Cannot email anything to my own address

This probably sounds like an odd title, but when I am away I write a lot of notes and then email them to my own email address as a backup. I also tend to BCC emails I send to other people for the same reason.
My problem is that none of these emails ever arrive at my email address. I can send emails to, and recaive them from, any other email address with no problems, but anything I email to my own address from my iPhone never arrives, despite there being no problem with anyone else emailing me at that address.
I have checked all my spam filters, etc, on my email account, and all seem fine.
I hope someone can help, it's driving me nuts! I'm using an iPhone 3GS, OS 3.0 and my email provider is BT / Yahoo.

it could be happening on the yahoo side... login to your bt yahoo mail via the website (www.bt.yahoo.com) and then choose Options -> Mail Options then Spam and make sure your email address is not on the list of Blocked Email Addresses (might have been added due to a previous mail attack or spam situation)
when you check the settings for the account on the iphone (Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Select the account your having problems with) what does it list as the Outgoing (SMTP) mail server?
be well

Someone is using my personal email address for their apple ID and I'm sick of it! I can't sign up for my own itunes account or anything using MY OWN email address. My email address is my property, not theirs.
I'm using their account and will continue to reset their password and settings until they either get the message or Apple do something about it and disable or migrate their account so that I can use MY OWN email address for my own purposes.
I don't want to be informed about Apple products and services for someone else on my email account.
I want to be able to use it MYSELF for iTunes
All I am asking you to do is migrate their apple ID to their alternate email account settings and free up my email address so that:
    A. I can use it and B. I stop getting messages about their account history.
Either that or just cancel their account as they have no right to use my personal details.
Yes I could set up a new email address but WHY THE **** should I? I've been using this email account for years for personal stuff, it's not mu fault if someone can sign it up as an AppleID without me being able to confirm their sign up process!
Your move Apple, make it count.

    Hi Sister Kate,
If you change the Apple ID you are using on an iPhone or other iOS device, there are several places you need to change it on the device. See this article -

this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

  • Using Gmail in iPhoto and cannot find any of my groups to email.  I have at least seven or eight groups that I email, each containing over 50 addresses. Is there a way to locate my email groups using iPhoto to send out mail in Gmail? Using version 9.5.1

Using Gmail in iPhoto and cannot find any of my groups to email.  I have at least seven or eight groups that I email, each containing over 50 addresses. Is there a way to locate my email groups using iPhoto to send out mail in Gmail? Using version 9.5.1  (902.17) OS is Mavericks 10.9.1.

Your question and description is not very clear to me, so hopefully something here will help:
    1. Gmail is a service not an app or a place. So you need to access the service with an app - that can be iPhoto, Mail, Outlook or any other mail client, or even a Web Browser like Safari or Firefox.
So you can't "go to GMail" as you write, but instead you go to an application set up to use the GMail service.
    2. iPhoto is not a mail client. It's a handy way to email pics to Grandma, but for what you're doing you need to use an app that supports all of the Gmail service. iPhoto doesn't. There is no way around that.
    3. How to send to groups will vary depending on what app you use to access the GMail service. All of these apps can receive photos from iPhoto, either - as in the case of Mail and Outlook, via the Share function - or, in the case of all the rest - via a Media Browser.
For help sending to Groups using any of these other apps you need to ask omn their respective forums. But the workflow is quite simple:
Using Mail or Outlook set in the iPhoto Prefereneces:
    1. Select the pic(s) you want to share.
    2. Choose email from the Share function
    3. Make your selections re size etc
    4. The email opens up in Mail or Outlook
    - from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
    Using any other app:
    1. In the mail app create a new email
    2. Click on the Attach button or link
    3. Use the Media browser to select the pic(s) you want to send
    4. Attach them
    - from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
For help accessing your photos in iPhoto see this user tip:

  • Tried sending via a list (contains my own address twice), send folder is updated, no email returned, no error messages returned

    T'bird 32.1.0.
I send a newsletter each week to 3 different mailing lists. (my own address is on first list.)
Today I got no error messages. Sent folder contained confirmation copies. No one received a copy.
I created a new list, 2 entries - both my name - sent. No errors. No e-mail message sent.
    Suggestions?

