Cannot enable Calendars on iCloud control panel on 64-bit PC
I have a new 64-bit PC with Outlook 2010 installed. I want to view my iCloud calendar within Outlook. I successfully installed iCloud Control Panel, however, there is no checkbox available to enable Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders. Checkboxes are only available for Bookmarks and Photo Stream. It says that Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders are available at iCloud.com.
Hey RuiEVG,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines troubleshooting information for using iCloud contacts on a Windows PC. It may be that your version of Outlook is not supported:
Get help using iCloud Contacts
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3998
Check the system requirements
Make sure that your PC meets the iCloud system requirements.
iCloud Control Panel doesn't support Outlook 2010 Personal Edition.

Cannot login from Windows iCloud control panel, but that not all...
I set up my Apple Id and downloaded the Windows iCloud control panel, but when I try to sign in from my PCI get this message: "You can't sign in because of a server error." But when I check the status of icloud everything is operational. But if I go to the icloud page directly, I can sign in normally. The reason this is an issue is that I cannot setup icloud on my computer properly and with all of the options I want without signing in from the icloud control panel. This really bites, and any help would be appreciated immensly.
Thanks, ScottI am having the same problem. I really need a solution. My Admin is flying blind without being able to see my calendars.

Why do I keep getting a "you can not sign in because of server error" when I try to turn on my icloud control panel from my Windows 7 PC?

I cannot sign in to iCloud control panel. The spinner keeps spinning
I have tried everything I can find to resolve this. I open the control panel and I am asked to log in. I enter my Apple ID and Password but nothing happens except the spinner appears and keeps on spinning.
I have deleted the MobileMe from my PC and cannot re-load it but others in the forum have found this not to be a reliable solution.
I can log in to iCoud on iCloud.com but none of the applications etc. are synchronised.You'll get that message if your device has already been used to create 3 different iCloud accounts on the device itself. You have to create the new account on your computer, then set it up on your phone. There is no other way around this limitation.

I can't get the iCloud Contacts and Calendar folders to appear in Outlook 2010 using the iCloud Control Panel. Also the datafile share which ends in .aplzod is not created in Outlook. The Contacts and Calendar are sent to iCloud (verified on iCloud.com) but the iCloud folders are not created in Outlook in the Contacts and Calendar navigation panes. I get a message toward the end of the sync process indicating that there was an unspecified error. I'm using the newest version of the iCloud Control Panel, the 32 bit version of Outlook 2010, Windows 7 64 bit, an iPhone 3GS, and the latest version of iTunes. Any ideas how to complete the sync process to the end?
Pretty much the same for me: Windows 7 64-bit, Outlook 2010, iCloud Control Panel 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS. Error report at end of setup process is shown below, and has been emailed. Any help please?

Icloud control panel on a shared desktop
I cannot log in to icloud control panel on my shared desktop. Is there a trick when I install it?
Do you have an iCloud account (you would have made it on a Mac or an iPhone/iPad) it could not have been made on a PC.

I have been using the iCloud integration for some time now with my Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 PC. Since I did the recent upgrade to the iCloud control panel to the latest version 3.0, I can no longer use the integration. I have gone through all of the recommendations I could find on the subject, to no avail.
I have go to the add-ins center on Outlook, and have found the iCloud add-in has been disabled. I then re-enable it. I re-start Outlook, and get a crash message. I close it, then try to re-open Outlook. I get the message that the add-in is causing Outlook to not work, and am asked if I want to disable the add-in. If I select 'no', then I get another crash. I continue this, and eventually, I decide to check 'yes'. Outlook then works fine, but, of course, no iCloud integration. I have tried to sign out of iCloud, and back in (while Outlook is not running), bur ir does not help. I have tried unistalling iCloud control panel and re-installing it from a fresh download. Again, no luck.
I have tried to find an older version of the control panel to see if I can get back to where I was before the update, but cannot find it anywhere.
From the number of things I see on my web searches, this seems to be a common problem, but noone seems to have a good answer.
I am running an Ipad2 and an iPhone 4s on iCloud, as well as my desktop PC with Outlook. I really need to keep all my calendars and contacts sunk up via iCloud so I am not constantly trying to juggle schedules, etc.
I would appreciate any advice to help resolve this issue.

I have one windows vista PC with Microsoft outlook with two calendars and two contacts ( family and work in each case). My wife syncs her ipad 2 via icloud and I am about to buy an iphone but as much as I have tried I cannot find out how to sync from one set of calendar and contacts (family to my wife's ipad) and separately the other calendar and contacts (work) to my iphone via icloud (or any other way efficiently) off the same PC. Although I have found lots of these similar sorts of issues on the forum, to my surprise I have not found this exact issue and so I have not yet found the solution. Any help appreciated!
Hello desert_dweller5,
It sounds like you art trying to access a Shared Photo Stream, but you do not have one of the devices to enable your Apple ID as an iCloud account. The following article provides information on how Shared Photo Streams work:
iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
The article states that for privately Shared Photo Streams to work, the recipient will not only have to have an Apple ID, but it will have to be an iCloud account:
Friends and family with iCloud accounts can view your photos in the Photos app on any device using iOS 6 or later; on a Mac in iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later; on a Windows PC with Windows Vista or later and iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later installed; or on a second generation or later Apple TV with software version 5.1 or later installed. They can also view your photos on the web if you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your Shared Photo Stream.
Since you do not have an iCloud account and just and Apple ID, your friend can share the photo stream as a public website so that you can view it, as stated in the same article:
Can I share with people who don't have an iCloud account?
Yes. If you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your shared photo stream your photos will be published to a website that anyone can view in an up-to-date web browser.
To be able to change an Apple ID to an iCloud account, you would need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later as stated in the following article:
Creating an iCloud account: Frequently Asked Questions

I just installed Outlook 2013 today. Initally it was showing contacts calendars from my iCloud. Then i got a message that I could not have two outlooks on the computer and I needed to remove one of them. I did take off outlook 2007. Now the control panel does not give me an option to sync with outlook at all. It just tells me that mail contacts calendars reminders and notes are avilable at icloud.com.
I hope to be able to get control panel and outlook to talk nicely again soon.
any help would be greatly appreciated.I have a similar issue. I installed Office 2013 yesterday. iCloud 2.1.1.3 I thought was working - I could see the Add-On in Outlook and my contacts were showing correctly under people but it showed in the iCloud control panel that my email for icloud was not connected. I tried removing my iCloud account from Outlook with the intent to reconnect it via the iCloud Control Panel. Bad idea apparently--anytime I try loading the iCloud Control Panel it crashes office. I have reintalled the control panel, tried the office repair, tried enabling / disabling the add-ons, tired a seperate test Outlook profile--nothing works- I am no longer able to integrate the icloud features into Outlook.
I am using Win 7 x64 SP1 with Office 2013 x32. iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1.3
Update: I tried rolling back to a restore point from yesterday to at least get my contacts functioning again. No Luck- the accounts are there again but they are not connected and can't be opened. iCloud Control Panel still crashes Office/Outlook as seen above anytime I try to open it -
Reinstalled icloud control panel for pc and lost contact with contacts and calendar
I downloaded OS5 for my iphone and the new upgrade for my macbook air. Things worked great yesterday with everything pointing to Icloud. I could not open Outlook 2010 this morning. I uninstalled iCloud Control Panel. I got Outlook to open, but it cannot see iCloud and all contacts and calendars are gone and I have no icloud file to point to. How do I reistablish the link?
It stopped working, most probably after the last update of 31st December 2012. I'm not sure though. First time sync works both ways. Calendar items from both iCloud and Outlook appeard in both sides after the first, manual, sync.
All updates from Windows and MS Office are installed (that can also messed everything up btw) -
i have just dowloaded the icloud control panel on my PC and i am am able to see everything that has been pushed to icloud from my ipad. However i cannot see my email. i can send from the computer using icloud, but i do not see any mail that is being received by my ipad, which is set up with my mail server. What haven't i checked lol?
turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 desktop, and was told to go to the iCloud control panel and drag the photos into the
upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done. HELPIf you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

You might not have the plugin for Firefox installed. Adobe has two different versions of Flash - one for Internet Explorer and another for Firefox. Internet Explorer uses ActiveX. You can check if Firefox has the plugin by going to:
* Tools > Add-ons > Plugins, or
* [Image: New Fx Menu] > Add-ons > Plugins
In Firefox, go to this link and Adobe should give you right correct installer:
* https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If for whatever reason it is not choosing the correct OS for you, you can manually select Windows Vista and "Other Browsers" here:
