Cannot draw in Flash Pro CC on Surface Pro 3 with latest N-Trig drivers...Is there a current fix?
Cant draw in flash pro cc on surface pro 3 with latest n-trig wintab drivers. Many others online say they have this issue on surface pro 3 also...Is there not some type of current fix. Someone on the adobe forums said the problem was fixed internally in flash pro and that the fix will come with next adobe flash pro update, but when is that?
Flash updates don't exactly come every month or even 2 months, and this issue needs some type of current fix because there are many ppl also having this issue, which basically makes Flash Pro useless, what good is an animation program if you cannot draw in it on a tablet that literally SPECIALIZES in pen/drawing usage. So anything out there ??
bump
its very frustrating as I'm paying monthly for CC and can't use one the programs I need for my design job! Looking at other programs.

How to install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on a Surface Pro 3?
I have downloaded it many times, but upon trying to install I receive notification that it cannot run on this device. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Hey matthewe16314199,
You might need to tell me whether you are running Windows 8 RT or Windows 8 pro on your Surface pro.
If it is a Microsoft Surface RT running Windows 8 RT - then you cannot install Acrobat
http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/surface-with-windows-rt/specifications
Or if Microsoft Surface Pro running Windows 8 Pro (full version) - then only you can install.
http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/surface-with-windows-8-pro/specifications
Please check and then let me know.

I am trying to burn a dvd on my mac book pro but it comes up with an error code 0x80020022. How do I fix it? I have tried rebooting through PRAM and various other options that I found online, but nothing has helped.
ThanksTry using a different brand of DVD's.

OK, it looks like all but the first G5 1.6 Ghz, & the last 3 G5 Dual Cores will take PC3200 RAM...

How do I reinstall Windows 8.1 Pro On A Surface Pro 2?
I just acquired a Surface Pro 2 with a 512 GB SSD. I need to create another 410 GB partition and tried to shrink the Windows (C:) partition. Unfortunately, even through it only currently uses around 20 GB it will not let me shrink
it below 241 GB. I need to get it down to 60 GB.
Is there anyway to do this without reinstalling? If not, what do I have to do to reinstall?
http://www.saberman.comI apologize for the duplicate post but I mistakenly posted in the Windows 7 Hardware Compatibility forum by mistake.

I am trying to determine if it is possible to replace Lenovo Thinkpads some running Windows 7 & some running Windows 8.1 with Surface Pro 2s running Windows 8.1. The Surface Pro 2 has significantly better resolution and a slightly
larger SSD plus the touch screen. Unfortunately, the Lenovos are partitioned with a 40 GB C: drive and a 407 GB V: drive and the applications expect that.
Is there any way to do this without reinstalling? If not, what do I have to do to reinstall and create a different deployment image?

Is it possible to install and run Acrobat Standard or Pro on a Surface Pro 2 tablet?
Does anyone know if is possible install and run Acrobat Standard or Professional on a Surface Pro 2?
and, if is possible to use COM automation to fill AcroForms?
Thanks and regards,
AdolfoDoes it run regular Windows 8 (allowing you to install the same apps as older versions of Windows in the desktop) or does it run Windows 8 RT, where only apps from the Windows Store are allowed? It looks like regular Windows 8, in which case you can try out the free trial of Acrobat Pro.
If it works, the Acrobat SDK (separate download) has all developer information on Acrobat, and you need it (give up any idea you will find code ready for use on Google...) -

[22:10:08.140] deactivating session
[22:10:13.156] caught signal 15
Could anyone help me to figure this out? Thanks.
Edit:
I have also tried running `swc-launch -- velox`, and get the following error:
Running on /dev/tty2
velox: error while loading shared libraries: libinput.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Server exited with status 127
Restoring VT to original state
So, perhaps I am having some libinput trouble. Does this seem correct?

