Cannot e-mail photos to myself.

I have recently upgraded to Elements 12. The program will not allow me to e-mail photos to myself. The address is correct but it tells me to edit my preferences. The 'preferences" are grayed out.
What now??

You have to be in Organizer to change the preferences for sharing. Launch the Organizer and then go to:
Edit >> Preferences >> sharing
Enter your details in there. Make sure you have selected whether you want to use Adobe servers or your own e-mail client such as Outlook, Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird.
If you use your own client then make sure it is configured correctly to send emails from it.

I have a feeling the other links are for previous versions of Lightroom, and not applicable to LR4.

I cannot e-mail photos from iPhoto

When I try to "share" my photos from iPhoto, it always says that the server does not recognize the user name/password combination. Yet I can use my e-mail with the same user/passowrd information. When I check the info in iPhoto Preferences, both are identical. Where is the glitch?

Cannot e-mail photos .

When trying to send photos by e-mail the phone tries to send and you hear the 'send' sound but it never leaves the phone. The message eventually appears as an error in the outbox with a red '!' In a circle. I send individual photos and select the smallest size to send and still no luck. I am however able to send photos as part of a text message.
I'm using an I phone 4-s. My carrier is ATT. I'm using I phone software version 8.1.2.
ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry...it is more of a question of the POP acct. info and the incoming and outgoing server info.
On the POP acct. info....I just insert my name and one of my e-mail addresses?
I am not sure what my host name is for incoming mail server, or user name.
Outgoing server is SMTP something....not sure what to insert there.

Have you tried to delete your account from iPhoto and to add it again?
iPhoto > Preferences > Accounts
Select your email account and press "-" to delete it,. Then enter it again by pressing "+"

Not all of the users in our environment have this issue. If the users having this issue, install a secondary email account, Gmail, Hotmail, etc, then they can send through those accounts. Why would the exchange account not be seen to send photos?

Sounds like it worked until the policies associated with the account that are creating the problem were fully pushed down.
Try setting up a new (test) Exhange account and see if it behaves the same way on the phone (after removing the problem account from the phone, of course).

E-mailing Photos from iPhoto not working since moving to iCloud.

Since switching to iCloud, my iPhoto will not e-mail photos. Says the e-mail server cannot recognize my username/password combination. I am lost on this as I am using iCloud for e-mail just fine.

Anyway, I found out something by myself.
I believe that email setup failure seems to be appeared on only those who transferred from MobileMe to iCloud.
Which means that the one who newly joined iCloud.com account doesn't have any problem with setting up the account in iPhoto.
I tested it with my wife's iCloud account, because she just happened to be newly joined in iCloud.com.
Simply, it works fine! but when I switch the sending account with mine then error message again(Shoot!!)
I really hope iApp team could come up with something soon.

After Mountain Lion update I cannot save iMail photos to iPhoto anymore, how do I solve this?

I just did the update for Mountain Lion and now I cannot save attached photos directly from an e-mail into my iPhoto. I was able to do it before without any problems. Is there a fix for this.

As of 2012-10-11, with all the available fixes installed (10.8.2 + supplemental update and iPhoto 9.4.1), this problem is still present. I have confirmed it on three different machines, all of which had all of the latest updates installed.
Hopefully Apple will address this soon enough — I have no problem working around this issue myself, but my mother found it much more challenging.

Email may not be the best way to move pictures.

you can try setting Mail as your email client - it resolves this pfoblem for some people

Strange problem e=mailing photos

I have been sending some photos from my iMac to my wife's iPad.
Yesterday I sent 4, 2 arrived and 2 did not. They are shown as "sent" in my Mail system.
I tried again to day. I resent the 2 from yesterday and another one that she wanted.
The new one has arrived but the other 2 still have not appeared.
All the photos are about the same size, between 100 and 200kb.
I have logged in to her Webmail to check if they were there but for some reason the iPad had not downloaded them, but they are not there either!!!
Any ideas?

After much fiddling about on Webmail and on her iPad, I have finally located the missing e-mailed photos.
They had for some reason been treated as Spam and were therefore not in the Inbox, but in the Spam folder.
That just creates a different puzzle, why were some of the photos treated as spam and the others - all sent from my iMac - appeared in the Inbox??
As a further complication I managed to send the original 2 that did not appear by first sending them to myself on my iPhone and then forwarding them from there to my wife's iPad where they arrived in the Inbox. !!!!
