Cannot Edit SIM Phone Number

Hi all
My SIM phone number si showing up very strangely with a load of strange characters, I can click the edit SIM phone number but nothing happens, anyone got any ideas what's wrong?

SIM Phone Number - Uncaught exception (initalValue)

Hello Everyone,
I'm using a 8300 (v4.2.2.180) - Somehow, my phone number on the unit stored in Sim Phone Number, has grown to about 30 digits. It's completely wrong, so I'm trying to fix it. However, when I click on Sim Card, and attempt to click on 'Edit SIM Phone Number', I immediately get an error after I click: 'Uncaught Exception: invalid initalValue'
Does anyone know how I can fix this? I'm running this off a BES but I feel it's more of a device issue.

Cant edit sim card number

Hello all. Brand new phone. Old sim card. Sim card number has a lot of strange numbers after my phone number. when i select "edit sim card number" nothing happens. All of the posts i read seem to end here. Any suggestions when the "nothing" happens? Thank you!!

or you can go to Settings>General>About and that "SIM Card Number" is the ICCID. It should begin with 8901

I cannot verify my phone number in Facetime, iMessage, etc. ??

I am experiencing an issue as follows:
1. I inserted a SIM card in the iPhone 4S from Aircel which worked fine. I didnt activate any Apple Services like iMessage or Facetime.
2. Then the my number field in Settings-> Phone was getting populated properly.
3. I changed my SIM to my primary phone number of TATA DOCOMO
4. The My number field is "Unknown" and the Apple services always try to verify the services with my Aircel number.
5. I am not able to use Jaxtr SMS also which relies on similar activation
6. I even inserted the SIM in other phones and edited the phone number manually, then it showed in the my number section but again Facetime used Aircel number to activate.
7. Please guide what is the issue.

I cannot select my phone number in my appleID for imessages!

i cannot select my phone number in my appleID for imessages, and i dont know why! its there but will only let me pick my email address. and when i try and change the phone numbers in my appleID settings, it says i have invalid phone number, when i KNOW it is valid.
please help!!

I recently synced my moms phone onto my MacBook and this has effected my iCloud,Facetime and iMessage accounts on my Mac,iPad and iPhone. When I look at preferences on iMessage and facetime, it lists my moms phone number, how can I edit that phone number to be mine ? We are both on the same iTunes account.

On your Mac, Sign Out of iCloud, then Sign In with the ID you want to use.

How can I copy, paste and edit a phone number?

If I copy a phone number then paste it, how can I edit the pasted number?
For example, my phone has an Irish SIM. If I am in the UK and copy a UK phone number from an email signature it will typically be in local format i.e. 0208 456 7890. I need to dial 00 44 208 456 7890. I cannot find a way to delete the zero prefix and add the country code.

This one kills me as well - editing phone numbers in the keypad/dialer is a pretty basic function, I could never fathom why it didn't exist. We need to be able to place a cursor, and copy/paste part-numbers! I'm constantly trying to paste just an area code, or an extension, or insert the country code, and I should not need to create a new number in the contact directory to do it!
Currently I do the copy/paste editing in Notes, and then paste the corrected number into the dialer - pointless and inefficient, and contrary to the Apple philosophy of making the user experience easy and seamless...

You might need to start by looking at the change event that is fired once you click to edit the number. Once the user is done editing, you'd need to then re-save the data.

Edit contact phone number

One of my contacts changed her phone number, but Skype 6.-whatever won't let me remove the now wrong information. I can add all the numbers I want, but I need to drop the incorrect phone number, and it won't let me.

Editing of phone number in the dial screen

I would like to find out if Black Berry intends to update this feature into upcoming OS10.2 xxx. I used to have various blackberry phones, but have since sold them off / swapped phones. Although the feature seems rather innocuous and mundane, based on what i have read, there are many users who would like to see this important feature in. Please let me knkow, as i would like to swap back to use the blackberry paltform.

What exactly do you mean by the editing of the number?
The ability to edit the number has always been in the dial screen, just use a two finger swipe from the bottom to bring up the keyboard and use the number or delete keys as appropriate.

Cannot get contact phone number in new Skype for i...

With the new Skype for iphone, I am unable to get the contact's phone number displayed. If I am doing something wrong, someone please let me know how to do this. If this cannot be done, then the new app makes skype useless because I have multiple contacts with the same phone number and need to see the number.

there is no way to see your contact info on latest ios vesrsion. You can see only name. Thats all. what if I want to call someone on iphone instead of skype call using my international subscription. I've to go to my contact info every time as I dont know skype is calling on my contact's mobile no or skype ID. Its frustrating, time consuming and downgrading of the version. Whats the use of skype if we cant access our own skype contact's info? MICROSOFT(It's not '98 it's 2014)Please fix it. Thank you.

Will someone PLEASE help a desperate woman by telling me how to talk by phone to a real person at apple support. Cannot find an answer to my question and cannot find a phone number for support.

I set up my new iPad under my daughters ID because her's is attached to my email. Tried to rent a movie from iTunes. Said I had to answer security questions since it was my first purchase. She didn't remember the answers. So it locked. She reset her password and everything works on her iPad but on mine it still wanting answers to the security questions and we don't have the answers (her questions could have multiple answers...favorite teacher, favorite friend). Is there a way to completely disconnect from her ID or can someone please share the phone number for customer support with me? Thanks so much in advance!

Providing you know your ID and password, you should be able to rewrite your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > password & security.
