Cannot edit arrow shape heads in latest Keynote web beta

As of 7:58AM on 4/2/14.  Does anyone know how to edit them?  I would be happy to constrain the arrow shape when resizing, but the head stays large relative to the rest of the shape.  There is no handle or point to edit the head shape, just the body.

To Scxy1234: I also don't know why my paste special options only had 3 choices excluding "device independent bitmap'
To Steve Fan: I created the new second user account in my window 8. It was set as a standard account, not as administrator account as my first original user account. Specifically, i used the same email address with this forum account's to
create this second user account. It means that the second user account in my laptop also was a Microsoft account.
Can you guess what happened after i had logged in to the second user account? I opened some random websites by firefox, copied and pasted all text and pictures on these websites into a word document and onenote successfully without any problems!!!!
I saved this word document and exported this onenote section to a Usb. After that, i switched from second standard user account to my window administrator account and opened the two files which were saved to Usb previously. They were opened and displayed
normally as the same as what i previously had seen in the second user account, i.e. pasted text and pictures were displayed normally. However, when i opened the same web address again to copy the same text and pictures to word and onenote, there were only
text lines pasted successfully, excluding pictures! This old strange problem happened again when using original administrator account for logging in window. In contrast, when using the second standard user account to log in window, copying and pasting text
and online pictures of Microsoft office worked normally.
I truly don't figure out the reason(s) caused this strange problem. I think my case is a special case because i tried all solutions other people had tried but nothing worked.
Please help me!
p/s: when i logged in the second standard user account, i opened the paste special options in word and there were only 3 choices under paste special options, excluding "device independent bitmap"

  • Users cannot edit a shared calendar of a shared mailbox that was deleted from the cloud and recreated on premise

    Description:
The following example account [email protected] is an on premise AD account being used as a shared mailbox in the cloud. We have discovered that regardless of what we do, not a single user can edit the calendar entries.
The following message is shown in Outlook Click to Run 2013 when an entry. "New appointment" button is also greyed out, including "Calendar Permissions" and some others.
This problem started when the shared mailbox was created wrongly by creating it in the cloud first and we had to delete it and start over. The "in the cloud" user was deleted and the same user was created in AD on-premise with the same account name
and then Dir Synced with the cloud. A license was assigned, a user mailbox on exchange online created and the type was converted to a shared mailbox and Editor rights were defined on the calendar folder for specific users.
    Actions performed:
Action01: gave users Editor rights on calendar folder through powershell
Result01: Rights correctly added and can be seen when get-mailboxfolderpermission is ran
Action02: Opened calendar with Outlook and tried to edit entries
Result02: Error message pops up saying "You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder. Right click the folder and check..."
Action03: Opened calendar with OWA of users
Result03: Users can edit the shared calendar on OWA
Action04: Gave users Full Access permission on mailbox with automapping on
Result04: Users can edit calendar in Outlook
Action05: Gave users Full Access permission on mailbox with automapping off (mailbox no longer visible in outlook)
Result05: Users cannot edit calendar in Outlook
Action06: Removed Full Access permission on mailbox for users
Result06: User cannot edit calendar in Outlook
Action07: Removed [email protected] from on-premise AD, performed dirsync, removed account from ms online using remove-msoluser -removefromrecyclebin
Result07: No trace of the account was anywhere to be found.
Action08: Created new [email protected] account on on-premise AD, assigned o365 license to user including exchange online license
Result08: New empty Exchange online mailbox was created
Action09: gave users Editor rights on calendar folder through powershell
Result09: Rights correctly added and can be seen when get-mailboxfolderpermission is ran
(Note: whenever mailboxfolder permissions are modified for this mailbox it's as if they are ran THREE times in a row, the first time they are applied and the powershell gives immediately 3 exceptions behind this:
An existing permission entry was found for user: [email protected]

Any other mailbox does not do this when setting mailboxfolder permissions)
Action10: Opened calendar with Outlook and tried to edit entries
Result10: Error message pops up saying "You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder. Right click the folder and check..."
Action11: Tried on a fresh new pc with first time logon
    Result11: did not help
    Additional information:
We have seen this problem with another user which was recreated, when he shares his calendar with others and people get the calendar invite email and click "Open Calendar" they receive a popup "The folder cannot be found".
My first impression points to a corruption/bug in the GAL on exchange online, since we're using o365 for midsize bussinesses we cannot use the AdressList role to expose the adresslist cmdlts for deeper troubleshooting.
    PS:
Issue tested on different computers and with different user accounts, not a single user can edit the calendar of [email protected] when editor rights are given.
Noticed when editing rights for the shared mailbox in powershell after the first confirmation line
Office 2013 is click to run was updated to latest version, version number: 15.0.4659.1001

    Greetings Gil,
I haven't heard of that one.
    Questions:
Does the calendar in question show up in the "Subscriptions" category of iCal?
If you remove all accounts from iCal > Preferences > Accounts and quit and re-open iCal, does the calendar in question vanish? If so, does the calendar come back when you re-input the servers you need into  iCal > Preferences > Accounts?
Can you provide a screen shot of your calendar sidebar.
While you answer those questions, some troubleshooting to try:
Try dragging one of your other calendars above this calendar that won't delete and then quit / re-open iCal and attempt to delete the calendar in question.
    Failing that:
    1. First make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
    2. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
    3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
    4. Launch iCal and test.
If the issue persists at this point:
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
    Hope that helps!

it happens even if I start a project with project professional.
    I'm the admin user.
    what's the problem?
    Thanks.

CU means cumulative updates, which are intermediate bug fix packages between SP. The latest CU for Project 2013 was release on September 12th. See reference
    here.
Can you try to reproduce the bug with
    IE in compatibility mode?
    Hope this helps,

  • Windows always "send to back" when I open an application, so I cannot edit anything

    Hi,
I just updated my "OSX Snow Leopard" to OSX Lion last night. But something wrong with the windows when I first use the system today.
When I only an application such as MAIL, after about a second, the window will be "send to back" automatically - the window became gray and I cannot edit anymore. That means I can use the window for one second then I have to clike the window again to let it in front!
That drive me crazy. Any suggestions?
Or just tell me how to reinstall the OSX Lion system!
    Thanks.

You may have the Safari window in Full Screen mode.  This is where an app's window (Safari in this case) takes up the full screen, as a "space."  When you run another app, the Safari full screen space moves over to take you back to the Desktop space, to open the window for that other app.
To take the Safari window out of Full Screen mode, move your mouse pointer to the top of the screen, to drop down the Menu Bar.  At the top right corner of the screen, cick the button with the two arrows pointing in.  This takes the window out of Full Screen mode, back to the Desktop space.

  • Cannot edit Facebook Notes with Firefox 22.0 on Windows 8

I used to be able to edit Facebook Notes fine with latest Firefox on my Windows 7. Recently, I got a brand new Windows 8 PC and it does not work any more. I tried to search this forum and the internet but cannot seem to find solutions. Ctrl F5 does not seem to do anything. Any suggestion?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    <b> To Enable SafeMode </b>
*You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
*''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")

  • Kodak EasyShare software - cannot edit some scanned JPEGS - pop-up error

    Hello everyone,
Well, a search through the forums was not even close to what I am experiencing.
The questions first before the background:
    - Has anyone else ever seen this error?
    - Has anyone been able to get through to Kodak support (maybe their web-site is not Safari friendly)?
    OSX is 10.3.9
Using Kodak EasyShare v6.0.2 (v45 SKU10) software (the latest available for this OSX). This appy has been behaving reliably for years.
I have 4 JPEG files that were recently scanned in that EasyShare cannot edit. The pop-up states:
"One or more of the selected pictures cannot be edited using Kodak EasyShare and will be ignored".
I've done Repair Permissions and also maintenance scripts via MacJanitor.
The .JPGs are 20k each, nothing out of the ordinary. I am able to edit (much) larger files.
Yes, the files can be opened and edited with iPhoto but the end user has been using EasyShare and
would prefer (undestandably) not to maintain another photo-management tool.
    Regards,
    Craig

    c-squared,
Yes, the files can be opened and edited with iPhoto but the end user has been using EasyShare and
would prefer (undestandably) not to maintain another photo-management tool."
Does that mean that you did open these files in iPhoto and that they opened fine but just not using the Kodak Easyshare app software?
The reason I ask is that your statement can be read both ways and it is important to know if the jpeg files are corrupt and that is why the Kodak Easyshare cannot open them or if it is something else.
Have you tried saving the photos on your camera and then reformatting it and trying with some new test photos?
Generally these forums are for troubleshooting problems with Mac hardware and Apple software and not third party applications.

  • Anybody know why I cannot edit the contents of my captions?

Okay, I can delete text captions, smart shapes with text content, or failure captions, but for the first project I have started in Captivate 8 I cannot edit their contents.
I just converted a project from Captivate 7 into C8, and added newly recorded slides to it.  Those captions are editable.  BUT the ones from the freshly started project are not.  When I try to click on the text caption at the top of the timeline, or any other caption in the window, my cursor flips from the pointing finger, to the fist, as long as I hold the mouse button down.  Then it flips back to the pointing finger instead of giving me the I-beam cursor for editing.
This is a software simulation and the captions were added automatically during the recording phase and must be edited.
My project is not responsive.  Here is a snip of the editing window for this project.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
    Michele

No, Lieve, that hadn't occurred to me.  I tried it just now and I do get an I-beam, but when I try to select the text all I get is a dashed box that I seem to be drawing with the I-beam cursor.  It draws over the caption and  will go as large as I let it before letting go of my mouse. It doesn't allow me to edit the text.  It is like the text is locked somehow, but you can see from my image above that it isn't.
I have also saved this project by another name and the new one does the same thing.  Am I going to have to go through this course, delete ALL of the captions and recreate them manually?

  • Cannot edit JPG, GIF files stored in a SharePoint 2010 picture library

Created a SharePoint 2010 picture library to store .jpg, .gif images along with other types of images which were created using Adobe photoshop, Tiff etc.
Upon clicking on the .jpg, .gif files for editing purposes, they open in the browser instead of Photoshop so I cannot edit these files for this reason. Other types of image files are editable but not the jpg, gif files. File associations are already
in place for these files to open in Photoshop. Please advise.
    Thank you,
    Mahesh

You can change the default application that opens while you click open document using DocIcon.xml which is present on the web front ends. Please look at this link which explains what you need to update in order to take care of your requirement.

  • Cannot Edit Captions in One File

    Hello,
I'm using Captivate 3, and I have this one project file that I cannot edit the captions in. I wasn't having this problem until I imported a slide from another project. Ever since the slide imported, I haven't been able to edit the text captions. When I double click on the caption I want to edit, nothing happen. If I click once on the caption to highlight it, and go to the menu and click on an option to edit the caption, nothing happens. Captivate is only doing this on the project which I imported a slide, every other project I have opened works fine. I tried to save the file as a different name, and I still get the same result. Does anyone have any other ideas? Am I not doing something right? Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hello,
Could be that the CP-file or objects have become corrupted. I'd recommend creating a new blank file with the same resolution, and copy and paste the slides to this new file. Better not all at once, so that you could perhaps find the "guilty slide".

  • I have an iMac, and have a Verizon DSL account. Recently, my Mac Mail keeps requesting the passwords on my account every few minutes, and will not allow me to send messages using Mac Mail. I cannot edit the outgoing server; how can I send emails?

I have an iMac, and have a Verizon DSL account (3 email addresses). Recently, my Mac Mail keeps requesting the passwords on my accounts every few minutes, and will not allow me to send messages using Mac Mail (the message says that the outgoing server was rejected. I cannot edit the outgoing server, and the keychain will not save my passwords (the ports are valid). How can I change the outgoing server to send emails, and how can I avoid having Mail request my passwords every 2 minutes? Verizon, as usual, will not provide support to iMacs.

Is there an email saved in your drafts or outbox folder?  I suspect that Mail is continually trying to send it, and each time Google is rejecting the email message.
You can open the message and then delete it from your Outbox folder.  Then try removing all @gmail email addresses from it and seeing whether you can send to the other folks.  I suspect that will work.
With email, if an SMTP server *can* verify email addresses, sometimes it will and it will refuse to send messages.  If a message has to be relayed across servers, no verification is done, and you'll get a bounce if an email address is bad.

  • Cannot edit Reminders in iCal

I cannot edit some of the Reminders in iCal on my MacPro. I tried to figure out what's different about the ones I can't edit, and it may be that they are set to "repeat every day" - I can change them on my iPhone with the Reminders app, but it doesn't make sense to me that I can't change that on my computer. I'd like to end the repeat every day w/out having to use my iPhone.
Does anyone know what's the problem - is it fixable?
    Thanks

Please, please, please, report the issue that both alarms and due dates at the same time are not possible as a bug here:http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html. The more people who submit it, the more likely apple will listen.

  • When I get an ICS from Outlook that is a multi-day event it populates my iCal as a single day and since I am not the owner I cannot edit the ICS.

When I get an ICS from Outlook Express (Office is PC based) that is a multi-day event, it populates my iCal as a single day and since I am not the owner I cannot edit the ICS. I have to delete it and send a "decline notice" to the sender and re-enter it so I can put in multiple day events. Help!

If you are running Tiger, you don't have time machine.
You need to get something like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner (sorry, I don't have a handy link for CCC but you can Google it to get their site) to make a clone of your drive on the external and then do incremental backups.  The free versions do a lot and you can upgrade to the full-service versions for small change if you need more.  The one time I used SuperDuper! for cloning a volume it worked just fine.
(My backup application is the last PPC capable version of Retrospect, which does a credible job, or has over the past ten-twelve years.)

  • Business Data List View ONLY Displays records - Cannot Edit them

Using SharePoint 2010, I created an External Content Type. Data is coming from SQL Server. I created a new Read operation on my External Content type. I added a few filters in this Read View.
I have created a web part page in which I placed a Business Data List Web Part. In Web Part properties I chose the VIEW in question. I can now filter my External List data and the Business Data List Web Part displays them. But I cannot edit these
    records!!!
From the web Part properties window, I can ONLY choose Views that are created from READ operations. How do I allow users to edit data and save data in the original source (SQL Server).