Seems that the problem lies in libinput. Maybe you can report that upstream. I suggest you recompile libinput with debug info and do not strip the binaries to obtain better backtraces.
Well, that's a different problem. libinput has several soname bumps because of API and ABI incompatibility. You have to rebuild swc against the newest libinput. (Although I'm not sure if swc developer updated the code to new API)
Edit 2:
Just to tack this on here for `gnome-session --session=gnome-wayland --debug`
I'm not expert on this, it may be related to libinput problem. If you don't include GDK_BACKEND=wayland environment variable when launching gnome-wayland.

Can current PAGES be used to open documents created in PAGES2009?
Yes with some caveats, but probably your documents are actually Pages '08 format which Pages 5.2 can not open.
You need to open them in Pages '09 or export them from Pages '08 to Word .doc/docx.
If you had iWork '09 before are you sure you don't still have it in your Applications/iWork folder?
You are aware that Pages 5.2 is a lobotomised version, missing over 110 features?

Flash CC 2014 unusable on Surface Pro
Flash CC 2014 on Surface Pro with "disable display scaling on high DPI" checked is unusable.
It's difficult to explain the problem, but basically all content within any window (including tool bar window) is pushed to the right, so far that it is inaccessible. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's unusable. No mater how large you make a window, all the information stays outside of it.
This is a serious issue to me, please tell me that Adobe is trying to fix this.Flash CC 2014 does not function on the Surface Pro 1 whether display scaling is on or off.
When "disable display scaling on high DPI" is checked:
As I mentioned, it looks like the screenshot above (with windows offset to the right). If I were to draw a line with the pencil tool, the line would actually appear offset to the right -inches away from the stylus.
With "display scaling" unchecked:
The windows are not offset in this case, BUT using the pencil tool has a slightly similar effect. As soon as the stylus simply touches the canvas, a line appears from where the stylus is touching reaching across the screen to the right. -
How can I get Flash to work with my N-trig stylus on my Surface Pro 3?
Flash doesn't work at all with the N-trig stylus on the Surface Pro 3 with the latest WinTab drivers installed. The only freehand marks I can make create large useless lines that extend way beyond the lower-right corner the stage. Is Adobe aware of this?
Many people (including me) are also having the same issue. There are several other threads about this too on adobe and Microsoft websites. Some people are even having this issue with tasblets other thsn the surface pro 3, and this is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE BECAUSE WE ARE PAYING MONTHLY FOR A PROGRAM THAT IS RENDERED USELESS BY THIS BUG!! I mean in almost every thread an adobe representative says the problem has been fixed internally and will be resolved with the next update, BUT WHEN IS THAT!!?? I mean if they are gonna sit here and have issues like this, they need to update them NOW not later, as we are paying EVERY MONTH and get updates like every 4-6 months. So instead of getting frequent minor and small updates to address things like this, they decide to leave us paying for a broken program for months until they're ready to release big update which will probably come with more bugs that we'll have to wait forever to get fixed all over again,
but LONG STORY SHORT:according to many adobe reps "the issue has been fixed internally and will be resolved with the next update" -
Surface Pro 3 - i5 with Intel HD Graphics 4400
Windows 10 build 9926
All Latest updates installed
Intel Graphics Driver 10.18.15.4079.
Latest system update released on Jan 22nd (which I understand is just the latest intel graphics driver?).
The display driver status has this error message: Windows has stopped this device because it
has reported problems. (Code 43) - I assume it's
reverting to the basic Microsoft driver when this occurs. Which explains why my displayport (External monitors) will not work.
I have uninstalled the driver completely (and deleted the driver files), tried the Windows basic driver,
and rebooted several times with no luck.
I cannot get my docking station displayport or the displayporton my surface pro 3 working.
According to Microsoft (see below), this is a known issue UNTIL you update to display driver
version 4079 - which I have.
Known issues on Surface after updating to Windows 10 January Technical Preview
On Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3, the Mini DisplayPort won’t work on the Windows 10 January Technical Preview until you’ve installed graphics driver 4079 or later. Check Windows Update often for the most recent graphics driver.
On Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3, you’ll notice poor graphics rendering on the Windows 10 January Technical Preview until you’ve installed graphics driver 4079 or newer from Windows Update. Check Windows Update often for the most recent graphics driver.
If you’re using video driver 3496, you may need to start in safe mode and remove that driver. Then restart Surface in normal mode and go to Windows Update to get the most recent graphics driver.Hi Nicholas,
Similar issue has been asked here:
Surface Pro 3 restarting after a series of blank screens!
For error code 43, here is a reference:
Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
For the current situation, please try to wait for the driver update, as display driver version 4079 didn't work well at your side, please submit this through Windows Feedback Tool.

Surface Pro 2 using Bitlocker startup PIN
Hi All,
In our enviorment we're using the Microsoft Surface Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 with bitlocker encryption using a startup pin.
The operating system using is Windows 8.1
We're using the folowing GPO settings for Bitlocker encryption:
- Require Additional Authentication at Startup
- Allow Bitlocker without a comatible TPM > unchecked
- Configure TPM startup > Allow TPM
- Configure TPM startup PIN > Allow startup PIN with TPM
- Configure TPM startup key > Allow startup key with TPM
- Configure TPM startup key and PIN > Allow startup key and PIN with TPM
- Enable use of BitLocker authentication requiring preboot keyboard input
The Microsoft Surface Pro doesn't have any issues with the startup PIN.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 sometimes doesn't respond to the keyboard, there is no difference between a USB keyboard or a Surface Type Cover.
The only difference between the Microsoft Surface Pro and pro 2 is the UEFI bios.
Is there a solution to get bitlocker PIN authentication working on the Surface Pro 2.
The only workaround we've found is hold volume down at startup wich is not a ideal solution to instruct the users.
The oktober firmware upgrade didn't solved this problem.
Laurens van LeeuwenWe have seen the exact same thing as below. For reference, we are re-imaging ours with Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition.
In addition to the issues listed below, I can't seem to figure out how to activate the supposed "bios level" on-screen keyboard that was supposed to be added to Surface Pro (v1) in a Firmware flash and should be part of Surface Pro (v2). Does anyone
have experience with activating that? I read an article a few months ago that claimed MS had addressed the latter with a flash to Surface 1. I hope I didn't dream it. :)
Please address this - I have high level personnel evaluating Surface vs. Dell and this will make a big difference in the final decision!

Surface Pro 3 / "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter"
Hi all,
I've been running the Windows 10 Technical Preview (9926) on my Surface Pro 3 successfully
since January. Unfortunately, I lost all internet connectivity today.
The problem started when I noticed the type cover wasn't working (pressing keys on the type
cover wasn't registering any typing on my screen) and my USB mouse wasn't working either. I tried removing and reattaching the type keyboard but this didn't fix the issue. I had to use the accessibility on-screen keyboard to sign into Windows (thankfully touch
was still working). Once I signed in, I still didn't have typing or cursor ability, so I decided to restart the computer.
Then it got worse. I noticed the Surface Pro 3 was stuck on "restarting" and wouldn't
actually restart. Since it wasn't responding, I held down the power button for about 10 seconds until it turned off. When I turned it back on, the type cover and mouse started working again.
Unfortunately, this is when the WIFI problems began. I had WIFI for a few seconds, and then
I lost internet. I disconnected/reconnected but there was a yellow triangle telling me there was some sort of problem. So I restarted the Surface Pro 3.
When it came back on, there were suddenly NO connections available at all. Opening the "Network
& Internet" settings page gave me the message "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter". And here I am, without internet on my Surface Pro 3, borrowing my friend's computer so I can type this message (he is also running
Windows 10 build 9926 on his laptop and is able to connect to my WIFI with no problems, whereas my Surface Pro 3 cannot even detect any networks). I have not dropped or damaged the SP3 in any way, and there have been no storms or power outages or anything
of that sort. Any ideas what could have happened to the WIFI on my Surface Pro 3?
Thanks for your help...
EthanHi Ethan,
Currently, there are a few compatibility issue between the current hardware and Windows 10 Technical Preview (9926 build), this is mostly related to driver compatibility issue.
I suggest you download the latest network adapter driver package to install, when it is finished, check if it appears under Device Manager.
Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 2, and Surface Pro firmware and driver packs

You can check if you can install the latest firmware package for your device.
Here is an article to talk about such things:
