HI All,
I have setup Virtual DC03 in One of my Site and add this to Site and Services. I have restart the Physical DC02 last night.
One of the SQL Server in this site got some following issues this morning?
1. RDP to IP or Name with following error
No Logon Server
2. Netlogon Event Errors
3. Run Set command and found that logon server is DC03
So i run the nltest /dclist:domain
Cannot DsBind to domain (\\DC02).Status = 1722 0x6ba RPC_S_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE
I can ping the DC but i cannot add any domain users to this server? AD communication has broken?AS

I would recommend starting to check that your DCs are in a healthy state and that your AD replication is fine using
dcdiag and repadmin commands. I would also recommend that you refer to IP settings recommendation I shared here: http://www.ahmedmalek.com/web/fr/articles.asp?artid=23
For the member servers / client computers, make sure that they point only to your internal DNS servers as DNS servers.
Also, make sure that ports required for authentication are opened between clients and DCs and are not filtered: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd857231.aspx

Hi I just bought HP Envy M7 Sleekbook last week and upgraded from 8.0 to 8.1 for Windows 8.
Now I have no sound and this is the error message I get:
This device cannot start. (Code 10) Status Device Power Failure (for Intel (R) Audio Display)
under Sound, Vieo and Game Controllers in the Device Manager.
Anyone else having this issue after upgrading?
Getting a new lappy is stressful enough but to alreay have issues is ridiculous
If the upgrade is not the issue could something have happened in transit? (I have an issue with the way Best Buy packed it for shipment and wonder if it could have been compromised)
Any help is appreciated. Or should Ibe taing this back to best buy and have them address it?

Ahmed, if your HP Envy has an Intel processor chances are it will be necessary to download new drivers for both sound and chipset due to compatibility issues with Windows 8.1. After 4-1/2 hours on the phone with various technical agents and a lot of frustration I finally got one who had the knowledge and training to resolve my issue. I believe he downloaded the new drivers from the HP support site. Good luck!!

Hyper-V Guest Cannot Find Host Domain Controller 2012 R2

Poweredge T320 server as a Domain Controller, file server and an EXCHANGE 2010 server. There are no other servers at the site.
DHCP is from the firewall.   The DC and the file server will be on the host.
The 2010 EXCHANGE server will be on the guest. The Hyper-V
2012 R2 server cannot see the Domain Controller on the host 2012 R2 server.
The Active Directory is requesting to be promoted to a Domain Controller.
I have a logical or physical error in the installation.
It is asking to promote the Hyper-V guest 2012 R2 to a Domain Controller.
I believe I should have only one Domain Controller in this application.
After the Hyper-V guest can see the host domain controller I will install EXCHANGE 2010.
This is a test environment, offsite.
NIC1 – Host IP:192.168.1.130, 255.255.255.0, Gateway:192.168.1.1, DNS:127.0.0.1
NIC2- Only Hyper-V switch checked
Virtual Switch: 192.168.1.140, 255.255.255.0, Gateway: Blank, DNS: Was 127.0.0.1 didn’t work so I pointed it to the host, 192.168.1.130, but that didn’t work either.
Host adapter: IP:192.168.1.150, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.1, DNS Pointing to HOST:162.168.1.130
Active Directory and DNS installed on the guest.
Removed IPv6 from both NICs without any change.
IPAM is not installed on the host or the guest.
Several articles in Internet search didn’t help.

Cannot have multiple domain controllers with Essentials role in 2012 R2 Standard/Datacenter

Microsoft's Technet post on deploying Essentials Role in an existing AD environment states the following:
"The online service integration features only work when the server is a domain controller. Also, integration cannot be initiated if there are multiple domain controllers in the environment. The product team is investigating possible solutions."

Microsoft Essentials Role product team, can you let us know when this will be fixed? I will not be installing Essentials as a Role if I cannot have multiple domain controllers.
As soon as I add another domain controller the Essentials role no longer functions as designed.
This is quite an oversight by your team. Can we have an ETA for a fix to this please?

Hi. We can't give ETA. Most user there that help does not work for Microsoft. (and if a Microsoft's employee help, then it's on it's free time at home or during break)
Thus, for that reason, please call the support to get a good answer on the ETA is it's planned or not. Be advised that the essential's version replaced the SBS, thus it target small office, such limitation can stay for a long time IMO.

I cannot open .berlin domain

I cannot open .berlin domain (for example livemusik.berlin).
When I try the google search page for livemusik.berlin is shown. Is it a temporary issue?
The same on both iOs 7.1 and Mac Os 10.9.2.
On other browser (Chrome, firefox) everything works.

Wow... What a shame. I have register a few hours ago my own .berlin URL and I saw a quickly "OK" at the administation panel of my hoster. Well... I test it in Safari on my iPhone and got a forward to google. Now I test it on Safari under Mac with the same result and as least...
With Firefox, Chrome and Opera (latest versions) it works correctly.
Sorry Apple but it's not a real suprise that new domains are coming and your latest update is very fresh on iOS AND Mac OS. Who knows when Apple will be fix that
I also must noticed that a lot of very old browsers can handle the new domain. For example I test it with iCab 5.0.0 from 2012 or Camino 2.1.2 from 2012 (Yes, I still have them on my Mac ) and works without any problem. So it must be a misconfig. under Safari.
Well... The Workaround is:
Type http://DOMAIN.berlin to let it open in Safari on Mac and iOS.

When i try to watch synced video on my itouch i get "the requested url cannot be found on this server". I am able to watch the video on my pc in itunes. however, i cannot watch it on my itouch.

This is happening to me too. I recently purchased about 4 music videos from iTunes, 3 of them play on both my pc and my iPod Touch but there's one particular music video that will only play on my pc and gives me the same "The requested url cannot be found on this server" message when I try to play it on my iPod. My understanding is that a device must have access to either WiFi, a cellular network, or (best) GPS in order to establish a location. Of course iPhones can access all three and iPads also if they incorporate cellular. However, Mac computers don't have GPS or cellular.
So if a Mac is connected to Internet via Ethernet to a LAN and not WIFi it will not be able to establish a location. Anyway, that's my experience.

Crap thought that text was all the characters I was allotted, not just the title.
Anyway I wouldn't have even posted this if you guys would have allowed me to reply to the already existing thread I found through google. Said about 20 or so people had the same problem and no one found the contributor's answer useful, including myself.
Anyway, I use Firefox, because it is one of two (other being internet explorer) that Trend Micro's security package includes protection with. Same with spyware blaster which I also use but Trend Micro is the deal breaker. Also I like Firefox 4 and your ad blocker is better than google chrome's. However if I continue to have problems with clearing my browser history it is back to Opera and Google Chrome for me. IObit Security supports both of them, it also seems to be the best security system I have ever come across, I will just pay for their subscription and stop using Trend Micro.
This is a very big problem I hope it is being addressed. Only addon I have is your ad blocker. Also this is completely on your end, not ours. I am the perfect test, my computer is brand new, and by brand new I mean I just started using it the other day, the same day my firefox browser kept crashing as I attempted to clear my browsing history.

Any work you do in Lightroom is in the catalog. It is impossible to use Lightroom without a catalog.
In addition, your photos are filed in a specific location, which is determined when you import the photos (this may be a location you have specified or it may be the default location chosen by Lightroom).
So ... unless you specifically choose to delete your photos, your photos have not been deleted. To find them, open Lightroom and select File->Open Recent and select each catalog shown there until you find the one with your 170 photos.
And now ... a word to the wise: as gvb279 and Keith said, you absolutely need to stop doing whatever it is you are doing and learn the basics of Lightroom. You are clearly in need of such basic understanding. Thanks Pallavi for the effort. I tried commenting out, its still the same. It do not throw exception this time. However, It tells me that the recon event is completed and linked to user. When I go to user's profile, I dont see the resource provisioned.

The Account ID in recon manager of Web Console and the Account ID that is stored in the tables, doesn't match.
I wrote a custom code to fetch account and user details and here is the output,

Account with account key : 49 is with user key : [USER_CS]
Getting Account Data......

However the Account Id in recon manager is : 91
This seems fine.
Doesn't this mean, the account is reconciled successfully?

Edit the outgoing mail server setting to be the same for both.
Your outgoing mail server is dependent on your internet access provider (the one giving you the juice to the internet). Many block outgoing mail servers that do not belong to them, unless you specify password authentication, and port of the outgoing mail server. The port of many outgoing mail servers is either 2662, or 587, or 2626. Try each and see which one works with password authentication. Note the password you would use is the same for checking mail at that server.

