ran across this same problem once before when I upgrade to Firefox 3.x with one of the add-ons, but I can't remember how I was able to resolve it, if I ever did. The Firefox programmers should put in the option that when an upgrade to Firefox fines an incompatible add-on that it can be either updated to one that is compatible or it can be removed before the Firefox upgrade proceeds. I consider this to be a serious bug in Firefox.

You can reformat the drive but that will wipe all the data on it. Move everything to your Mac. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility. If you need both Mac and Windows access, I suggest ExFAT. Then move it all back

I uninstalled 16.0.1 and reinstalled 15.0.1 and everything worked fine so I reinstalled 16.0.1 and have the issues again.

hello shanonrs, can you try launching firefox in safe mode once and see if the issue is occurring there too? maybe an extension or theme is interfering here...

When bookmarking a page, I can't get the complete list of bookmark folders to drop down in order to select any folder in which to bookmark page. The 'Folder:' bar has 'Bookmarks Menu' showing. The arrow on the bar drops down 5 recent folders to which pages have been saved, but the pop down arrow to the right of the bar just opens to show the three categories and 'New Folder' button. What do you set to get whole list of folders in Bookmarks to drop down?

To all, embarrassingly enough, I have discovered that I didn't know how to expand the three categories including 'Bookmarks Menu' in the 'Bookmark This Page' pop up interface. It was expanded by default on the initial Firefox opening and first page bookmark attempt. Next use it only showed categories. I clicked and double clicked the 'Bookmarks Menu' line, but failed to see the small, shaded triangle used to expand/collapse list. If it appears collapsed, just tap triangle at left of line to see all folders. It seems to open the same way after I do it for first time. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for all the attempts to help.

No there is no arrow besides any of the folders (I do not have any sub-folders); I do have a "choose..." option, but that does not work either in showing all of the folders.

HRESULT: 0x80073712 means ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT, and it is one of the error codes listed at this
KB article.
I suggest you run the System Update Readiness tool and check if the error still persists.

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
1. Delete old Library file
2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension - 'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

You can ONLY use the itunes store of your country of residence.
You cannot use another countrys itunes store.

In Pages '09, I'd suggest trying the View menu. I don't know how that corresponds to Pages for iOS.
