Cannot email some contacts downloaded from iTunes

On iPad2, when I try to email certain contacts, the 'send' button is grayed out and I cannot send email. No problem with other contacts. All Contacts downloaded from iTunes, but downloading from Cloud has same problem. I have an iPod Touch and do not have any difficulties with that.

The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle

I cannot download from iTunes to iPod

For days I have been trying to download from iTunes to my new iPod, but my iPod never shows up in the source list in iTunes. I had to reinstall iTunes because it was not working properly and now it works just fine, but the iPod is not listed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the iPod hardware more than a dozen times over the last two days, I have followed all the instructions I could find online for fixing computer problems, and I still cannot get it to work. If anyone has any ideas, please..I'll try anything.

Your not alone, I am having the very same difficulties and have re-installed, re-set etc etc many times. I also spent an hour on the phone to Apple who could not resolve my problem, and the store I purchased it from is just a retailer and cannot help either. Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

If an iPod is set to update automatically it will be associated with a particular library. If you connect that iPod to a different computer or a different library on the same computer you get the the message you are referring to. "The iPod "iPod Name"is linked to another another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library". To use an iPod on multiple computers you change the update method to "manually manage songs and playlists". You can also use multiple iPods on a single computer so you will be able to connect both of your iPods to your existing iTunes. Connect the new iPod and follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will open and update your iPod.

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

In itunes...preferences you can change the setting to import songs instead of mp4 to mp3. Afer changing this setting, right click to the songs and than you are able to convert to mp3. ths's it

Maybe this will help. If you are running 10.9 you can access your use library by going to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.

HT204406 Uploaded CD last night. I see it in itunes match. However can only download some of the songs. Few have the Icon to download from Itunes Match, however it is not able to be clicked on. It's a lighter icon then other download ones.

I uploaded a CD last night. I see it in my ituned match on my work cpu. I can download 6 of the 10 songs. The other 4 have an Icon to download from Itunes Match, however it is not able to be clicked on. // See Pearl Jam Ten. I can download almost half the songs. The others remaining I cannot though they say they are available. I've reset the cache, I've closed and reopened Itunes, I have even turned MATCH off and then back on. Nothing is working. Please help. Also the song will not play. If I start the album, it skips over these songs.

The number of Songs that 'matched' is simply a function of the current iTunes Match service process. It is not unusual to have multiple Songs in an otherwise perfectly matched album be uploaded - often it is very possible to find the album in the iTunes Store.
The Artwork does tend to reappear for many over a few days / weeks - however, if your library backup has all Artwork present it would be wise to save the Album Art separately and reapply to Albums not showing art work in the library grid view.
Many of the other performance issues you mention are not typical - though during the past working week or so the Apple Infrastructure has been very heavily loaded with multiples countries having service go-live symultaneously.

Are the apps compatible with your model iPod and its iOS version? You say you have a iOS 4.2. That implies a 2G iPod. Many, many apps now require iOS 4.3 or later or a 3G or later iPod.
Also do you have Restrictions turned on that would d prevent installing those apps? Settings>General>Restrictions.