Again, cannot start multiple domains at the same time

Because the original question is marked as answered and the problem persists, I need to submit it again:
With the latest plugin, in Glassfish Kepler, when I try to start the second server (same Glassfish, different domain) - it'll simply not start (the console remains empty) and after a while I get the time-out message, that the server could not be started. Even if 2 Eclipses are started, there only one server at a time can be started.
This is a major issue for me, can you please help? Is there a lock file that I can delete or another workaround?

Hi. The weird thing is that after the last update it worked for me, too, for a while - but then it didn't. I think there may be some sort of lock that hasn't been released when a forced shut down happened...?
If I start the servers either outside of eclipse (command line), or using eclipse's external tools (which is pretty much the same, I think), they work just fine. And the status in the servers view gets updated to either started/stopped, correctly.
And also, the case when I create domains/start servers outside of eclipse and then create the server in the servers view, the status update works.
So yes, if there are multiple domains started at the same time outside of eclipse, the plugin shows them, but it cannot start them itself.

Reimaged Win 7 PC still cannot ping either domain controller by IP Address, but sees other PCs fine.

OK so this is weird one: I have a Window 7 box that when I went to use it, I discovered that it no longer had access to the internet, but it did see the other PCs on the network. After trying completely different network ports then removing/reading the NIC
and using system restore, I decided to reimage it from scratch and deleted the PC's name from the domain. Here's where it gets strange: Even after a completely wiped and reloaded PC from a known good template, it DOES get an IP address from DHCP/DC/DNS server
(same machine) it can view the other workstations on the domain, but it cannot even get a ping reply back from either of our 2 domain controllers, much less join the domain and it still does not see the internet. This one really has me kerfuffled! It is the
only PC with this problem and I've already scorched the HD.

According to your description, the Windows 7 PC has joined the domain before going wrong. And after a series of operations the Windows 7 still can’t access Internet and it can’t ping DC by IP address.
Have you checked the Windows Firewall to see if the firewall blocked the ICMP packet?
Due to the Windows PC can get an IP address from DHCP server as mentioned above, so what IP address the Windows 7 PC get? And what is the IP address of the Windows 7’s DNS server? We can use
ipconfig /all command to print out the TCP/IP configuration. Because we can’t ping DC by IP address, maybe the Windows 7 PC can’t connect to DHCP server. If a DHCP client can’t connect the DHCP server, it can assign a private IP address of
169.254.0.0/16 network to itself. Then the DHCP client will attempt to find an available DHCP server every five minutes. Obviously, computer with a private IP address can’t access Internet.

Windows 8.1 Pro Cannot Connect to Domain Controllers through Wi-Fi

I have a domain joined Surface 2 Pro running 8.1 Pro Update that is suddenly unable to connect to the domain controllers on the local network. The machine is fully patched. I'm guessing that it is some network level security issue because the wi-fi is working:
It has no trouble connecting to my Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone.
It has no trouble connecting to other Wi-Fi at coffee shops etc.
It is connecting to my home Wi-Fi and gets an address from DHCP on the domain controllers, but can't ping the DCs, access the DCs through remote desktop even using their IP address.
It can ping the router and ping systems on the internet using their IP address rather than hostname.
I can fully access internet systems if I point it at DNS on the router but still cannot access internal systems by name or IP address.
The Wi-Fi network shows as a public network rather than a domain.
It will work fine when it is docked and using the dock's ethernet adapter.
If I use VPN to loop back through my router then I am able to fully access local systems.
None of the other systems on the network are experiencing the same issue.
I have tried the following which didn't work:
Switched off the Windows Firewall on the Windows 8.1 system and a domain controller.
Network Troubleshooting - which told me that the network seems OK but the DNS servers are not responding.
Uninstalling the Wi-Fi device and restarting the system to re-install it.
Resetting TCP/IP.
I am not aware of any changes, but the system did install System Hardware Update 8/07/2014 (again!) but I can't recall if that was when the problem started or was just a coincidence.
Any suggestions?

Apologize for my slow understanding.
I thought as it could obtain IP address from the DC, it should have connections between them.
For the current situation, you may take a try to disable the firewall on the DC, then check the port that used by AD environment is all available,
Active Directory and Active Directory Domain Services Port Requirements, you could take use of this tool:
PortQryUI - User Interface for the PortQry Command Line Port Scanner
If all available and issue still insists, then issue here seems to be restricted with the wireless router. You may try to contact the router side and see if they could offer any further useful information regarding this situation.