You don't need to use, and shouldn't be using Bcc: in mail merge. Each message is addressed to just one recipient. Since that message is uniquely addressed there's no point or value in hiding the addressees. So you just use To:. Your CSV file attempt sounds better suited, but it can be very picky about the CSV file structure, using quote marks to include spaces and so on.
I don't have any real use for mail merge myself so can't speak for its usefulness or performance. When I have tried even small mailings to just a few of my own email addresses, it seemed a bit fragile and prone to stopping and getting stuck, leaving you with no clear idea of which messages had been sent and which needed to be attempted again.
The mail merge built into the open office/libre office suites seems to work rather better.

    Hey kaliapple,
Thanks for the question. First, you can try deleting and redownloading the purchase by following along with this:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If that doesn't resolve the issue, then you can read how to report an issue with your purchase here:

  • I cannot send emails. i get the sender address was rejected by the server

i cannot send emails. i get the sender address was rejected by the server

    Greetings.
Same issue...... can't determine what username and password are ?
But, went thru process @ apple.com/support and changed port to 25.  :::::
"Relaying denied" or "Email address rejected by the server" when you try to send email
This error indicates that either an email address is incorrect or your settings aren't correct for your current connection. Make sure the email address is correct for messages in the Outbox or try a different port:
If you're on a Wi-Fi network connected to the same network as your email domain, such as your Cable or DSL provider, try port 25:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your email account, then tap Account.
Scroll down and tap Outgoing Mail Server.
Tap Primary Server, then tap Server Port.
Delete the current port and enter 25.
    Tap Done.
Now my iPhone5s is frozen in the "verifying" mode.  I can not stop it???????????????
    Now what?
    thank you

I cannot print ANYTHING from email or internet at all; only from Word. Comcast and Kodak says it's a FireFox problem. I have work to print and cannot. All the letters are little square ones with 1 to 2 spaces in between each word.

Caused by a Bug in Firefox 4.0b12. It was fixed on Monday in the 4.0b13 pre "tester" nightly's. The fix will be in the 4.0 Release Candidate.

My ipad e-mail seems to be locked.E-mails keep coming in but I cannot open or delete them.  As I am frozen on the e-mail page I cannot do anything els.  Any suggestion?   Eve

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • HT204053 Seems my iCloud password is not the same as my iTunes.  Where do I go to reset my iCloud password?  I cannot access anything when prompted to put in my iCloud password because I do NOT KNOW it.  Thanks!

Seems my iCloud password is not the same as my iTunes.  Where do I go to reset my iCloud password?  I cannot access anything when prompted to put in my iCloud password because I do NOT know it.  Thanks!  I've used my iTunes password for everything else Apple does and would like to use the same one for my iCloud.

    Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

  • When we purchased our mac two years ago, we set up the iCloud account.  this past winter I created a new iCloud account thinking I was changing it.  I now cannot access anything on the old iCloud acct and my computer hasn't been backed up either in awhile

when we purchased our mac two years ago, we set up the iCloud account.  this past winter I created a new iCloud account thinking I was changing it.  I now cannot access anything on the old iCloud acct and my computer hasn't been backed up either in awhile.  How do i go back to that old account and delete it so that I can continue backing up on the newest account?  I changed it because the original one I created an iCloud account with is a yahoo account email address and I am deleting my yahoo account for being compromised too may times.

Well, you can go to Manage your Apple ID and change the password if you can answer the Security Questions:
    Apple - My Apple ID
If you cannot remember the Security Questions you can contact iTunes Support to reset them for you:
New iTunes Support - US and ww
Once you get your password reset and you can access your account info on Manage your Apple ID, you can change your ID. You won't be able to use the same email address that you are using for the new ID unless you change that one to something else. But, if you can get back into your old ID and change it to a new email address, then you can go on using that old ID, and just manually move the iCloud stuff you added to your new ID back onto the old one. Most of the stuff (like Contacts, Calendar, Notes) can be added by logging onto https://www.icloud.com on your Mac and doing it that way (it is a lot simpler when you have an actual keyboard in my opinion)
Hope this helps you to sort out the two ID business. If you have any questions, please post back!
    Cheers,

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
